The food was good and service was excellent. But the price is extremely high. Over twenty one dollars for a simple noodle dish was kind of outrageous. Better to just get In-N-out next door and get enough food for two people for even less of the cost than one dish at this restaurant.

I just ate the Szechuan chow mein. It was DELICIOUS! Really nice taste and large portion. Its expensive but was full of meat and it was very good. I would appreciate less plastic packaging.

The food is garbage my first time eating here the cashier is talking on the phone with one AirPod in her ear and taking ppls orders at the same time. Big menu is not a good thing they have a large menu…my first bite I could taste the poor quality LOW FREQUENCY IN THE FOOD…as soon as I swallowed the food my head started hurting. I let my 5 yrs old daughter taste she disliked it. I ask for a refund the cashier says no refunds but there’s no signs that say no refunds. So I said let me change it for veggie chow main. The cashier and the cook were mad I could tell because they started talking loud in there language. I didn’t feel comfortable eating the chow mane because of there poor energy when making my food so I just through it away. Taught me a valuable lesson that the energy matters whomever is dealing with your food.

Quick fresh hot meal great portion but the flavor was not there. I ordered the Sweet and Spicy Chicken us was neither sweet nor spicy. The chicken had color but absolutely no flavor. I tried to doctor it up otherwise it would have been a waste of money.

We were desperate for quick bite. I have to say we never would have eaten at a place like this with the name Express Chinese Food. Walking by and saw the chef cooking up a storm with high heat. Clean with an A inspection report on the door. Why not give it a try. The shrimp dishes were generous and authentic. Quality and taste equivalent to top shelf Chinese restaurant at half the price. What a surprise and would definitely make time next time before going to LAX (terminal food sucks).

Very disappointing experience at lunch time today. Woman in the photo was at the cash register to take orders standing next to another woman at the register. I was literally 2 feet in front of the 2 women and I gave them a bright and shiny hello and smile. I was surprised the 2 continued to talk with each other not even giving me a glance or acknowledgment. I literally felt I was being brushed away and that I was unwelcome there so I left. I couldnt have been better dressed as I had my nice work clothes on so there was nothing inappropriate on my part. But their behavior was just that, not appropriate, they wouldnt welcome or look at me or even take my order. I turned around and left and they did not ask why. They simply went onto the next unassuming diner to take her order. If you are cold as ice and dont mind being ignored or hated, maybe this place is for you. If you cant handle or accept rude service then like me, maybe you could go somewhere else, there is a whole row of restaurants on that block. I sure did leave and go somewhere else. Very unhappy customer here.

The food has zero flavor. The wonton soup tasted like vegetables and wontons in hot water. The chicken kung pao was smothered in water chestnuts and had very little chicken. Lo mein and fried rice also tasted bland. I had to add seasoning and soy sauce to all of it for it to taste good. By far my least favorite Chinese food I’ve ever had. Would not go back.

The food here is NASTY. We tried their orange chicken and pepper chicken and they were both stale. By the time we start eating them, we could tell by the look and smell they’re old and reheated. We threw the rest of the food and bought burger from in n out. Also, the lady that took our order was rude, that should’ve been a sign that we should not order from this place. If they have bad attitude towards their customers, it just make sense that they wouldn’t care about the way they prepare your food.

Thus used to be a really good place for Chinese food. 2 of our main dishes are deluxe showman and bbq park friend rice. Past few months rice has very little flavor and chicken is very dried. I would not mind paying for their recent price increases if the food was as good as before.

We ordered the orange chicken, orange shrimp, and tangerine? chicken for takeout. While the portions were generous, the food was inedible. Both the chicken and the shrimp were like jerky. My husband and son started eating before me and said they couldnt eat it because the chicken was too dry after taking one bite. I assumed they were exaggerating so was completely shocked when I took a bite of the shrimp. I really dont know how its possible to remove all the moisture from something like that, but I felt like they had either microwaved the shrimp before breading and deep frying it or they used dried shrimp. We had to cut our losses and throw out the entire meal right there in the parking lot trash cans. We went with In-N-Out instead. Maybe their other dishes are better, but we wont return to find out.

Yes...I agree with most of the other reviewers..the middle aged woman taking my order wasnt friendly at all, and when asking what the deluxe included the answer was confusing and she acted like she didnt know! (yeah right!! believe me, She knew EXACTLY what the deluxe included) it was more like she didnt want to bother answering. Yes..the order takers are not friendly or helpful at all. With as many complaints as Ive seen about the unfriendly and unhelpful service people, you would think they would have done something about it by now. What keeps me coming back is the food. It is very good, authentic and is cooked in woks fresh to order. The same chef..older man..Works very hard And knows what hes doing.,no steam tables.It takes very little effort to smile..have a friendly word. And to have a place with such good food, it would seem like they would take pride to tell you whats in the dish and a little about its preparation..again, this takes very little time & effort And goes a long way to help your business. There are many people who, even though the food is good,...will not come back when theyre ignored and not treated better.

Very much disappointed in the restaurant. I wasn’t a fan that the chow mein had to be on a separate order. it honestly just stated like it was boiled in chicken broth with no other flavoring. Orange chicken was “ehhh” but the white rice was the best part of the meal. Lady was nice but food is yucky.

I visited to this Chinese take out place twice now and it is beyond my expectations. The fresh cooked food is very flavorful with good portion and I must say it is pretty authentic not the usual American Chinese food joints. I have tried Szechuan Shrimps and green bean chicken on the menu. Two thumbs up.

Ordered here yesterday while hangry coming from the airport. Got the Kung pao chicken noodle, black pepper chicken, and Mongolian beef. Kung pao chicken noodle was excellent - good portion of noodles and a ton of chicken also. Highly worth. Black pepper chicken was battered/fried and the flavor was very on point - the tastiest of the 3. The Mongolian beef was the disappointment as there was so little overall, and also there was an incredibly small amount of beef swimming in onions (like 70-80% onions). This is why they’re losing a star, but definitely fast, hot/fresh (made to order), and reasonable in prices.

This is great Chinese food. All food is prepared fresh from a wok after you order, and despite that you get your food very quick. Ive never been disappointed. If youre just picking up one dish, be sure to bring cash; they wont accept credit card for orders under $10.

Excellent place for lunch or dinner. The price is reasonable and the food is cooked instantly. It is Chinese food with a homemade flavor, it is worth mentioning that the kitchen is a very experienced Chinese man. I highly recommend the soup and fried rice, and even the rolls have a lot of flavor. I leave photos. Advantage.

Well, personally I didnt like it...the prices were very expensive...the rice was beaten...the handle was rough...the appearance was terrible... However, I have been to other Express Chinese establishments and I I love the food and the prices are much lower and there is a lot of food...I dont recommend it...

Occasionally I have come and they do not measure the orders I ask for. The soups that I ask for are not given to me, even though I tell them that it doesnt matter what it costs, I pay for it. Still they dont give it.
