One of our favorite restaurants. Great casual atmosphere and food and over 300 rums on-hand. And they even do rum flights. Eva and her staff are rare and genuine gems. Almost always full and can be difficult to get a seat without a reservation, for good reason!

I have to start by saying this hole in the wall location is fabulous. I absolutely hate coconut, but the coconut shrimp was so good I had seconds. The ginger-mango chutney was a perfect dip for thre shrimp. The crab and corn cake was delicious and had a slight kick to it. Never having tried jerk chicken, I decided to give it a taste. I was not disappointed. Large portion and very well seasoned. 480 rums available to choose from so Im absolutely coming back and next time Im bringing friends.

If you havent been hear you are missing out on one of the best restaurants in OC. Eva (the owner) is usually there and she is awesome. Also, if you like Rum, this is the spot...and if you dont youll learn to love it here.

First of all when I walked into Evas I felt like family was cooking for me. The place has such a warm down to earth feeling & the aromas circulating in the air are delicious. I liked that Eva is actually there cooking, mingling & making her guest feel warm & comfortable. The service was FIRST CLASS and the food was delicious. I had the Jerk Salmon which comes with beans, rice, mixed shredded vegetable medley & a banana plankton. I also tried these appetizers egg plant, crab cakes, coconut shrimp & if you like spicy I HIGHLY recommend the spicy shrimp....ON FIRE...and I dare you :)That spice comes straight from the Caribbean because its a spice like no other Ive ever had. HOT but lots of flavor. This local spot is a gold mind if you like flavor, spice & good food. The wine & mixed fruit drinks made me feel like I was on vacation. Im definitely going back, probably next week. Great food, great service, great energy & vibe also very clean.

Man, we really enjoyed our experience. From the food, drinks, service, all great! Not a huge place, and certainly not some place you would call fancy, but Id definitely recommend making reservations, especially on a weekend night. The food makes you feel like you are sitting a restaurant in the Caribbean. We really enjoyed everything we ordered and I have never seen a place offer so many types of rum, probably near 500 options. We tried one of their rum flights and enjoyed it. I never realized rums can be so different....and strong!

I had a great dinner at Evas. Spicy jumbo prawns for starters. Pork loin for my main. A few mixed drinks later and that was a wrap. Great staff. Nice cozy relaxed setting. Worth making reservations in advance. Seating is limited so dont be alarmed of you need to wait for a table. Go check it out! #approved

My visit here was one of the most memorable meals Ive ever had. The staff makes you feel like youve been friends forever. The drinks are great. The jerked pork loin was so juicy and delicious. The perfect balance of spices and flavor. When dessert time comes, do yourself a favor and get the chocolate bread pudding. You will not be disappointed.

Wow! What can I say?! This is a real foodie/cook speaking. I ordered a dark and stormy cocktail. ( I’m very picky about my ginger beer because my Mum made her own and it was amazing.) Great cocktail. My main was the West Indian curried snapper. To die for. The layers of flavour just kept evolving in my mouth. Eva stopped by the table to check on us and told me it takes her 30 hours to make that curry. I can’t wait to go back and have that again. My daughter ordered the blackened catfish and said “ Mum I’m full but it’s so good ....a few more bites.” 😂Highly recommended. Make a reservation.

Evas!!! This is one of my very favorite restaurants. I wish I could get over there a little more often, but every time Ive gone, my experience has been spectacular. This is as authentic as youre going to find on this side of the country when it comes to Caribbean food. My favorites are the jerk pork, of course the Jamaican style jerk chicken, and everything else on the menu. One cannot say enough about the staggeringly awesome rum collection… This is a small place, there are only a few tables, reservations are generally necessary. However, I showed up one Thursday evening a few months ago and they were able to seat me without a reservation. I thought that was great...

Evas is a must dine restaurant. The quality from the hostess, waitress, food, drinks and owner are beyond five star. The food is simply delicious. The experience is life lasting. I have recommended Evas to every one I know who truly appreciates all aspects of superb dining. What a great experience. I recommend you try the fish stew. It is not your typical stew as you would think a stew to be. It a beautifully cook Australian roughy/flounder that is cover in a delicious sauce that will have your taste buds and spirit dancing. I asked Eva to add my favorite Caribbean dish of Curry Goat to the menu, she said she would consider it. Evas is truly authentic. Eva, herself is truly eloquent!!!
