Location: great location for good views and some nearby walkable restaurants. The promenade is an enjoyable for daily walks with lots of space for non car activities.Building: showing some age but remodeling many areas and the inside of the complex is very clean and quiet. Love the plants everywhere.Staff: The cleaning and maintenance staff are great and ver friendly. The front desk staff are always very helpful. Some community events which are a nice touch.Management company: the only downside to the place is the management company ES Ring. There is a lot of staff turnover because I presume they don’t pay very well. Which is a shame. They also obviously cut every corner possible to turn more profit by providing the bare minimum resources for maintenance to actually be able to do their job. For example, after being here for over a year, they finally cleaned the windows just this month. They also have a hot tub renovation that was started before I moved in and and still a big hole in the ground after 14 months- which is unfortunate if you are one of the apartments that has had to look at a tarp for the past year.Overall I would live here again. You pay a premium to be here buy I think it is worth it. The problem really is just with the property management business side. I hope they get their act together because they have hired great people and I like living here.

Yes, it’s important to point out the maintenance has greatly improved over the past few months. Yesterday, Joesph came by and replaced the water and air filters. He did a good job and I was surprised how quickly he responded, less than 24 hours from my first request. Joesph has been to my apartment before and he is always friendly and professional. I understand that there has been an additional serviceman employed by Esprit, this is great news.

Large spacious units with plenty of privacy in multiple bedroom units. They offer a decent gym, racquetball and saunas. The pool is probably the best feature as its heated, well maintained and offers plenty of seating. There are hot tubs scattered throughout the building proving one for each section of the building The units have fairly cheap finishes when comparing neighboring buildings but they win with the space, layout and closet space.

I would like to give a special shout out to my main man Joey and the queen of my heart Ciera for holding it down (all their help) during our move in. They were able to provide instant feedback on questions we had and guide us through all the different requirements needed to move in - making our approval process quick and easy. Joey (my main man) went above and beyond to provided the best units to tour based on our recommendations, so we didn’t have to spend any unnecessary time wandering around during our tour. 10 out of 10 would recommend this dynamic duo! If you haven’t booked a tour with them yet and you’re interested in seeing the wonders that is Esprit….what are you even doing. Book a tour and tell them you want the best duo in town to show you around! For the record, they are super busy due to constant bookings - so you might want to book something in advance to guarantee yourself a spot. 0 stars if I could. Absolutely horrible value. Changed ISPs to an objectively worse service by far for the same price (lucky to get 5 mbps down, really unstable). Could get SATELLITE INTERNET that is 5-10x faster for the same price.Edit: You are better off burning 3-4k each month, it would provide more value.Edit: I am not sure who is giving this place more than 1 star... pretty sure any good reviews are fake...

Once you have signed up and paid your money its as if they wash their hands with you and move onto getting the next person signed up. You will be bounced between different departments when you have a problem, and emails are often ignored completely. You might receive reasonable service when theyre showing you round and before you have signed up, but be prepared to spend weeks or months following-up on your emails or calls if anything ever goes wrong before the issue gets resolved, if it ever gets resolved at all.

Esprit recently changed wifi networks without any consultation. The outgoing provide, Spectrum, worked perfectly. The result of the new provider is zero usable wifi. Every neighbor has complained and the response is to call the provider. Only those who require zero wifi should consider moving to Esprit.

Do not ignore the negative reviews; Esprit is run by unprofessional, rude, and dishonest people. It seems that the company is desperately short for cash and they are trying to do whatever they can to get a quick upfront payment.I was recently ask to rent a three-bedroom unit for my supervisor, a C-level executive, and worked with their new agent named Ciera on the application process. I submitted the application and my boss’ credit card was charged a $500.00 deposit to hold the apartment. I was told that the deposit was fully refundable if my boss did not rent the unit for any reason (regardless of approval status), which turned out untrue. His application was approved, and on the day that the remaining amount for the unit was due, my boss requested to briefly speak with the manager, Taje, about the best way to transfer the money for first months rent and security deposit. Strangely, Taje refused to speak to my boss about a simple question that would have taken no more than five minutes. I tried to organize a call with her via email (which she repeatedly ignored) and phone; I was told by her staff that she is unavailable to speak with my supervisor. Another staff member scheduled a call between Taje and my supervisor, but Taje was a no-show. It was baffling.After two days of trying to speak with Taje, my boss finally got on the phone with her. Taje was shockingly rude, like it was a monumental annoyance and task to even speak to my supervisor, who came to the conclusion that living in a building under her management would be a nightmare; I pulled my boss application. Ultimately, because of Taje’s careless, unresponsive, and rude behavior, my boss did not rent this unit and is looking elsewhere for an apartment.Additionally, the entire process was extremely rushed; there was a lot of pressure to complete everything on the spot/immediately. This led to numerous and often rushed conversations (in-person and via phone) that in retrospect conflicted with Esprit’s official policies (i.e. the deposit that they refuse to return despite their prior verbal statements). In essence, they tell you what you want to hear, put pressure on you to sign the docs and send them money as quickly as possible, then shoo you away. Now that I see the many negative reviews previously posted, I realize that my boss dodged a bullet by not moving into Esprit and that my experience is far from unique.His money still has not been returned and we have filed a fraud report with my boss’ credit card company. One of the worst experiences I have ever had with any kind of a vendor/counter-party in my many years of being an executive assistant to Chairmen and CEOs.

I have lived here going on two years! The apartments are wonderful, my neighbors are genuinely great, and they just hired a woman named Stefanie who my husband and I simply love! We had two of our other friends move in because she is amazingly efficient, kind and professional! She is is the type of person who should be in a leadership position as she is super personable. We also love all the maintenance staff and security!

I would not recommend renting here. They don’t keep up with the building whatsoever. Every single appliance in our apartment was broken when we moved in. We had to wait months to get replacements. The elevator was broken constantly, the pool was closed numerous times, as well as the gym. And to top it off.. my car window was smashed in the garage. I would definitely look elsewhere.

I just moved into esprit with my wife and then we upgraded, we love living here. Our experience was met with excellence by Stefanie our leasing specialist. She exudes what customer service should represent, we have recommended two other friends to her and they moved in as well because of her professionalism and amazing customer service. Esprit should definitely put her in a management role to hang on to such an amazing staff member. We also love Robert and Alex in maintenance, keep up the great work everyone we love loving here because of it.

UPDATE: they have worked to resolve the issues I had in my original review.Extremely disappointed on how much the building and service have deteriorated. My wife and I lived here back in 2014-2016 (loved it then) and recently sold our house and moved back in last year. What a big mistake. Since the pandemic they’ve used it as an excuse for everything. Cut back on staff and services, kept all common areas and amenities closed (even after the state allowed them reopened) yet our high rent remains the same. All the appliances are old and falling apart. Our dishwasher started smoking recently, our oven makes the entire apt smell like gas and our ac unit randomly turns on heat when set to cool. Which has been really wonderful in the middle of a heatwave and with kids who wake up in the middle of the night burning up. And instead of replacing it, they refuse to believe us since it switches to heat sporadically and they haven’t been in the apt when it happens. When we call the front desk all we get is condescending attitude. This place is starting to feel like an old motel. I highly recommend going somewhere else unless the rents are cut in half.

Apartment section awesome I give them 5 stars.As of for the marina itself. Horrible marina manager a lazy as can be. Seen few rats crawling from trash bins and also some facilities, very disgusting. I think new management for this marina I ask for multiple pump outs never get done dock attendant always lounging in the break room or whatever it is storage room, very bad service lots ilegal charters also happening seems tons of people coming down to the docks. Take your boat elsewhere I heading out soon

Marina Del Rey Christmas Boat Parade is why we went today. It is a very nice area for watching the boats decorated with Christmas lights, trees, inflatables, characters, elves, snowmen, carolers, etc. pass by as they loop around the Marina several times. This gives everyone an opportunity to find a good spot to take photographs. Parking was the hardest part of the evening because we arrived right at 6.p.m. when the show started. There were fireworks at 5:55 p.m. and events throughout the day. I am definitely happy to have visited the Marina today.

I moved into Esprit just over a week ago and have been thoroughly impressed with the whole move-in process. The amenities, apartment itself, and location of Esprit Marina Del Rey is unbeatable. Additionally, our leasing consultant Marcela has been incredibly helpful in making sure that my roommates and I stay organized throughout move-in. Not a fan. Lived here for years. The nice location quickly sours when you deal with the staff and the building. Not very nice folks. The construction on the road leading to Esprit is never-ending. Its been going on for years and as of June 2020 its gotten worse. Noisy trucks, ditches, nails in your car tires! Meanwhile, Esprit slowly takes away all the added perks of living there - even before the Coronavirus shutdown - and when you speak up as longterm resident why they took something away - they act like you can go jump off a bridge. Im not kidding! I know were all just people - but for the amount of rent they charge - the woman at the front desk - who are the gatekeepers - dont seem like theyve had any real experience in residential services. If they decide they dont want to answer you, they dont answer you. So sorry I decided to live here. If you want to live in the Marina - look at the other buildings in the area. Youll be happy you did!

I moved to Esprit about two months ago and love it! I have an incredible view of the marina and the apartment is modern, spacious and clean. The staff are all very professional and helpful and the amenities like fresh Starbucks coffee and newspapers every morning make you feel like you are at a resort. I question the review of the Sony executive about the noise. The only time I have been awakened is when the sea lions or seals are barking late at night! :) I would recommend Esprit to anyone who is looking for a premier property in the marina! Scott

We wanted to rent one of the units here but found as others have mentioned that the community has a very low standard and the residents feel more like frat boys and girls than a place for families. My partner is a physician and i also work long hours and the environment doesnt seem conducive for professionals to enjoy a quiet life in their home.

Staff is rude. The complex is poorly built and has issues with upkeep. They keep it shiny and clean to make you think otherwise. They have a problem with theft in the garage. The tenants are generally temporary and treat the place that way. There is a awkward party atmosphere around the hot tubs and pools that leave a lot to be desired. You cant cook in the apartment without setting off the fire alarms. Expensive rents, and the complex spends more of its money trying to lure people in rather then keeping the people already there happy

As an execuitve for Sony, I was very happy with my transfer to Los Angeles. I had traveled here for years for business. Deciding on Marina del Rey as a place to live was an easy decision. This is where I always stayed due to the proximity of LAX. I found Esprit to be the nicest Aapartments in the area. It was an easy decision. The views were great, I was familiar with the neighboorhood and loved the great dinning! I moved into building 3 at Esprit after signing a 14 month lease.What I noticed quickly were the paper thin walls and how noisy the residence were. This really surprised me due to how much the rent is to live in Esprit. I quickly learned there are many college kids at Esprit whos parents obvioulsy do VERY well. Wish I could have had a $6000 apartment as a UCLA student!The noise never stopped. I worked with management to even relocate to another unit. No better luck! Same non stop parties all night long!This paired with the smell of dog urine was too much for me to take. I paid to break my lease and leave Esprit. I do love the Marina however I have to have sleep and quite at night.Esprit did not give any of my security deposit back which I found to be very strange. I lived there under 3 months and did not even get around to handing a single picture in my apartment home. They sited damage etc. They also said there was pet damage!! I dont own a pet! Perhaps it was pet urine or feces I stepped in while trying to get to my home!! This is rediculous!I highly recommend that you think twice before moving in here. Dont be fooled by the nice views and attractive staff. These apartment homes are like a frat house! Hoever my frat house at UCLA did not have 20 plus dogs urinating etc everywhere!
