We went in craving Chinese food and got lukewarm, fridge-flavored, refried greasy food. We really wanted to root for this place, but it’s seriously the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. Hoping that they can improve if they add more flavor to the fried rice and start making things more fresh. For the prices, we expected a lot more quality than what we got.

Today we ordered the 3 dish chicken.. sesame chicken, sweet and sour and sezchuan chicken and it all tastes the same and was burnt through and when we bit a piece apart there was NO chicken. Plus we waited over 35 minutes for the food to go. We are pretty disappointed and want a refund. We returned the next day and spoke to the owner, who apologized. He gave us a complimentary replacement meal. It was much better the 2nd time.

I love this place. Great food and excellent service. My foodie friends from the big city also love this restaurant. Far East only has take out service right now, but order ahead and it’s fast and easy. Perfect after a long hike in the redwoods

Wow! Amazing food! I lived in China for three years and am have high standards for Chinese food, but I was impressed. We stopped here three years ago on a road trip and went out of our way to stop again on our latest coastal trip because we have been dreaming about their Kung Pao chicken for three years! Generous portions - one dish can feed two adults if youre not starving.

In the last year, the quality of food has become disturbing. We used to love the food here, but the last few times the orders were wrong or just yucky. My family has decided not to go back for at least a few months before giving them one last try. The shrimp was either nasty or undercooked. The chow mein was burnt on many occasions. The only food we found edible was the egg rolls.

We were in town on vacation, and decided to give this place a try. It is apparently the only Chinese restaurant in Crescent City. We order Chinese regularly back home, and we ordered the same dishes we usually get. I asked if they could use a white sauce instead of the brown sauce for one of the dishes and they were able to substitute. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the servings were very generous. Four dishes was enough food to feed the three of us for lunch and dinner, and then lunch again the next day. I wish this restaurant existed at home.

What a great find! We wanted to find some take-out to eat on the beach, this was perfect. The owners are clearly trying to start a successful business and make a living in the US. Extremely nice and caring people. We called ahead, pulled up to the door and they brought everything to our car. The food was very good, Id put it up there with some of the best Chinese Ive had. We had Broccoli Beef, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken - all top notch. It didnt affect us but this place is take-out only. I highly recommend Far East! Oh and the portions were huge, unbelievably huge. Two people could easily split and entree and have some leftover.

Ive eaten here a few times, whenever I am visiting Crescent City. Right now they are still observing covid precautions, so you can only get it via drive up / carryout. You dont even have to go inside. Just view the menu, call them and order, and someone comes out and gets your money. They bring the order out as soon as it is ready. Oddly, the guy who waited on me was not wearing a mask. I dont really see the point of having pick up only and servers not wearing a mask...On this visit I ordered shrimp broccoli from the specials menu. Specials are just a little smaller and cheaper, and he said on the phone it had less shrimp. My meal, however, had plenty of shrimp and tasted fine. The brown sauce is very good.I took off a point because the menu is not very vegetarian friendly. They offer tofu but it cost $2 extra. I wish more Asian restaurants would start offering tofu as an alternative protein in their dishes, like many vegetarian places do. It would also be nice to have more gluten-free options. They only have one dish with rice noodles instead of wheat.I did want to add, however, that the owner is very nice and the service here is very good. Its apparent they care about their customers and making them happy, and that is always a very nice thing in this day and age.If you are in the Crescent City area, this is really the best and only Asian place to eat. The other places Ive tried were not as good.
