The rental of the unit was done over the phone, and was easy. The representative was well-informed, very helpful, cheerful. But I have not moved into the storage unit yet, so I cant comment on that.

Great experience! I did my rental online, and was met by Setha today. He was super friendly and showed me on the map how to get to my unit. The building was clean, with plenty of dollies available, and it was super easy to move my stuff into storage. A great experience overall!

I cannot call or visit your office in Santa Rosa. Is there another way I can reach you? I tried email, but no one answers. I just want to read the contract and find out if the rent will be raised again by September 1?I wanted to get a bigger storage unit, but now I am planning to just throw a lot out and cancel. I moved from one storage unit to yours in Jan 2023, but dont feel like moving again. I just guess storage companies are not profitable enough so the rent has to be raised every 4 months. It is nice how you offer 25% discount in the beginning when you decide to rent from you. I know now that that is only to attract clients, but not really to keep them. I will go look on social media sites right now also.

Great starting price that just kept increasing and was quickly over priced, and kept going up (they seem to have a business model based on the fact it is a pain to move . Customer service was rude and short the few times we interacted after renting the unit. Would not recommend.

Great, safe and secure place. Employees (Setha) are fantastic. Had me signed up, gave me a tour and found the best price and unit to fit my needs within 15 minutes. I would highly recommend this storage facility to anyone, the location is ideal as well. Access to the 101is only 1 stop light away. The unit I got, 10x10 is clean, water tight and super close to the entrance gate, hours for access are legit as well. Great place, great prices and great people, even had insurance included in the pricing to protect my stuff! First time dealing with a storage company, I’ve heard so many negatives, glad my experience was not so. Again, highly recommended extra space storage on Hearn ave. And someone should be giving Setha a raise, excellent, excellent customer service!

These people were horrible. They treated me like I was their kid. They told me that I couldn’t bring anybody to help me move furniture. They lied about somebody being there and drinking to save their own butts. I would not recommend this place to anyone not unless you want to be part of a nightmare.

I had the worst experience in my life in this facility. The Manager was rude and belittle me just because I respond back to her statement about my dogs being in the facility, which I didn’t see any signs about the policy in having animals in the facility. If you disrespect me and come at me aggressively then I will respond in the same form. The second Manager Bridget instead of de-escalating the situation she takes it personally by blacklist me in the other Extra space storage in Róseland; because I hang up on her which at the moment I didn’t know it was her, I was trying to call the other storage in Roseland and accidentally dial the same storage in Hearn. The Extra space storage Manager in Roseland refused service because Bridget blacklist me. At that moment I felt bully by the Managers of Extra Space Storage in Hearn and Roseland. No body should be disrespected, belittled or bully by anybody especially being in a Management position. Extra Space Storage do better by your customers.

Well I had a just great experience with Extra Space Storage today. I have had my things there for three years and never really needed anything so I didn’t really have much to say one way or the other about the service Until today. I had lost the keys to my storage unit so the two managers at the Extra Space Storage on Hearn Ave in Santa Rosa told me to come down and they would saw off my lock .They didn’t charge me to do it they were very nice and actually showed me some rocks that have numbers instead of keys which is great for me. All that to say I was not looking forward to calling a locksmith and trying to find a time to go down there and get into my storage unit but they helped me and I was in and out of there within 30 minutes.

Great customer service!! Staff is very helpful answering any questions you might have as well as trying to find the best rate or discount for their customers. Location is right off 101 so that was also a plus. The units and grounds are kept clean. Never had an issue with pests either.Thankful that staff walks the grounds to check unit locks. I had an incident where I forgot to properly lock my unit and was contacted immediately.) However; I had forgot to update my info..) staff checked the cameras.. and replaced my lock at no cost. When I returned the next time to my storage unit they had notified me of what had happened. Very Important: always update your info!! Luckily nothing was stolen.Ive rented a couple units from Extra Space and would again in the future if needed.

I’ve rented storage at this location for the past six months. From the beginning to end the customer service has been top notch ( above and beyond ). Every question or concern I had was answered.I wish I could give more than 5 stars.Access to the storage was easy facilities were always clean and well lite. Gated entrance with CCTV. EDIT 7/30/31 This review is no longer accurate due to the price increasing twice in one year by 30% / $500 more:SECOND EDIT 5/30/22: Prices have doubled since we signed up. $260/ month now from the initial $140.Jessica and her team made our cross country move very very easy!We had the difficulty of using storage pods to move our house units from Chicago to SF, and the company we used gave us a five day range of when the pods were going to show up. I was stressing that they would get rejected at the place, but I told Jessica about it and she was able to get them placed right by our container. We got there later that day and got the pods unloaded without a synch!Very glad that we went with this storage place. Definitely recommend them!EDIT 7/30/2021: Theyve increased monthly payments twice on us!Initially, $140 then bumped to $160 now $180. A 30% cost increase in one year! Me and the wife are trying to get out of this ASAP.Forking an extra $500 that we didnt expect is completely unacceptable.

I have used this ExtraSpaceStorage several times over the years, due to various moves. For several years I kept large original painting in the climate controlled section, and more recently some belongings in another section. I have never had a problem. The place is clean, very well maintained and well managed. Both the manager, Sita, and asst. manager, Jessica are professional, always helpful, and friendly. I’ve recommended others to store things there as well. All have had good experiences. Thank for such great service.

They filled me figure out the dimensions I would need as well as letting me borrow a lock bc I had forgotten mine. The employees are the nicest and most helpful people 🙏 the place is immaculate and conveniently located and it’s a great deal so you really can’t go wrong. Moving is stressful but picking a storage unit doesn’t have to be! I highly recommend!

My mom and I got a 5x10 climate controlled unit to hold her very important sewing machines and some clothes and what not. Everything was done completely online and very fast. Thank you. Anything I might not have had (and didn’t ) they were able to offer me, like the insurance, padlock, boxes and such. We were pleasantly surprised just how tall the units are and if you put all your stuff in totes you can stack to the moon. Thank you Extra Space Storage.

The storage space is good. The one on Hearn Ave. has climate-controlled storage. But Im rating them so low because they update their prices 10% OR MORE every 9 months. Im a long-time customer, and they used to roll back their increases to just 1-3% when I asked, but for about the last 5 years, they wont. Its gotten really expensive! But the company just doesnt care.

Updates: The first month free banner is still up and I have left the facility. My price increased once.Overall a pretty pleasant experience. I was assisted by Mark who showed me the unit. Up front he disclosed there would be mandatory insurance added on top of the unit fee, and the website disclosed the one time admin fee, so there were no hidden fees by the time I signed the contract/lease. He even warned me ahead of time that the rent would most likely increase in approximately 5 months.I do have a couple of concerns that lie with the company and its owner. When you drive up, there is a large banner stating first month free, and upon mentioning it to the employees I am told that this promo is no longer active and they are not allowed to take the banner down. Blatant fishing and false advertisement. Next, I dont know how the units are measured, but Im renting a 5x5 and when I think that, I think 5 wide x 5 deep. Im 53 and if I were to lie down in the unit I would stick out about halfway. Its more like 2.5 x 2.5.The prices are a bit high because they take full advantage of the high demand for storage. Based on that I will probably leave the facility before the price goes up.

They price gouge big time. I started at $240 and was up to $400 within three years. I came in to have some guys pickup a donation I was giving. I went into the front office and the wiseguy said he bet he could get $500 for the unit. The only good part was none of my stuff got stolen.

The location is a bit of a rough neighborhood with souped up exhaust system vehicles racing up and down the streets and albeit, it’s storage - there could be automated entry doors and dollies on site. Wonderful promotional price, we got 2 months free. I was told by 800-number people that it was one 10x20 unit but upon arrival was told it was two 10x10 units, which was fine, but I would have liked to be told beforehand. Units were pretty clean, but the edges had a lot of dirt and spiderwebs, we found a spider or two and some little beetles in our boxes after storage. They definitely need to clean a little better and spray for bugs. Our access code did not work when we came to move it and we could not get in the gate, the office was closed and no one was there to help. Finally another customer let us use their code, and ours didnt get fixed for a few days. The ladies at the counter were nice but didnt seem to know what they were doing and it took them a while to figure out our promotion, reservation, etc. I would recommend but mainly because of the price and location convenience. (note: you do have to buy your own lock).

The staff is helpful, don’t get sucked in to the low price to open a storage. I started a indoor 10x10 storage thinking $149.00 was a bargain. Over a couple of years it jumped to $212.00. I only have household items stored from a recent move. When I went to pick up a couple of items, there was tons of rat droppings & urine on my items. Boxes chewed through and nest in shelves. When I reported it to the office, there response was, I can give you a couple of boxes and vacuum the droppings. Shop around and don’t get caught up in their move in price.
