Very quaint place. Service was good. Seems to be rather popular. The wild boar was very tasty, although just a bit tough. Highly recommend the avocado crab starter & the harvest salad, delicious.

The traditional eggs benedict is delicious, the ham is thick-cut and the English muffin is easy to cut with flavorful sauce.But I would definitely recommend French toast if first visit, the texture of the thick-cut croissant loaf is just surprisingly soft and delicious!

Great hospitality. The service time is awesome. They have awesome hosts. They have limited brunch menu. The must try are French toast. The water glass have egg smell (not good here). The interior is well decorated. The parking can be a problem at times. They have fixed service fee of 15%.

Excellent ambience with good service. The food was delicious. We tried the French toast, aesthetically presented and used a croissant bread instead of the white bread generally used in diners, served with fruit and matcha cream. It was quite filling. They don’t allow substitutions in their menu which narrows down choices for vegetarian and vegan folks.

Great place for Italian food in Redwood city. Food are fresh and tasty. Vibe is great as it is surrounded by nice, safe and quiet neighborhood. People are friendly and warm welcomed. I tried the Duck Pappardelle. I love the pasta, very fresh. The size is similar to the Chinese thick noddle. Sauce is tasty and the duck meat is well cooked and soft. Bravo! Outside sitting is great. It is dog friendly restaurant. You can easily find street parking.

Came here for Sunday brunch and the line was long right when they opened at 11am. Definitely recommend making a reservation early in the week if you want a table inside. We ended up getting the last table inside next to the door. It was ok, better than sitting outside where its much colder these days.Inside is really cute, and you get a great view of the Belmont hills and the cute neighborhood if youre looking outside.Service was nice and friendly, but you can only get the menu by scanning on your phone. Which is ok in most cases, but we took longer to order since only one person at the table had a phone.We started with drinks and ordered coffee, cocktails and orange juice. I was expecting the OJ to be freshly squeezed but it wasnt. Still tasted good though. Cocktails were great! I got a nice large latte cup.The best 2 dishes out of the 4 were ordered were the colossal omelette and house breakfast. Colossal omelette had braised beef brisket, very different from any omelette we ever had and tasty.Would definitely come back and try other dishes on the menu.

Wow! Great bistro style place. The wild boar with black pepper gnocchi in a vodka sauce and dried apricot chutney was outstanding! My wife had the gumbo with a proper brown roux. You should definitely check it out.If you were a fan of the Striped Pig in Redwood City you will like the this place.

Very original and well balanced flavors set in a beautiful home like restaurant. We really liked the wild mushroom toast in truffle oil. The brussel sprouts were great as well- with parmesan on top. Fewer vegetarian options- I got the butternut squash risotto which had nice earthy flavours. We had mentioned early on, in conversation to the staff that were there to celebrate a birthday and they put a candle on our absolutely amazing apricot cranberry bread pudding and sang the birthday song! Such lovely service 💝

Growing clientele and popularity makes this reservations required although an exception may be made. Ask for outdoor seating which is calmer and quieter. The inside acoustics is very loud with the clanging of the kitchen and people chatting. There is a concentration on local sourcing. French fries seemed to have been under the heat lamp as they were extremely crunchy and dry and over salted. At this price, individual orders of fries deserve to be fresh out of the grease vat! Delicious drinks, juicy burgers and emphasis on dessert (banana bread!). The brioche bun is homemade but easily crumbled as it did not hold up so well with the huge beef patty. Friendly service, down to earth ambiance.

Great space for Sunday brunch, friendly staff and reasonable prices for the area. The porkinator and potatoes were awesome and so was the Verve coffee. The French omelette was rather blunt, probably because of too much crème fraîche, and the smoked salmon reminded of anchovies. Overall, recommended and ok for a cute brunch date.

I have never thought I would find a place like Farm House in the neighborhood. Proper homemade food. We had dinner here in a week day and it was amazing! The space is brilliant, the staff is great and helpful, food is something else, it took me a while to decide what I wanted but totally worth it, I would very unlikely order chicken in a restaurant, but the chicken here totally stole my heart. Starters and desserts were both amazing also, but I want to come back to try so many other options. Brunch is also on my list here! Coming back soon!

Bread here is not a good match with the meat. Pork Belly is very salty. Side salad is good. Service is slow. 2nd glass of ice tea had weird taste. They automatically charged you 20% service charge even for two people during lunch time. For the service and qualify of the food, this will be my last choice.

This place is truly a gem! Katie runs the kitchen and Alan curates an ever - evolving balanced, diverse wine selection. Arugula and peaches salad was complemented by a light dressing that enhanced the flavor of the fresh peaches. Duck Pappardelle came with homemade wide flat noodles and flavorful moist duck in a gentle sauce with delicious sautéed mushrooms. Snap pea risotto was yummy. Dessert was an unusual bread pudding with caramelized peaches, and a delicate Pull-A-Part croissant pastry that was exquisite! Service was attentive and the recommendations were spot on! We enjoyed a real treat as the owner Alan let us try a delicious Beerenauslese German dessert wine and a subtle Samos Anthemis Greek wine that he was offering at outstanding prices by the bottle. As always we all learned winemaking, and the offerings from regions we have yet to explore. The ambience on the patio outside this lovely little home makes for a perfect evening!

One of my favorite places in the bay area. I come here everytime Im in SF for business.The staff is incredibly friendly, and the service is fast and efficient.The food is always fantastic. One of the best American gastro experiences you can have in southern peninsula. They have a seasonal menu and there is always something adventurous for you to tryIf I remember correctly, this is the first place I had rabbit and I also just had wild boar here. Amazing place. Katie the owner was very friendly as was the staff. Loved everything we ordered, we had the roasted cauliflower with three sauces, all house made, the East Faro, the burrito green rice bowl, and the beans and chicken. It was my birthday so they also gave me some champagne and root beer float on the house. All the ingredients are premium and you can really taste it. Really clear that they put a lot of love into the dishes and the decor. Well be back!

Weve eaten here several times, however tonight was the first in a couple years (basically since the pandemic started). It appears that maybe the restaurant is under new ownership.The food was good as usual, however there were issues. For example, my wife ordered the gumbo, which was flavorful, however it was missing items listed on the menu (no chicken, shrimp was used in the broth rather than being included as a protein, etc.) The staff offered a discount because of that, however they should adjust the menu if the ingredients/etc have changed (IMHO).The part that didnt sit right with me however is the mandatory tip. We live in an affluent area, and we tip very well. It was just my wife and I, and we were given a mandatory 15% tip. Call me old fashioned, but tips are not required, but are a reflection of good service. We would have tipped more than 15%, however the thought that its required regardless rubs me the wrong way, so thats all they got. Just be aware.Again, food was good (not great), service was good, and atmosphere is cozy.

Went for a brunch on Sunday. The place is super cute and the ambience is really nice. The service is also nice however the food was not tasty. We ordered the hamburger and the salmon Benedict. The burger was basically bread and meet, too dry and we were not able to taste the onion, cheese and the other things since it was almost none on the burger. The Benedicts were normal, not super tasty but no bad.In addition they charge you a 15% service on top of the tip.

I just didnt like the part where they still encourage tips. Either charge whatever you need to charge to pay your employees a fair wage or go back to tips. This wonderful gem in Belmont has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants in the area. Everything weve tried so far has been excellent - the burger, ribeye, short ribs, fried chicken, vegetarian lasagna, pork belly, and Korean pork sandwich. Some of the dishes come with sides, like creamed spinach, mac & cheese, or fries, and those are also excellent, along with being larger than most restaurants sides. My only complaint so far has been the size of the chocolate pot de crème dessert, but that was only because it was so yummy! A wonderful choice for takeout during the covid era, or they also have a good sized patio for outdoor seating if youre comfortable with that.

My husband and I ordered the Thanksgiving meal since we were not going to travel anywhere and didn’t want to cook. The paperwork that came with the meal said it was Farm House’s first meal of the kind. We loved it, so delicious! We’ve ordered from there several times and always savored it, takeout or dine-in. I really hope they will offer a Christmas meal, too, since we won’t be going anywhere then, either. Best restaurant I’ve ever gone to, and consistently amazing! A clean, cool place in a hidden spot. I have been so close to this place and never knew it was here. Wish the outdoor seating was a bit more and nicer, but I am sure they will get there. The staff was very nice although it took a while for someone to start helping us, we eventually had to say something to someone, even though there only a few tables occupied. Ordered a $15 meatball sub. The salad that came with it was great. The sub is small and the meatballs needed to be sliced up. They are just jammed in there so when you try to bite them they slip in the tiny roll and end up pushing through the back. It was a pretty good meatball sub, but $15 is a bit much. The kids loved their mac and cheese and one serving was enough to feed both of them. All in all we had a nice time and I am sure we will be back for a second try.

We live in the neighborhood and decided to check this place. Our reservation was at 5:30 PM for outdoors and after making it there on time we were met with the ask to vacant the table by 7 PM for the next reservation or sit inside instead. Why?? It was not very welcoming.As for the food, theres a good variety of interesting dishes. However, the steak came cold:( Considering the restaurant was half-empty this was strange.And lastly, 15% service charge does not help to create an overall impression.

We were looking for a dinner location close to our hotel Friday night. I work for a food magazine and their menu looked interesting. There were six of us at dinner on a Wednesday evening. We ordered 2 appetizers: the hot Brie and Tacos. Both were delicious. We were able to sit outside too because of the georgeous weather. My 5 year old order the kids Mac n Cheese and its was one of the favorite dishes of our whole group! I ordered the Roasted Chicken dish and loved it! Expensive for pretty basic food and the nice ambiance is ruined by bad acoustics and illogical seating choices. I went with a friend late at night, the place was mostly empty but they asked if we had a reservation in a way that made it seem like we wouldnt be able to eat if we didnt. Then they wanted to seat is right next to other people at a tiny table because it already had silverware and all the other tables didnt (lazy? Trying to be efficient? ... Not sure) Anyway, the food was good but unimpressive. The butter lettuce and blue cheese salad had high quality lettuce but lots of overly sweet cranberries and way too much sweet dressing --- not creative, not great. The Oxtail did not fall off the bone like it should. The scalloped potatoes needed salt (and I dont usually like salty food, so it was like the recipe called for it and they just forgot to add it). There were also some carrots. $55 (I also got a lemonade that was undrinkable) and they didnt even smile when I said goodnight, they just wanted us to leave. Lame. I think youll be fine if you keep your expectations low and dont care about paying a lot for boring food. Cute decorations and nice lighting though.

Came for the soft open 7/8/17, for dinner. We had the charcuterie board, stones and greens salad, pulled chicken (sandwhich) and dry rubbed hanger steak. It was A LOT of food for two people. The portions seemed small but it was all very filling and VERY flavorful! Whoever is pickling things in the kitchen should get a gold medal! We didnt order the roasted cauliflower but were envious of tables who did. Definitely something to try next time. The atmosphere was nice, the service was friendly. Families and children are welcome. Overall, a great experience! I loved seeing the chefs work in the exposed kitchen.

Good lunch, our spot was under the sun no shade, would have loved for the waitress to propose us to switch to a shaded table once one was available. The tree there seems to be called a strawberry tree, and while it isnt toxic for dogs, it causes them to vomit. Had a lovely dinner with a group of six. The restaurant was a little difficult to find at first because it is nestled in a residential neighborhood with minimal street lighting. But once we found it, there was ample street parking. The ambience was as expected, with a lot of farm friendly decor. (I loved the red bull in the bathroom as a coat hook.) But the best part of this experience was the food. The menu was a varied and very accessable. I had the salmon with mushroom risotto and it was delicious! I tried some of my friends pot roast with mashed potatoes and gravy. It was flavorful and excellent as well. There was a good selection of wine and we shared two bottles of a Pino Noir that paired well with everything. The chef (Josh) came over and chatted with our table for several minutes. He explained the menu and his vision for the restaurant and future offerings. He was a delight. For something delicious and accessable to a wide variety of food tastes, I highly recommend Farm House. We will definitely be back again.

Please support this neighborhood restaurant during COVID!We had hamburger, braised short rib, and carrot cake for dinner tonight. Ordered online from their website and picked up at the front door. It was so easy! The pick up process maintained social distancing. Everyone stayed safe, and the food was delicious! I so much wanted to like this place and I was looking forward to the meal. The interior is nice and somewhat modern and rustic, I liked that. But there it ends. We ordered some Cava to start off, the Cava was served in wine glasses, the bottle left on the table, not cooled. We ordered seafood linguine - some fresh seafood on the rim, pasta over cooked and to much sauce no taste. The rabbit stew my husband ordered actually had one rabbit leg and one chicken leg in it, no words for that. The slider buns for the kids were way too dark and they did not finish them. We will not go again. The starters were OK, though.

The food and service are great and worth 4-5 stars however the reason I only gave 3 stars is because they dont really accommodate kids.I realize that not everyone has kids and some people dont like seeing kids in restaurants and they are totally acceptable factors and points of view but I have kids so 9 times out of 10, if I go out for lunch they are coming with me.The two main issues I had were simple fixes:- There was only one kids menu option (scrambled eggs)- They dont offer a kids menu for them to play/color in (I have a vague recollection of getting this from them before but we didnt get it yesterday)So in summary, if you have kids probably avoid it, if your group is adults or adolescence only they its definitely worth a try.
