This 2023 Los Angeles County Fair has some changes in store for folks returning after a few years. Its +5 stars for the change to Spring from Fall; we did not miss the September heat. But –1 star for what feels like double prices for everything from admission to food, drink and activities. Have pity for a young family of four.Otherwise, its a bit smaller as far as exhibitors and concessions, but thats maybe not a bad thing. Be ready for the 100% All Card, No Cash policy, starting with parking.Hint: Its easy to overlook the Marketplace, but it can be a really nice, quiet break with basic food, drinks, shaded indoor and patio seating thats usually not too crowded.

The LA fair is a great venue for the entire family. The midway has the usual rides, the children and the kid at heart adore. There are animal petting opportunities, agriculture exhibits, culinary shows, live music, and more crafts than you can possibly purchase. The California forestry department, along with the national level guys and girls, has a wonderful educational exhibit for all ages. To include log cutting with a two person saw (under supervision). The live king snake that people actually held and played with was, Lets say unerving. The food, well, its fair food. Get it? You will eat things that you thought werent possible. Like popcorn on a soft serve ice cream. But, I caution you; ensure your loan has been approved first. There is parking cost, admission cost, rides, and food. Did I mention $8.00 for water. Look online first for discounts. All in all, it was a great time for everyone.

Went there today 5/11/23 I had a blast, I bought the unlimited rides wristband and got on every ride, about twice totally worth the investment. Food vendors were also very tasty and fresh, Im well aware that its a fair so they sell fair food which is on the high carbs and greasy side, so it would have been nice to see more healthier options.

It has become a tradition to visit the L.A. county fair. Admission tickets are cheaper if you buy them online. We got the wristband for the rides, and it was worth it 👌. Some Food was overpriced. I took some snacks and water bottles inside with no problem. Parking was $17Wristband $50Michelagua $15Burrito @ king taco 🌮 $15✔️Tacos 🌮 $3BBQ ribs $22Dole whip soft serve $13Dippin dots $13Beer 🍺 $14Hunt show $5 @ building 9You dont have to spend a lot . There is always free entertainment like visiting the farm 🚜, pig race, cow milking etc.

The LA County Fair is great!!! Fun rides, games, activities, shows & petting zoo. Great deal on entry fee, donate 5 can goods per 1 person for free entry. A win-win for everyone, people who are hungry & people to get into the fair for free before they spend hundreds of dollar within a matter of minutes hahaha. Great time! Great atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!!!

Me and my ex boyfriend went to celebrate our one year anniversary at the fair and it was really fun. It was his first time going with me and my family. My family and I been going for years and it’s been really fun me and him hung out at the arcade. and played arcade games and went on rides and it was the best anniversary that we could ever have. It was a perfect way for us to celebrate together. If you love the LA County fair, you should definitely go and take your kids. It’s perfect place for your kids to enjoy.

The fair is a great and fun thing to do once a year. The food is always good with the many varities to choose from. Plenty of rides and games to try. But prices are higher then previous year so prepare to spend the money. Just be patient when it comes to parking, remember there are thousands of people coming and going. If you have a chance to go just go and have fun.

The Fairplex in Pomon was awesome, my family and I had lots of fun. The food was pricey but overall everything was great. One thing to remember when going to the Fair always take your own cooler filled with lots of water and extra snacks this will help on costly meals.😁

Enjoyable time at the Fair! The process to enter was super fast. Buy parking ahead of time!! The security check is really fast too. They only bag check if the scanner goes off. Petting zoo was filled with sheep. The milk here was the freshest yet! There was a scare zone in one complex for a Halloween Convention portion which was fun. I enjoyed the pig and duck races the most!

100th anniversary of the LA county fair. Lot of places to get food and some games. Few vendors inside the pavilions. For the most part it felt like theres not much to do there and pretty boring unless you feel like spending hundreds on food I guess because that was the main thing there. They did have a petting zoo though and barn animals like all other normal fairs but pretty small. I did only come for the animals lol but didnt have time.Everything is way way overpriced Im not really sure where people get that kind of money to spend. Like theres a stand here with a huge parrot but idk if it was worth the price.I did get a free weekday entry ticket if I want to come back and won all day paintball park pass.

Came here for the 100th running of the LA County Fair after a two year hiatus. The fair is in May now which means slightly cooler weather. Parking and Admissions are now cashless however vendors still accept it. Chicken Charlies Bacon Wrapped Chicken Legs $18.95 were fantastic and so was MacPherson Ice Creams Large Root Beer Float $8.50 and Dutchmans Funnel cakes The Works $15.00 were fantastic. On the down side they ran out of tickets for the canned food drive line and had to wait 20-30 minutes before I was able to enter. Also there were fewer animals on display since I was last there. The northernmost barn was completely empty and educational displays took up almost half the occupied livestock area. Maybe there will more livestock later in the fair but they still had their petting zoo which is nice. Overall I had a nice time and will definitely return in the future.

I’ve been going to the LA County fair since I was a little kid! Over 20 years now. I’ve always had a blast every time!This year was a bit different due to COVID. They took the past two years off because of the pandemic and you can definitely feel the difference now that they’re back. The amount of vendors is significantly smaller than the past years. It’s a bit sad to see how many of the expo buildings were empty but I understand with the different restrictions maybe some didn’t want to come back.I also noticed some of the food vendors were missing this year. Biggy’s was a popular one I’ve seen in past years and yet they were nowhere to be found at the fair. The art exhibits were also missing.Some of my favorites were present though! Ten pound bun being at the top! Every year they are the first vendor I go to after entering the fair. Another one is the strawberry stand (forgot the name of it) that sells bowls of chocolate covered strawberries. Delicious!This year is a bit different but I still had a blast! Another thing is since they moved the fair to being held in May instead of September it’s much cooler as far as the weather goes. I was actually freezing when night fell since it was windy! Make sure to bring a jacket if you plan on attending at night.Overall I’d def say to check it out. For a $20 entry fee It’s worth it for all the good food and some light shopping! Be sure to visit the fair animals too!

We attended the Pinners Expo. There were an ample amount of vendors to check out as well as make and take stations. Areas were set-up for classrooms. Nice to see some new craft ideas. I didnt really see the Pinners theme. The walking aisles were a little narrow and sometimes were crowded around areas. No social distancing and 2% of people wearing masks. No hassle parking and there was a tram.

Fun. I recommend getting your tickets at superior groceries. You can also get a pass for 12 rides and 2 games for half the price. Look on the website for other deals. There are many food options and music everywhere. The staff is super nice and helpful also.

There is a Horror Building here number 9, Go! Also, free concert tickets by the lagoon at 2:30pm everyday. And bring a giant jug of water! I saw ppl walking around with half gallon bottles! A bottle of water is 5 dollars here. Every food costs $15.00! A slice and drink, indian taco, a boba tea, a dole watermelon taco, cotton candy and a candy apple.... etc everything is 15. Lastly, use the shuttles in the parking lots, they are free!

It was very delightful to be here at this event. This place was big and easy to find just follow the signs and it will lead you there. There were a lot of people to come out ( minus the chills) with the family to see the awesome displaces of lights. There were so many different of a creative way of lights, from animals to plants, trees and so on. There were also cultural dances and music for you to enjoy. They also sell foods there if you are hungry. The parking is $12 but there plenty of parking spaces. This is a good way to bring the kids and have walks with your family. I would be back to see it again.

Visited for the Elf on a Shelf event. Decently priced with a discount code (tickets) little kids will enjoy it. Eat before you go or plan to eat after. The food there is very pricey. Takes about an hour for the entire thing. Then theres areas for pictures, souvenirs and even a bar with drinks for the adults if so inclined. Cute, fun and something to do with the kids for the holidays.

Its was amazing as always. I came home with a belly ache 😩. I ate wayyyyy to much. Drank wayyyy to much. I went to the mini fair last year. Nothing compares to the big shabang. I will say idk why people stand in that LONG line for that nasty popcorn. Anywho I tried the kool-aid chicken sandwich it was pretty good not Great but good. Id definitely get it again. I had the cotton candy ice cream delicious and super sweet. The pork belly tacos was good after I added a pinch of salt. The red sauce was a 10 spice level to me and the green sauce was a 7. They need a medium sauce for us baby heat lovers. The pre-mixed margaritas werent all that bad $19 is a bit pricey but the entire fair is pricey. We did locate some $16 not pre-mixed margaritas but Im not evee going to walk around price checking 😉 but if thats your thing them walk around. Ohhh I saw so many silver couples there. One couple said they just come to sit at the bar every weekend when its open. Another couple said the fair is where they met so they will continue coming until the end 😪🥰 so sweet. I got home at 8pm and was sleep my 9pm. Id say I had a great time.

What up! This review is mostly for the newcomers like Orange County, since y’all don’t get a fair this year, WELCOME! Fellow Pomonians, you already know! When you travel NORTH on White Ave. from the I10, on the right hand side, there is visitors drop-off/pick-up at GATE 7 about two blocks before GATE 9, which is where we parked.There is PLENTY of parking as one would expect. General is $20, VIP is $35. There is no discount for handicap visitors. You can pay with credit card or cash. General admission is $18. If you’d like to contribute to a great cause, they have canned food drives for a free entry on certain days. Also Superior Grocers, save you 47% if you purchase tickets through them. The food is as what you already know, turkey legs, funnel cakes, fries, with and without chili. Ribs, baked potatoes, twinkies, onion blooms. The one thing that stood out was the prices! Bro! They are steep!! It’s understandable. They do have a value menu at almost every stand. We had fun, we hope to come back before the 30th. I hope I helped you out Orange County. Have fun! The LA county fair was a lot of fun. My kids enjoyed the food and rides. It was very clean and there were restrooms everywhere. We went the last day and even though it was super busy, parking was relatively close and accessible. Over all very happy with todays experience. I recommend you try it at least once. But the tickets online and bring wet wipes to clean your hands after eating all yummy food.

King taco 3 burritos + nachos $40 parking $15 or $25 for VIP - $12 for adult entry $8 for kids ages 6-12 - wristband for unlimited rides $50 - 100 tickets for $50 each game cost around 12-16 tickets each so it goes fast. Attended the Bite Sized Fair a sample size of the full size fair. They had several food vendors, vendor booths and a small size carnival section. It was a ton of fun. Most of the food booths had $3 bite sized menu items... mini funnel cake, mini Dole whips and a whole lot more. I hope they do this event every year because its a great way to get your fair fix midway through the year.

Its a large property but they have a tram running to bring you in from the outer reaches of the vast parking lot. Buildings are cooled so you neednt melt in the summer heat. There is close access from the 10 freeway and the road pours traffic directly into the parking lot entrance so its tough to get lost, I imagine. The expo I attended was held in building 4 where there is plenty of room for hundreds of people to mill about. Restrooms are at extreme ends of the building. This place must be hopping when the county fair is in session.

Rides were great, although the water canoe one wasn’t working when we attempted later in day a second time. Food and drinks were delicious, the nachos Al pastor amazing. This was our first time visiting Pomona California. We happened to be out for a business convention at the same time that the L.A. County Fair was going on. as luck would have it, after the convention we had time to walk through the fairgrounds and enjoy visiting vendor booths as well as taking in all the sights and smells of a fair. What amazed me more than anything was the fact that the fairgrounds were exceptionally clean and well organized despite being surrounded by thousands of people, sometimes having a hard time even moving. A great experience overall and would recommend it for anyone who has an opportunity to visit the grounds. Tip: Try the Texas doughnuts. 👍

This place was so fun! Im not a rides person but I enjoyed the rides I did get on. Heres the Cons and Pros.CONS: This place is super expensive sadly. You have to pay for parking and the ticket to get in. Unfortunately,with that all you can do is walk around. You then also have to pay for tickets for each ride. A little bit of a rip off if you ask me.PROS: HOWEVER, if you have money to burn this place is a blast! Theres junk food, rides, and games! Perfect place for a date or fun time with friends. The lights of the rides are breath taking and nostalgic. Good vibes. Many spin drop rides. The Joker 360 was my favorite!

This was my first time going to any kind of reptile expo and I was pretty impressed. Ill definitely be attending in the future there is a lot to see so please go as early as possible to ge in line because when the doors open the line just grows very fast so I would reccomend getting there at least 45 minutes early. There is a free tram to take you from parking to the drop off point then you have to walk about 50 yards to the entrance. Just a FYI you do not have to take the tram but if you plan on staying all day I really reccomend taking it makes for a more enjoyable day. Hope to see you all there one day. LA County Fair is back at a new time of year. When it was held in Sept the heat could be brutal. Now that its held in May its cooler. Same unhealthy food choices we all love, rides and farm animals. It can be very crowded, especially towards the evening. Best bet is to go early and be there when it opens. This is not an inexpensive event. While the admission price is reasonable, food, drinks and rides are expensive. Check their website for discounts

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, we had a medical emergency there and the medical staff responded quickly. I highly recommend going to that fun fairplex. Lots to look at delicious food. If you cant buy your tickets and parking online prior to going, it saves you money. Food can be up there in price but delicious.

Thanks to Yelp, I scored 2 free tickets to Anime Impulse (and also Asian American Expo and Blushcon)! The cost of parking was not covered and traffic near the Fairplex was really bad, but these things did not ruin the experience.The con was mainly split between 2 buildings with an outdoor area that included eye candy on wheels. If you asked me what were my favorite parts were, Id have to say seeing all the uniquely styled cars on display and the free gaming in a building that included consoles and various arcade games! The rest of the con included many vendors, a showcase for artists, panels, signings, and many cosplayers.I have to say that this con was the perfect size and scope for a casual anime enthusiast such as myself. The well-known Anime Expo can be super crowded, costly, and a bit intimidating at that. With free admission included to the Asian American Expo next door, this Asian American most definitely had a great time this past Sunday.

Hadnt been to the Fair in probably 10 years. Wasnt sure I even wanted to go again, it was so expensive 10 years ago. We got discount tickets - for Pomona residents was $1 per ticket and on a Thursday, wasnt too crowded at all. Food and drinks are still expensive but in relation to a restaurant post-pandemic, drinks at the Fair (adult drinks) were only about $3 more than we pay at a local restaurant and prices not much more than they were 10 years ago. Ended up having a great time. Was fun taking my 5 year old grandson, he had a blast.

Absolute worst place to work.You arrive at 8 but they don’t check you in until 9:30.You arrive at 9:30 but they tell you all positions are filled and you should just wait until you are needed.No benefits for outside hired employees.No discounts at fair for employees.Beer is $15.Funnel cake $9.Margarita $17.Rides seem unsafe considering they are being balanced on small planks.No security at entrance. I used to work for the EVS department and Rose M. Blanco was absolutely despicable towards those who did not speak English well. She accused me of showing up late to work and on top of that eating. She’d go over your head not directly to you if there was any issue and it only made matters worse. She managed to fail up and get a different position since being the head of the EVS department which only speaks volumes to the type of leadership Fairplex employs. I will never forget working here and this review has been long overdue. DONT BE RUDE TO HARD WORKERS. Very high school mindset. She made it a hostile and fearful work place. Also, the planners there were incredibly RUDE! Demanding things over the walkie talkies. They seemed to think that you are beneath them since you work EVS. It was truly a humiliating feeling. I wouldn’t recommend but unfortunately many Spanish speakers take these jobs and have to endure the nasty attitudes by higher ups. Unfortunately the Fairs leaders are also of Latino/hispanic decent which just go to show the indifference. It’s all about making money. Nevermind the dignity. Years later I still feel the effects of working at this place. I haven’t been to a fair since.

So much to do and see, but a bit pricey. Parking was not too bad, and if you park far there is a little tram that goes around the parking lot and drops you off Infront of the fair. Restrooms are everywhere but lines are long. Bathroom were surprisingly clean and stock of toiletries. They also have portable restrooms, but those as you can imagine, smell. They have games and rides for every age. You can also skip that and just walk around the an indoor garden and flower display. Or if classic cars are more your thing, you can walk around and see the display of lowrider cars, bikes and art merchandise display. Farmhouse is also an option walk around and see the petting zoo or watch the pig race. Once the sun sets and the lights turn on the fair site is just a bit more fun to see, like the ferris wheel and other games light up making it all more magical .

Fairplex is AWESOME. So much to see and do. Along with the midway, and all the great rides, they had a lowrider event, the Motorsports museum is there. There are trains you can climb on, a Halloween exhibit, an arcade, one of the best miniature train set up, with working trains, the FOOD, bands played all day, and I got to see ZZ TOP, at their concert series.

Pomona car show is a great place to bring your classic to showcase or sell your vehicle, it cost roughly 30 dollars to bring your car 1995 and below, if you come in thru general admission it cost 17 dollars to park and 15 dollars to enter show starts at 5am to 2pm roughly every 40 days or so.

The Fair over view. Its much smaller. There are no free acts, like the circus that we could see. All exotic animals are missing. The Fair food is mostly the same except for the Greek places where I used to eat. They are gone. The flower place is nice but not as elaborate before. Rides are all pretty much the same. We didnt go into the animals as everyone has a cold! 🤬 We did go to the garden, but there isnt as much growing due to the time of year. They still let everything over grow. We didnt go to the bees but will do that next time. We only went into 2 pavilions. One was half empty. If you want to buy a hot tub, mattress or pillow you are in luck! 😂 🤣 😂

Last time I went was High school, and boy I didnt realize it was much bigger then I remembered it! It was fun petting the sheeps and goats, wished their were more animals to pet but they were cute as well, feeding them is $3 card only. And of course food will be pretty pricey so keep that in mind, we got 3 meat bbq with fries and that alone was $30 but it did fill us up, fries were big. Sides are extra as well. But theirs more food to pick from.Kids under 5 are free, from what I noticed.If you do go I would by my tickets a day before as well as parking, parking is $15 when you buy it a day before instead of $20 and tickets are $20 online while in person $25.I would have gotten the tickets cheaper but they didnt have the CODE input when you purchase the tickets so that kinda sucked, I looked everywhere and tried different methods but nothing.Other then that it was fun. I want to bring my baby back here when hes a little bit older.Also girls be careful cause if you have sandals your feet will get dirty at the end of the night cause of the farm and dirt ground while walking around their.

Went to the fairplex for the LA County Fair this year. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!Pricy, not a lot of vendors in the few exhibit buildings that where open, not a big selection of vendors.Almost no farm animals on display. Theyve cut out a lot of standard exhibits that have been there for 20 yrs (i.e. flower pavilion).Only open 4 days a week. Must be hard on the vendors plus fair goers.Its really not a county fair its turned into a carnival. Plus for what the fair group has charged over the years youd think the whole pavement in the fair grounds would be repaved as it is so cracked and pot holes galore. Hard to walk on or use scooters or wheel chairs (beats the heck out of them).This fair used to be something to be proud of now blah...going to the Orange County fair they seem to appreciate the vendors and paying public. Plus put together heads and shoulders above the LA County fair.

The Los Angeles County Fair is happening NOW instead of September this year. That should help alleviate the late summer 100 degree plus temperature days usually found then. We went to the fair today and found that there was hardly anyone in attendance while we were there. We did go early, about 12:30 pm. but noticed there was a constant stream of people entering while were exiting around 6:00 pm. I guess we were just early birds. Went to visit RAIL GIANTS for free admissible weekend. Climbed up on real full size steam and diesel trains. Cool lady working inside of a REAL Arcadia Train Depot theres dissatisfied gifts AND AIR CONDITION!!! :) The men were so nice they let us climb up into the train sit on the seat we got to pull the train horn and whistles and ring the bell it was pretty cool you could hear it all the way across the fairplex. We got a tour of an old fashioned dining car beautiful red velvet inside and learned a lot about the trains its so cool its free you can bring your own food and water and have a little picnic under the tree. Just go to gate number one on the 2nd Saturday and Sunday tell him Im here for the trains they also have a smaller train you can observe but you cant touch these big trains are something else for big kids and little kids!!!

It was great to have the fair return even though it was earlier in the year. Great food and quite a bit of variety. Not as many vendors as before but still a variety of items for sale.
