I just want to say that I do take the time to observe when Im waiting for my food whenever I go to a restaurant and watching the waitresses and servers, i noticed they are like family and I was treated like a family member I felt like I was visiting my family for a gathering we had lunch we smile we had a great time thats how I felt. It was amazing the atmosphere was amazing the food was great the coffee was great everything was great I would 100% recommend this spot to anyone and everyone this is a very friendly place to come to enjoy your lunch or dinner I actually had breakfast. My waitress was Maria Montoya she was great she came to my table 4-5 times to bring me coffee and asking if everything was okay beautiful smile beautiful lady Beautiful Soul you can tell that she loves her job shes a great greeer as well. Also the pregnant young lady I didnt catch her name I didnt ask her but she was wonderful too she came to my table she also brought me coffee it was just a an amazing experience to have my breakfast there. I usually dont eat alone, but this time, I was waiting for someone, so I had plenty of time to observe the entire dynamic & and atmosphere. will definitely come back again and again and again 5 stars from me😊🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Ordered breakfast for pick up over the phone. Had my food ready pretty quick, guy at the counter was welcoming, courteous and professional. Warned me about the busyness on Sundays. Got my food and every worker who was around wished me a good day. Ordered an early special, loved that I didnt have to order a huge plate. Food was good.

Customer service is great, got seated right away and they are on top of everything and checking in on you.But...the food, at least what i got, not so great, kinda regret coming here.I ordered a plate or chilaquiles and the portion was good for the price but the taste of it was so plain, no flavor at all. Also got a taste of the menudo and literally has no flavor whatsoever, taste like water. Dont think Ill be coming here again.

My mom brought me here a month ago for breakfast and this is the second time I’ve come back. The chilaquiles are DELICIOUS we added chorizo to them and I’m not sure why I’ve never done this before. I highly recommend this spot.

Stopped by for breakfast this morning. It was not busy and the service was friendly. I ordered the chilaquiles in green salsa and shredded beef topped with a sunny-side up egg along with a cup of coffee.It was a simple yet delicious breakfast. Cant wait to try something from the lunch menu.

We have been coming to this place for years. We dont like spicy food and this is one of the places that serves food with just a little kick. We love the machaca and chilaquiles here amongst many others. People are nice as well as the family friendly atmosphere.

Great food. Great service. All staff was outstanding never in any food place have I experienced anything like the servers here. No nonsense of that your server will be with you they all server you and make sure your cup is always full and that you dont need nothing. Definitely making this a regular spot. I came to celebrate my fathers birthday and was impressed with their food. I order the beef enchildas and they were amazing. The staff is friendly and althought it was really busy they always made sure your cup of coffe was filled.

Ive been going to Evas for over 20 years. Its family owned and theyve kept their home style American/Mexican food consistency that whole time. Always reliable and friendly. They get more crowded now as more people know of them. And theyve only recently raised prices for inflation, but they are still very reasonable. It is the best breakfast in the city of Bell Gardens. They also do lunch, but no longer do dinner.

I love it. My family has been going there even before I was born and have been going there ever since. My dad took my mom there once and it became kinda like a family tradition to go there when we can. I love going there for the broccoli soup and for breakfast. The people there have known me since I was born and even know what I usually order. I totally recommend for you and your family and/or friends to go there for breakfast, brunch, and lunch.

I used to like coming to this place because of their excellent service but things have changed. They seem to be all over the place with the orders. Not sure if they are under staffed. They kept messing up our order. We didnt get some of our food until we we were basically done. Will think twice about it before coming back!

Excellent service, was greeted right away and waiter was very friendly. Attentive and food came out quickly. Chilaquiles and breakfast burrito was good. Nothing special though. Salsa on chilaquiles tasted like store bought. Asada was bland. Chips were freshly made though which was nice. Cappuccino was really tasty.

This is a nice place and the service is friendly, BUT....why would management have only ONE waitress working a Friday Evening? I went there on Jan., and noticed only one waitress was working a couple of tables. Once we sat down, she was nice and presented menus, but by the time we ordered I noticed more people coming in sitting down. In less than 30 minutes she had almost 10 tables to take care of with more people coming in. What this translated too was her running around like crazy and I cold see the frustration in people waiting for coffee refills, place orders, or ask for other things..She was also acting as cashier, I mean this girl was the only one serving this packed restaurant. I got up with my two cups of coffee and went to the counter and asked her if I can have a refill thinking i saved her time by going to the counter myself, instead she snapped at me saying ill take it to the table myself When? tomorrow? geeezzz. Eventually what looked like a kitchen helper came out to help her clear tables and deliver coffee.. Icing on the cake was the fact that I noticed my shoes kept making this splashing sound, and I took my cell phone to use the see what that was, turned out I been standing on a puddle of water under the table that have sipped through the wall from the previous rains, Oh well.....there will be better days for Evas Cookery. I do give props for the one lonely waitress to be brave enough to try and tackle a packed restaurant on a Friday night. And Management, shame on you for poor staffing planing.

I grew up in Bell Gardens (BGHS 92) and my dad would take me to go eat at Evas Cookery in the late 80s and early 90s. He would always get biscuits and gravy, and I would get huevos rancheros. The food was great and the wait staff were very nice. We always enjoyed it. I left California in 2004. My dad passed in 2014, so its been a while since Ive been to Evas but it will always remind me of Dad and the good times we had there ❤️
