We came here on a Saturday afternoon. The place was not too busy. The food is good. The pad Thai is a bit on the wet side ad but sweeter. (We really liked it)We are used to pineapple fried rice at Thai places so the Mango Fried rice was a welcome change.My only issue is the way to the restroom is via the kitchen, which just seems very odd.

Roast duck curry was good, white rice is additional. Kids loved the moist chicken pad thai. The Thai BBQ chicken was a bit disappointed in term of marination and texture, but it was not totally bad. Glass noodle salad was okay.

This is my favorite Thai spot in San Jose/Almaden Valley area. Fresh produce and excellent flavors. Small place with good customer service. See lots of folks ordering take out as well. These photos are of the pad-kee-mao (veggie), Basil fried rice w/prawns, and the duck curry w/ extra veggies added. Higly recommend this location for a solid Thai spot.

Very cute ambiance, large dining room - we were sat immediately. Our server was incredibly attentive. The golden tofu & shrimp wonton soup was DELICIOUS (order it no lettuce). Everyone couldn’t stop raving about how fresh our vegetables and ingredients were. We will definitely be back.

Service experience was terrible. The waiter constantly ignored us and focused on other people. We had to wait for over an hour for our appetizers to arrive and it took 2 hours to finish dinner. We canceled an appetizer because of the atrocious service experience. Despite this the waiter had no remorse when I complained to him about the unsatisfactory service experience and refused to care about customer satisfaction. I’d not recommend this place for eating out. We went out as a family on a weekend evening to enjoy dinner and returned with utter frustration due to the horrible service.

I went there to celebrate my boy’s birthday. Sat there with my family for twenty minutes just being constantly ignored even when I waved at the waiter. No water, no service, no greeting, nothing. There were only three tables dining, it wasn’t busy at all. Maybe the staff had a bad day or simply didn’t want to serve. We just left with empty stomachs. I don’t know how such a restaurant could thrive in San Jose.

Cockroach in my Pad Thai!Half way through our meal I discovered a Cockroach in my food and my wife had something strange in hers that was not on the ingredients list. We politely and quietly alerted the server who brought out the owner who politely apologize. But instead of offering us a free meal, they tried to give us more food! We obviously had no more appetite after that. They eventually agreed to not charge us for the 2 orders of Pad Thai but no one else finished there meals and we still had to pay for half finished food and drinks.

Great little hidden gem of a Thai restaurant! I ate here at the recommendation of a local, and was very pleased. We are inside, the service was great. Friendly and attentive, I always appreciate that. Offered different dishes and drinks, but wasn’t pushy about it.We went basic with the food, but the chicken satay, yellow curry, and pad Thai noodles. Everything was great! Big servings too. We left there extra full. Will definitely come back!

The dishes we ordered spicy were not, and the dish we ordered mild was spicy. Chicken was very dry and flavorless. The eggplant was good, but everything else was basic and bland.

Been eating Thai food all my life, usually do my best to support small that restaurants, but dear lord this place has disappointed. Not only was the service rude/bad, I ordered a protein(pork) with my $20 meal and received $0 worth of meat. They were rude and scammed me, just going this review saves someone some money.

Easily one of the best Thai places in all of San Jose with amazing quality food and fantastic service. I really like the fact that having eaten there in the past it feels very homely and welcoming. During COVID Ive ordered from here a ton as well and while I miss the chance to set down and eat here, the food is still as fantastic as ever. I love their chicken curry and tom yum soup a lot personally and from my experience they do thai hot properly, which is always nice as many places Ive eaten at have unfortunately held back when Ive asked for it. If youre looking for high quality local thai food this is my go to spot even after moving further away from it because its just that good!

The 3 is generously rounded up to show support to the family business. The frozen sea food in the Tom yum soup left a foul taste to ever come back. I hope the owner takes some more care to improve the taste of the food possibly by reducing the items on their menus and focus in better ingredients.

One of the better Thai restaurants Ive had in a while. We ordered the basic green curry, and theres just this smooth and velvety texture that I havent had in other curries over the years. Other curries were flavorful, but thin. This particular dish lovingly coated the rice and really made their rendition stand apart. We also tried the larb and the pad see ewe. Id go happily go back.The lady who works there was attentive and prompt. Excellent service was provided.

The most awful experience in my dining experience ever. The sticky rice was microwaved and when I opened it, it was glued together solid. The Tom yum soup was plain water with lemon and vegetables . All the dishes were just terribly bland.

I have been eating here since 6 years now. And it never disappoints. This is one of the best places to go have a relaxing early evening dinner. We often do take out too. I couldnt pick one favorite because everything I have tried is good. Having said that..I feel no one serves a better Tom Kha soup in all of Bay area. If you are here as a group.. Just order the fire pot. I can almost guarantee you will love it.

This is a small mom-and-pop Thai restaurant in the Almaden valley. the manager or owner cerbini nice and they have a good selection of different type of dishes. The quality is really good although the serving sizes are quite small. The place is not really big and cannot accommodate big parties. But it should be good for a small family.

Erawan Thai is an excellent Thai restaurant. Service was fast and friendly, and the Thai tea was to die for. Their pumpkin curry was really good; their generous portions filled up my stomach. It gets a little pricey if you add a drink or side to your meal, but personally Id eat it again.

One of the worst Thai lunches I have had in a long time. I ordered green vegetarian curry. 1 raw broccoli floret with a few limp overlooked vegetables in a sauce that was too spicy (no choice was given as to degree of spiciness) to eat. No egg roll, no salad- just a watery soup with chili flakes with cut up canned corn. Too bad I chose this place when there are so many other great Thai restaurants around.

Erawan Thai cuisine is a small restaurant by Almaden Express way. Though the capacity is quite small in the restaurant, the food and customer service makes up plenty. The food was very filling and every bite was an adventure of different spices that blended together very well. The customer service was exemplary. The waitress was friendly and made sure all our water glasses were filled and our table was clear of dishes. 9.5/10

I was in the area and had time to eat lunch. A salad would be nice because of the hot weather. Coming inside I wasn’t blown away by the decoration. Anyway I came here for the food. I ordered Thai salad. Basically the contents were iceberg lettuce, cucumbers, red onions, carrots and a peanut dressing. The dressing was more of a dip consistency, I was disappointed. On the other hand the regular ice tea was very good. Unfortunately, my server didn’t asked if everything was ok. Let me say, I did asked my server for a salad suggestions. I ordered the Thai Salad instead. Big mistake! Thai Salad and a regular ice tea cost $11 bucks.Anyone else with similar experience?

Ambiance and service was really good. Its is a cozy place and tons of elephants decor. They had a huge selection of items and even a separate page for vegetarian options. We ordered roti paratha, vegetarian pad see ew and chicken pad kee mo. Roti and curry was good. Main course was very average. The food served was cold and Thai food tastes ok when its not hot, that could be a reason for the average taste.

OK! BEWARE!!!!!! Friday June 21st was the worst service I have ever had at any restaurant. I ordered a Togo order for basil Thai rice. Went inside and picked it up and was so hungry and decided to eat in my car. I took around 7 bites and found a hair. Walked back into the restaurant and didnt want to make a scene so I told the waitress that I found a hair in my food. She was nice took it back to the cooks and they went crazy started yelling and saying Im wrong and talking in their language. I told her I was grossed out and would like a refund. They cooks that were yelling and making a scene told the waitress that I couldnt get a refund that I had to get a new order. I was so shocked and left. Who would want a new order of food when the cooks get mad and are yelling at you? I couldnt believe what I was hearing. Its sad to see restaurants able to do this to people. I just hope I can help someone out there to make a smarter decision when thinking about this restaurant. Thank you all for taking the time to read my review.

Pad see ew had no flavor at all. The chicken wings had a hint of fishy flavor which is not what I expected from garlic chili sauce. The basil eggplant was just ok, and so was the tofu mushroom, which leaked all over the place because of a cracked container. The only thing that was decent was the roti appetizer. Very disappointing over all, considering together that all cost $60+.

We visited on a Friday evening. We did not need a reservation. We ordered the thai basil fried rice and yellow curry. Food arrived early. The portion was good enough for two people. Both the fried rice and the yellow curry tasted really good. Would definitely visit again.

Good local small business, tasty food, and the most friendly staff you could ask for. Tends to be quiet, especially earlier in the week. Im a big fan of the Pad See Ew, but all the dishes Ive tried are good quality and the staff is happy to bend over backwards to get just the right amount of spicy.

The duck was crisp and fatty, the yellow curry was rich with a hint of sweetness, the papaya salad was refreshing and spicy, and the angel wings were crunchy and savory.I also tried the banana fritters. The fritters were warm and melted in your mouth and is paired perfectly with pineapple ice cream!Overall I really enjoyed the food and would come back again! Good Thai food, but I found it to be rather expensive and heavily weighted toward seafood (and especially prawns). I was a bit disappointed with the spicy level of the food despite the waitress fretting that my order of extra spicy would result in the food being sent back, it turned out to be not spicy in any way. Saving grace was that the food was tasty, so I forgive the lack of burning.

Nice, homey little place. Unpretentious and relatively inexpensive. Good food, served promptly. It can get busy at lunch time but generally not too crowded. A little out of the way so you shouldnt have angry issues getting a table.

Went with a group of 11 at 8pm on a Sunday with a RSVP. It wasnt packed but taking RSVPs is still great. Food there was really tasty. Ordered the tom yum and tom kha soups. Both were tasty and plenty to go around the table. The pad thai is saucy and probably would be better with more spice. The pad see ewe was on point. Duck curry was good but not as good as the mango curry! I highly recommend that one. Didnt get a chance to post pics cuz everyone dove in too quick!
