Delicious food and the owner is awesome! This is a great spot for any eater, not just for the vegans. You won’t be disappointed! There is something for everyone. We got the Thanksgiving Sandwich (a special) and the Meatloaf Sandwich (menu item); both were excellent. Don’t sleep on Eris! Go go go!

Glad we went here for a quick bite before dinner bc the place we were going for dinner ended up being randomly permanently closed. We got a big bowl of what seemed like a taco salad(I didnt order it so not sure the name). It was so delicious! Flavorful,hearty,and enough for 2(although I could have eaten it all by myself hahahah). I also had an horchata which Im picky about then and this was so good. The service was great and loved their lil patio and glad they were dog friendly(as I think all vegan places should be!)Definitely recommend and I will go again when in the area.

Amazing Vegan and mostly gluten free food. Price to portion was right on and the people who work there are very nice! Had the BAM BAM BURGER & The Vegan Gyro was so good that i had to look twice to make sure it wasn’t lamb!I Wish the outside was a little prettier but I came for the food and it was 5 stars! Scott the owner checked on us and the cashier she was helpful and sweet. Can’t wait to go back again!!

Tried this place a couple times. It’s really good. If Scott the ownerIsn’t Working the service is midAnd the cashiers aren’t as enthusiastic. The prices are reasonable. Only things to the owner is don’t take it personal when a supporting customer may want to customize their order. May add extra sauce or take off cheese.

I’m surprised how many five star reviews there are for this restaurant..I never leave reviews but hopefully this will warn some folks.As a vegetarian, I was excited to see such a highly rated spot with great menu options. However, the food itself left much to be desired. I ordered the Bam Bam burger, and it literally made me sick. As I’m writing this, I definitely have some sort of food poisoning. The biggest culprit was the bun/bread. It was raw and under cooked. My boyfriend got the Philly cheesesteak and he’s also sick. Overall, both of our meals had a very “mushy” texture to them. The food was incredibly heavy and everything lacked flavor and was soft and undercooked. Would not go here again.

There isn’t anything negative to report here. The atmosphere filled with Pop-Culture, the OMG delicious veggie food and to boot one of the most charismatic restaurant owners, Scott, really ties up everything nicely.This evening I had the Meeatloaf, it was to die for. Oh my goodness the food is PERFECTION. You can taste the organic and fresh flavors in every bite. The sweet potato tacos, the galactic fries and the cheeken pesto gyro is 🔥! This is a review that took me awhile to make, but I finally have the chance to talk about how completely AMAZING this place is. I met the owner of the shop and he was absolutely sweet and funny guy to talk to, I feel awful for forgetting his name, but I would recommend this place to anyone, vegan or not!! He made me feel welcomed and we chatted a bit about our families and what I am doing with school, but the fooood, the food is what made the experience of a lifetime. Definitely coming back again when I’m in the mood for a beach day and wanting a huge portion of delicious food. If you eat light, then bring a friend to help, the food was bigger than I imagined it to be!! BEST PART HE MAKES EVERYTHING IN-HOUSE and NUT FREE! Come here if you’re looking for a healthier option in an area that’s fast food based. Amazing service, amazing owner, and I’ve never had vegan food that made me want to come back and try everything!!

What a gem of a vegan restaurant in Oceanside. The owner makes all of the food from scratch, from the buns to the meats to the fries, all are made in-house. There is always a rotating selection of desserts and specials, which adds to the variety. For repeat customers, there there is a points system, which quickly converts into freebies, like meals and drinks, and the owner often does weekly deals for those who are on their customer list. Not only is the food fantastically delicious and fresh, the portions are huge! Sometimes one meal can feed two or three people! The menu is accommodating to almost every dietary need, including gluten-free, and since the owner makes everything, he is extremely knowledgeable of all the ingredients in every dish. This is a must-stop!

Vegan restaurant unlike anything else. Its not your typical burger place, its more of all natural home made (even ketchup and bread) food place. Prices are high but Taste brings nostalgia and portion size is huge making it all worth. Highly recommend. Scott is amazing, he knows every customer by name, creating a homelike feel.

WOW this place was phenomenal!!! Run, do not walk here!!! I heard about it searching around online, and it definitely lived up to its hype. I drove from San Diego to try it—completely worth it. The owner is also so gregarious and gave great recommendations. I normally do not like kombucha, but the tangerine and vanilla cream twist he suggested was amazing.

Fantastic food, I’ve tried the taco sampler, which had three different kinds of tacos. All three were great, the Adobado Seitan was perhaps my slight favorite. The pieces of Fysh in the Fysh tacos were unbelievable. I haven’t had a fish taco since going vegan, that was really nice to experience again. I also tried out a fantastic chick’n tinga taco that was on special. The restaurant is a comfortable spot with some outdoor seating. The staff is very friendly as well.

You will be delighted with the most delicious and creative foods and kombuchas you will have ever tasted! @erisfoodco and @livingteabrewingco are a must visit when in Oceanside. From the minute we walked in the owner treated us like friends and welcomed us into his incredible space. We tasted the strawberry, persimmon, guava and blood orange kombuchas (and there were so many additional delicious flavors!) settling on Strawberry and Persimmon chilled from the tap to go with our incredible Bam Bam and Jughead burgers. Talk about instagram worthy burgers - the presentation with the homemade pretzel bun was as incredible as the flavors. Equally impressive were the monster fries (with added seitan). Everything we ate was a WOW right down to the most delicious homemade ketchup. For our 9month old daughter he insisted on making her something delicious as well and graciously made her the BEST dill and chickpea soup accompanied with super sweet ripe strawberries and a to go container of extra soup because she loved it so much. She enjoyed lunch just as much as we did and even had fun in a reading corner the owner set up to entertain adult and kid alike. The owner thought of everything right down to a water bowl outside for four legged friends. Fabulous all vegan food, top notch kombucha, incredible ambiance and hospitality like no other! Came here because the reviews were great, the videos on social media were great and the menu was looking promising! Came in and ordered at the counter. $40+ for two sandwiches and fries. We decided to sit outside and the decor was super nice and beach style, it’s probably super cute at night when the lights are on.We ordered the bucmaroo banzai and the chikun bakun ranch sando and when it came out it was served with their house made ketchup but I prefer ranch so I asked the man for ranch and some napkins and he kind of stopped and looked at me as if he couldn’t believe I was asking for that? It was a confusing gaze he gave but he brought it out and I thanked him. The ketchup was kind of like a marinara sauce, the fries were cooked nicely and had great flavor and the chicken patties were well made, delicious and dense. This is a great vegan place with amazing ideas and food that is delicious and makes you feel full! I want to try everything on the menu!!

Very tasty food!Less oily would be even better.Very difficult and messy to eat, so wrapping the burger and paper would help!I love that atmosphere and the artwork!They even had a chess boardAt first I ordered a burger ($17) and a soda ($6) and the total came out to $32 somehow, then I remove the soda and it was still $25 for the burger. Then he reduced it to $21 before tip. Im confused how tax would be $4 though, as I never got a receipt. :(

Fantastic food and a great overall experience. This is a hidden gem in Oceanside that I didn’t even know existed until a few days ago, but quickly became my favorite vegan spot in North County. It really is kind of hidden though. When you get there, trust that you’re at the right place and go to the counter to order. Also, parking is very easy.As for the food, all of it was amazing. The fries were perfect. They really stood out and were as good as any I’ve ever had. Great pizza and sandwiches as well. Everything is fresh and most everything is made in house. Loved the entire experience and can’t wait to go back.

This is awesome place for Vegans while in Oceanside. Scott runs the place with a lot of passion. I had the Philly and it was amazing. For small vegan eaters the portions are large. Scott has a very touching story as to why he serves large portions and something to ask him. The kombuchas are also really good.

If I could write all the positive things about the food, these humble people, and this place, this review would be a novel...!!!My boyfriend and I went to their previous restaurant Eve Encinitas and it was BY FAR the BEST pizza we had ever had in our lives!!In a mission to find this restaurant (whose name we couldnt remember but we had tons of pizza photos from 3 years ago when we went) we found out they had Eris Food Co now!!And oh my god the food is amazing! I had the Bam Bam Burger with a variety of fries mixed together with tasty sauces all over them.My boyfriend had the pepperoni and olive oil flatbread and we shared each others which was the perfect amount for us! The Kombucha was super delicious as well. You can tell they really use high quality ingredients in everything they create.The owner is a vegan genius and Javier is a gifted artist and front counter-man!Thank you gentlemen for the wonderful experience! ❤️

Great food. Great customer service. What a freaking gem. My wife and I recently stopped here while we were in town for a wedding and were blown away by how awesome this place was! Loved chatting with the owner and was floored to hear that the chikun patties are made in-house!! We ordered a mango kombucha to go along with our meal, which was also divine.Definitely come hungry if youre ordering a sando or burger because the portions are big.Something else I loved was how friendly the owner was! Whether youre a local or someone just stopping by, he brings the same warmth and friendliness to all. So great.Wish we lived just a little closer because this would absolutely be on the rotation for dining spots we frequent. I love Eris! As someone who is trying to go towards a more vegetarian life style, this place has given me a lot more hope on my mission. I havent tried a single thing on the menu that I havent enjoyed. My favorite at the moment is the Chicken Gyro and would say that it taste better than any meat alternative. Its a BEAST! Scott is a fantastic owner. He seems really passionate about what he does and Ive loved what hes been doing for the Oceanside community with his events. THIS PLACE ROCKS!

I have celiac disease and Im vegan. I have 3 regular places I like to eat at since it’s difficult to find places for me to eat, but I decided to try somewhere new. I wish I had gone to one of my regular places.My boyfriend got the Philly Cheezestake for $18. I got the fysh tacos with corn tortillas instead of flour tortillas for $14. I asked Scott, who I believe is the owner, how many tacos came with the order. He told me two, but said he recommends getting 3, so I got 3. It does not show how much an a la cart taco is on the menu. Before tip, our order came to $44.34. $18 + $14 = $32, sales tax is about $3, so that would mean I was charged about $9 for one additional taco (which is the size of a street taco), which is outrageous, and I’m not sure why it wasn’t mentioned it would be an additional $9. If I had known, I would have just stuck with the two tacos. The owner also tried to upsale me with avocado on the tacos and my boyfriend with animal fries. We both asked “is it extra?” and both times he responded, “a little bit”. Since we weren’t told the cost, we said no. I find it odd that it wasn’t mentioned how much extra it would be to add those items, as it should be mentioned when it’s not listed on the menu. I’m sure there’s many people that say yes without knowing that it’s extra because you don’t mention it’s extra unless asked, and you don’t tell people how much extra it is. It seems as if the prices of some items were kept a secret. We also didn’t get a receipt, the screen we were using to pay didn’t give us the option for a receipt and no receipt was printed out when we were done ordering, which was also very odd.When the food was brought to us, we said thank you, and I asked a very simple question, “just to make sure, are the tacos on corn tortillas?” You would have thought I asked him something offensive and degrading. He stared at me for a few seconds before answering me with a very annoyed “yes”. As mentioned before, I have celiac disease. I will get sick if I eat gluten (in this case flour tortillas, and I also double checked because I had never seen corn tortillas like the ones I had when I ate here so I couldn’t fully tell if they were on corn or flour). There have been many restaurants I’ve been to where I’ve mentioned this and asked for the gluten free alternative, and they still serve me gluten. So I was just double checking before I ate it as I’m looking out for my health so I don’t get sick, but apparently that’s a very offensive thing to do at this restaurant.I regretted trying somewhere new, I wish I had gone to one of my regular places where the restaurant staff is kind and doesn’t make me feel like I’m annoying for asking a very simple clarifying question to ensure I don’t get sick, and where prices of some items aren’t hidden. I worked in the food industry for 7 years, if I had treated a customer the way I was treated when I went here, I would have gotten in trouble.

Loved our lunch at Eris Vegan Food! We had the Bambam burger and special Krab Kake sando with fries and both were superb. The staff was really helpful pointing out the most popular items and add ons for our orders. I got a mix of the turmeric and ginger kombucha on tap. Incredible food, baked goods, and Kombucha. Really fun art/decor and good vibes. My faves are the seitan tacos, the Havana bowl, and the BBQ sandwich. Their sandwiches are probably like 3 meals in one for most people– unless you’re super hungry or a larger person. I think my partner & I got like 2 meals each out of the BBQ sandwich– and that man can eat! The fries are to-die-for, you should add them to everything. Very filling, tasty, and satisfying. 10/10 must-try for Oside!

@erisfoodco Today I was asked what my favorite #VeganRestaurant is in #SanDiego by a #VeganResturant owner, and I stumbled on my answer and said a restaurant that is not all #Vegan but has #Vegan options and he said to me ‘oh I swear one day they will all come out with saying they are not actually #Vegan I started thinking hard about his question.. and I think I found the answer. This restaurant has the most amazing #VeganFood They are all #Vegan and the food tastes amazing. What’s even more cool is the owner. He keeps it real with anyone walking through the door. He explains items and options on his menu. It’s clear to me, he not only cares about his passion of his food but cares about us, the people consuming it. His question will resonate with me. Fabulous food that is Vegan. The owner who served us is so proud and enthusiastic about his food. We simply accepted his recommendations. We had carne asada bowl that tasted like the best carne asada/beans/rice/veggies salad Ive ever had. We could have shared between us. Only in town for two days, and went to this place on both. Had the taco variety plate and a bbq vegan chicken sandwich, and both were absolutely delicious. This place and Plot are my 2 favorite restaurants in Oceanside. I think we’ve had almost everything on the menu here and it is all consistently top-notch flavor profiles and textures. Perfectly prepared and delicious even for the non-vegan foodies! My favorites are the tacos and the Philly cheese steak sandwich with seared seitan (which I don’t normally like but their seitan is so good). And the desserts are soooo good… moist and bursting with flavor. These guys know good food. Yum!

Ive been to HUNDREDS of vegan restaurants and I can easily say this is my absolute favorite vegan restaurant...EVER!Here are my top five reasons why I rank this as the best vegan restaurant:1. Food: This is an easy one. The food is simply out of this world. Every dish is jam-packed with amazing flavors. I was practically drooling after every bite.2. Quantity: I ordered the pesto chicken and that dish was easily the size of my foream...Im not even exaggerating.3. Creativity: I can tell that so much thought went into every dish, but also the decor inside and outside the restaurant. The restaurant is kid-friendly, too!4. Price: You get soooooooo much food for your money. My cousin--whos not a vegan--said you basically get a 2-for-1 deal. Your meal would be good for lunch and the leftover makes the perfect dinner.5. Wow! This place is amazing. My gf and I came apon Eris Food Co. after a nice afternoon at the beach.Love the decor, vibes and of course the food!The owner was very welcoming and helpful when deciding on what to order.I ordered the meatloaf sandwich (house made meatloaf btw) which came with a side of sweet potato and russet fries and housemade ketchup.My gf ordered the bam bam burger which was a spicy burger on a pretzel bun 😋 Which also came with a side of fries and ketchup.For drinks we ordered kombucha from the tap. This place was a chance discovery when I started staying in Carlsbad for my monthly work trips to Vista. I always look for vegan places and generally I make a point of trying them all. This one has been the best of the vegan comfort food variety -- burgers, sandwiches, meat loaf, etc. All ingredients are made on site (including hamburger buns). When this place first opened the owner Scott was cooking and the place was great. We loved the homemade pretzel buns and sauces. Burgers started coming out sloppy and wet so my wife’s and I stopped going. We decided to give the place another try and went in the other night to get a burger. Buckaroo banzai sando is an epicurean delight as if southern fried chixin meets biscuit and slaw on a biscuit tasting bun. The fries and sweet potato fries are tasteful in every sense. Tiramisu flavor is otherworldly. More people will want to eat plant based/vegan with this great eatery. I will be back to try more soon. Loved playing the retro pacman game in the front while the prepared the goods. My buddy heard about this place and we took a trip to Oceanside. We were not disappointed. There was lots of artistic flair on every wall that gave a nice inviting feel to this beach dive. I tried two kombuchas. The first kombucha I tried was the living liver. That was very tasty and I got the ginger kombucha which was perfect pairing with my meal. I got the three tacos. The tacos were very different from each other. Each delicious in its own way. I would definitely go back if Im hanging with vegans in this area

Stopped by today to try some of the kombucha at Living Tea. Saw last night that there was a vegan kitchen co-located so we decided to give them a try. My wife and I had the taco trio and the minestrone soup. Both of them were excellent. There are three different types of tacos. The first was sweet potato based. I am not a sweet potato person but I still liked this taco. It has a nice deep flavor. The second was avocado. This taco also had roasted peppers that were delicious. The third was a vegetarian fish. This one was spectacular. I asked after and the fish was actually made from coconut. It looked like fish, had a fish texture, and the taco tasted exactly like a great fish taco. The minestrone was also very good. It came with two pieces of very tasty cheesy bread.Since this is co-located with Living Tea, we also sampled several of the kombuchas. After sampling we chose two to have with lunch. They also had other beverages available if you like.

Eris is a must for vegan fare. Im from Houston where we dont have well established vegan cuisine so it was a great surprise to find a dynamic menu of mainstream plant-based food. We had the three tacos and the Bam-Bam burger...blew me away! I mean totally caught me by surprise how good this was.
