Good food, clean place and friendly staff. As the food was made fresh, the service seems to be a bit slow. We ordered veg and non veg thali with comes with an appetizer, two curries, rice, garlic naan and dal. The dessert can be asked for as part of it later and we got kulfi which definitely finished the meal. The portions are generous for the price. Would recommend it to everyone!

We just went there this evening. The food was excellent. I had the chicken Tikka Masala, and my gf had the chicken chow mein.Both of which were exquisite.The service was just as good. People complaining about the wait are silly. Not everything needs to be brought out in 5 minutes or less.We will definitely be going back. We have family coming to town at the end of the month, and will be taking them there.

Found this place during pandemic and food is spectacular. But dont come or order take-out if you are in a hurry. They eventually get the delicious food out to you but slowly. Until recently it still takes 45min or more after ordering, plan accordingly

Everest restaurant is an amazing find. We had a function for Diwali. Our event was for the Malaysian association of Southern California. All our members were very pleased with the food and the hospitality. This is a wonderful a location that serves authentic Indian food. Anita, the owner and her brother are accommodating and super helpful. They opened up the restaurant for us to set up the day prior to our event.. We highly recommend this to anyone who wants good service and great food. We will definitely be back. Thanks for a great time, Everest restaurant..

I ordered 5 different dishes .Specially told the guy Ajeet who took my order over the ph.Please NO SPICE.I emphasized and repeated myself.When the food arrived, dhal, lamb, Briyani was all spicy.When I called the restaurant they just argued :to them no Spicy is Mild.On the order he put mild instead of no spice . Here is a hint: The food is made fresh to order, so please be patient when ordering, especially on the weekend. It is definitely worth the wait! I overheard some customers trying to convince the owner to make a lot of the foods that sell the most to have them ready super fast and they were told that they wont do that because it compromises the quality and taste of the food. We previously had several good experiences here, but this time took a turn for the worse. We waited about an hour for the food- not to mention that they hadn’t even begun preparing our order. Even more aggravating: our order didn’t come with rice! During previous experiences, rice was always included with our meal. Additionally, when we proceeded to call them, they argued that rice was listed as a side dish you must buy, which does not appear to be the case. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. If you ever try this place, consider yourself warned!

This place has good food. However this place is ridiculously expensive for the portions. Not only that but it takes well over an hour of waiting to get your food. The entire restaurant is full of unsatisfied customers who have all waited well over an hour. One person ordered their food over the phone over an hour ago and still after another hour of waiting hasn’t gotten their food. Their service is terrible though the servers are nice individuals. This is not a place you want to eat at. There are many more places that will give your higher quality food for cheaper with excellent service. Do not give this place business. Also their children are very rude and run around the restaurant the entire time.

Ambient and exhilarating environment especially for medium events. Provides true Himalayan ( Nepali) vibes with some typical Nepali items like Chicken Choila, chicken momo and Chili potatoes. Everest Cuisine is the best Indian style food restaurant in this area. Service and staff are really nice and the way they treat which is very rare now a days in any restaurant specially they personally come to you and ask you about food and for the feed back so I would definitely recommend this restaurant to all people and must try it. Astonished by the reviews. Family like service wasnt my experience. Ordered online yesterday (a Sunday) at 5:40. ETA 6:00. I showed up at 6:10. There were at least 10 other people standing around waiting for orders. Nobody addressed me. By 6:40 ONE person waiting for food had even been looked at by an employee. The customer in front of me politely asked for the status of her order, a woman working there said Let me check and never came back. At 6:40 I walked out. The woman at the counter spent nearly the entire hour I was there staring at all of us, on the phone taking more orders... What a bummer. The food looks great, the reviews are great, but right now theyre takeout only and clearly they have no idea how to operate takeout.

The place has gone down since my review 2 years back. Went in today ordered food to a clueless waiter who doubles as a tutor for the owner’s kids. Dirty dishes were sitting on the tables next to us. After 20 minutes the guy comes out saying the clueless waiter didn’t even put the order in.Avoid eating there. BAD service, clueless people; only serves take out customers. Let me just start by saying that this place ROCKS! My friend and I were just driving by Hungry and decided to stop after seeing the place and reading the reviews online. The super nice lady at the front said that they just started serving outdoor from this morning and even helped us through the menu and their must try best dishes. The ladys hospitality and warm smile convinced us to stay and we ended up sitting outdoor and eating. My friend and I ordered, Himalayan MOMO (10/10), Garlic Naan (10/10), Lamb Tikka Masala (10/10) and Garlic Tofu (10/10). It also came with a side of rice. Everything was spot on. Their portions are also really good size for the money. They serve Incredibly delicious food and I loved their family like service! They literally treated us like a family. Even though this was our first time, we felt at home and wont be our last time. Definitely one of the best Himalayan food in the area. Everyone here is extremely attentive and helpful. We cant wait to come back already with more friends now that they have outdoor seats open. I really love supporting small local businesses and I want this place to succeed. Give this place a try. I had been looking for Nepalese cuisine near me for some time since trying it for the first time overseas; this was our first time ordering from Everest, and my husbands first experience with Himalayan style Indian food. Absolutely delicious!! Family style ordering, we got the chicken tikka skewer, regular and garlic naan, the house special chicken chow min, soup, and basmati rice. Chicken tikka had plenty of sauce, onion and bell pepper, basmati rice (generous serving, you will have extra!) is lightly fragranced by maybe cardamom and clove? Chow min was packed with flavor, and my only regret was not getting more naan!It looks like they normally operate with a buffet in house, so I’m looking forward to trying that once it’s safe to have buffets again.MY TIP: Give yourself about an hour ahead of time to order food during the dinner rush, order online if you can so you can just grab your food and go, and don’t be like the guy that came in, saw other people waiting ahead of him, and kept poking his head in the kitchen where it doesn’t belong—the food is well worth the wait, and staff was working their butts off! The kind gal running the front of house even threw in a mixed-fried vegetable side since they were busy, which was also delicious, and we ate on the way home.All in all, delicious, hearty, and filling—will definitely be back!

Food came out slow--it took 40 minutes to get our appetizer, and then another 5 minutes to get our main course. You had to flag someone down to get our waters refilled, and even then the server would pretend not to hear you. Food itself was ok--the Gobi Manchurian was good (fried cauliflower with some spicy sweet-sour sauce), but there are better Indian places with better service.EDIT: Bumped it up to a 3. Went and got the buffet for lunch. Items were a bit limited, but were tasty and were a great deal for 10 bucks. I tried out Everest cuisine for first time via pickup and it was one of the best Indian food Ive had. At the beginning I wasnt sure because we had gone to taal a few times and this had changed to a new owner. Its owned by a family and they seem to be extremely nice and welcoming. But we were craving Indian and decided to check it out. Were glad we did because not to many Indian restaurants around YL/Ful/Placentia area and those that are there are just ok. But this food at Everest was terrific. Now we have a great place to go to. Would highly encourage others to go try it out.
