This review is for the restaurant side of the business. There is also a small Italian grocery store that has all sorts of hard to find Italian pastas canned goods. There is a lot of wine, and fresh vegetables. It is a great place to hang out and find some cool things for that next Italian dinner party. The food at the restaurant was pretty good. We had the mushroom pasta as well as the beef lasagna. The portions were smaller than I would’ve expected. Definitely not shareable. And the pasta was good but not anything to amazing. Maybe I will try something different next time and see. I would recommend it though if you are in the mood for a good pasta selection and there’s a nice atmosphere inside. We did take out, and the service was prompt.

Etto Pasta Bar has a lot of potential, but our first ever dining experience there was a bit disappointing, so Id give this place a 3/5.My friend and I decided to stop by Etto Pasta Bar on our way to Hearst Castle. They dont take reservations for brunch, so you can walk in and place your order at the counter. Once youve ordered, theyll give you a number. You can take that number with you and find a table for your group.Etto Pasta Bar is a casual and relaxed dining restaurant. The dining room is bright and airy with plenty of natural light with an open kitchen. There is also outdoor seating on a patio. We ordered the following items.1. Local beef bolognese2. Aglio e Olio with Italian sausage3. Garlic bread4. Tiramisu5. A pumpkin dessert (not listed on the menu)Garlic bread was soft and easy to break, but it was dry. You get 4 pieces of garlic bread. In our case, 2 pieces were more cheesy than the rest. Overall, the garlic bread lacked consistency. My friend ordered local beef bolognese, and it was cold by the time it was served; almost as if this dish was sitting on the counter while the other was being cooked. The flavors were alright. Nothing really that stood out.I would have given Aglio e Olio 5/5 if it werent for these 2 issues that I encountered- 1. All the noodles were clumped together in a big patty shape. 2. All the white wine sauce was at the bottom, and noodles didnt have anything on it.Those 2 things combined, the pasta tasted really bland. I only got to experience the true flavors of the pasta at the very end, thanks to the pasta that was already soaked in the sauce. Had it been done right, this dish could have been the highlight of our meal. Its a bummer. The tiramisu was rich and delicious with great consistency and not too overpowering coffee flavor. The pumpkin dessert was very appealing when it came to look and feel. It was good too, but neither of us like pumpkin as much, so tiramisu was definitely the better dessert for us.The service was okay. We had our servers attention up until we were served our food. After that, we had to wait and track down our server to ask for anything.Overall, it was an okay experience. We were in a rush, so we didnt have the time to tell the staff about the problem with the dishes.

I’m still drooling thinking about how delicious our family lunch was! My only regret is not showing up more hungry. We started with the focaccia, followed by grilled wedge salad and main course of roasted chicken and grilled vegetables. EVERYTHING was exceptional! Great service and they were very accommodating to our large party of 12!

I have been enjoying Ettos Italian imports store for over 4 years and now I get to enjoy their amazing food. Having the opportunity to cook and learn from the best in Italy, they are now sharing that wealth of knowledge with all of those who grace their presence at Ettos Pasta Bar. I highly recommend making a reservation. We did not and were lucky enough to find seating at the bar. While you will notice any restaurant in SLO County that serves pasta on their menu then you know its Ettos. They finally decided it was time to bless us with their own restaurant. While I decided to try the roasted chicken and vegetables my husband tried their Arrabiata with Italian sausage and let me tell you, they did not disappoint! Im pretty sure our eyes rolled to the back of our head with every bite! Ettos is located in the amazing Tin City of Paso Robles. Stop in for lunch or dinner and I promise you will be happy you did! We went to the restaurant and ordered a take away. It was past the take away cut off time and they were busy with dine in orders over the busy weekend evening. However the staff was kind enough to still make an exception for us They were very friendly and gave us details on what could be made vegan and vegetarian, checked with the chef and gave great suggestions.Food was delicious. Would love to go there for a dine in some time. The ambience looked very nice.

Seriously delicious, fresh pasta! We stopped here when driving on the 101 from SoCal to NorCal. Despite it being a busy Saturday night and having no reservation, we (2) were seating immediately at the bar, our pasta was served in less than 10 minutes, making our food stop a quick and delish 30 minutes. The ambiance is warm and inviting. The pomodoro had well balanced tomato sauce (fresh, sweet) with perfect al dente spaghetti and the alla gricia had crispy, meaty guanciale and a sauce that was rich & umami but not heavy. Would go out of my way to visit again, would love to return and try more!

Amazing pasta, always delicious. This is one of our favorite places to eat at while in town. It is counter service so it’s easy to stop in quickly for a meal while out wine tasting. Located in Tin City so there are a lot of things to explore within walking distance. Love the whole vibe and look and there’s nice outdoor seating as well. Food comes out hot and quickly. My favorite dish so far has been the alla gricia pasta: the guanciale pork is cooked perfectly. The beef ragu was amazing as well.

Dined at the bar. Nick provided fantastic service! Food was excellent; had a delightful potpourri of dishes; focaccia, side vegetables (delish!) meatballs and chopped salad. Lovely experience 🏆.
