Dined on the back patio, great atmosphere, casual and inviting. Our group had the garlic prawns and artichoke dip to begin with followed by the pork chop, beef and rock cod. Food was cooked well for all meals, right temperature and consistency. Only recommendation would be on seasoning which was lacking especially on the pork and beef. Overall great experience and will be back

Really love this little gem but super disappointed they don’t have many apps for lunch. We stopped to have a charcuterie board and a bottle of wine and they don’t do charcuterie boards at lunch. Then I asked for the artichoke dip and they don’t serve that either until dinner. We ended up with the flat bread. It was ok.

Came for the truffle pasta and stayed for the short rib. Unparalleled ambiance, especially for the area. Loving coming here for date night but have also co-hosted small gatherings. Parking can be a little tricky. Appetizers are all 10/10.

Me and my girlfriend ordered bone morrow for appetizer and branzino for our main dish. When bone morrow came at first it looks so good but when we put our forks the smell was so disgusting and it was bloody 🤮. So we asked our waitres to take ot back. Then our fish came in.... bone in... unfinished as well bloody inside. We didnt say anything at that time, we were working around it. I tried their food there before and was disappointed but thought it would be better second time. I guess i was wrong. Very disappointing 😞

I was very excited to try this place after hearing great reviews from family and friends. I came on a Saturday afternoon in January. The weather was nice so we sat outside in their cute courtyard. The food was delicious and I could tell why so many people talk highly about this place. The one reason I didn’t rate this place a full five stars was due to the service. We had placed our food order and nothing came out for about 20-30 minutes. Tables around us that were seated well after we had ordered our food received their food orders way before ours. They were sitting with different waiters/waitresses so I’m guessing this was just due to our particular waitress. She was not attentive.

My family had told me tales of a great place in Granite Bay, and today, I got to experience it for myself. First, you walk up and get a big nose of their smoker filling the air with an amazing BBQ aroma. Once you walk inside, its like stepping into another world. We headed out to the patio to our table. The Flatbread appetizer was amazing, perfectly seasoned and thin sliced roast beef on the housemade Flatbread was a great way to start. The bread of the day was delicious, and the hummus and peppers melded nicely. My pastrami sandwich was also top-notch. The pastrami was tender and flavorful. I will need to save room for dessert on my next visit

Farmhaus is a family owned restaurant so it excels in service and quality. The food is always really good and comes out in a decent amount of time. The staff there are very helpful and polite and would do anything to make sure your service there wont be forgotten. Parking may be a bit crammed in the back so go early to grab a spot before they run out! Also, the patio seating is really nice and relaxing as you hear the water fountain in the background. Great place for a nice and quick brunch.Food pricing is about $13-$15 a plate.

I ordered a Caesar salad ($13 with no protein) and my table waited an hour for our food. I was expecting my salad to be as a lunch salad should be. I added chicken and this is what I got. The server was great and the pastrami sandwich was good (other than the rock hard bread cutting the roof of your mouth.) I’m sure they have great food but don’t get the Caesar salad if that’s your main dish! My husband and I paid $40 and left hungry.

This is a busy restaurant. The flavors are unique and delicious. Everyone ordered something different in our party and we finished our plates. Dont expect huge portions. Just enough food arrives on your plate, but it leaves you wanting more. The outside sitting area is picturesque. The inside gets a bit loud when all the seating is filled. I would recommend the brunch.

Weve had wonderful dinner experiences at Farmhaus. The building looks like a home on an English countryside. It has a clean, rustic vibe. The patio is spacious and offers a lovely ambiance. They do allow pups on the patio. The menu is simple and not overwhelming and the food is delicious. They had a live musician Thursday evenings. Service was friendly and the dishes were presented beautifully. The restaurant isnt very big and not very private, but its very clean and people seem to really enjoy themselves. Theres a bar on one side inside as well. The kitchen is visible as you walk in and you can watch the chefs carefully prepare and cook the food. Its really a nice place. Well be back.

First, the place is beautiful and the outdoor seating area was awesome. The staff was professional and friendly, service was great. We made our order for apps and our meals fairly quickly. Our apps came out fast, we got the artichoke dip and the bread plate. The dip was delicious but they gave you very few bread chips, literally like 3 bread chips for an entire small plate of delicious dip. The bread of the day was also delicious. Good start, it then took nearly 50 minutes to get our dinner, it was a long wait. My wife got the smoked short rib, the dish was beautiful on the plate, and the meat was cooked well, but the flavor was like a fancy pot roast, and I say fancy because the price was outrageous for the amount she got and the flavor. She said its not something she would eat again. I got the Pasta Bolognese, again it looked great on the plate, the sauce was not good at all, and a few pieces of pasta were not fully cooked, it was also a tiny plate of pasta for nearly $30. We didnt bother getting desert, we just didnt have time, and honestly based on the main courses not being that great for the price, we are glad we didnt. We really wanted to love this place, the atmosphere and service were awesome, but I just cant see us paying as much as we did for food that just really didnt reflect that price point. Sadly we probably wont be back.

Loud, uncomfortably close dining room. Expect to be moving out of the way each time the server comes to your neighbor’s table. Fortunately their kitchen is so slow (understaffed for the size of the floor) that the servers are rare visitors.Extremely overpriced, underwhelming menu. $48 for a 7 ounce (???) “eye of the ribeye” (?!?!?), 2 tiny Yukon potatoes and some jus. Folks, “eye of the ribeye” isn’t a thing.Pictured is what the $12 cream cheese and artichoke (they’re calling it “artichoke dip”) looks like after you’ve loaded up the 5 crostini they served it with.It is unfortunate how mediocre the Folsom Lake area food scene is but that’s not a reason to lower your expectations and just eat their nonsense.If you appreciate lovingly made, delicious and appropriately priced food in a comfortable setting, avoid this location. This is a trap for folks who take their culinary tips from pintrest.

My son took me to dinner at the Farmhaus. It was close to where we were visiting Granite Bay Beach.This is a small quaint restaurant. They will seat you with a choice of inside or outside on that back patio. There is only one bathroom, very clean, and no urine odor noticeable, Im just being real about it. We chose back patio.The menu is simple with a few entree dishes to choose from when we were there, Seafood, Pork Chop, Duck, Risotto( do not remember the name of the dish),Hand Cut Fettuccine Noodle (not a cream sauce), and Eye of RibEye Roast ( 2 small round Ribeye and 2 round Foundant Potatoes on the plate). That is what I remember of choices.We did order a starter. Cast Iron Artichoke Dip, delicious, entrées were Hand Cut Fettuccine (haus-ground beef bolognese), Eye of Ribeye Roast, and 2 desserts were Creme Brulee .The meals were delicious.My disappointment came when the woman who collected our starter plates, not our server, brought another set of silverware to replace the first set. She placed the set on the table without a napkin, I would prefer her handing it to me, and I would have placed it on my napkin because tables are questionable in public to me. My reason for one less star.Andrea is a very nice server. After serving the food, she did return to check if we were pleased with our dishes, which I appreciated.We do recommend this quaint restaurant.

This is a place Ive had on my short list for a while. We took our caterer friend for lunch as a thank you, and to try a new place. Parking is tight and the lot was full, front and back, at noon (we arrive before 11 am opening). The decor is sharp yet comfortable and inviting. We were seated in the outdoor patio (its in the 70s in Granite Bay). Wait staff was very charming, easy going and very knowledgeable. Water and tea came quickly, as did appetizers: roasted brussel sprouts and pastrami wrapped potatoes. Absolutely wonderful!. A bottle of Sugar Hill Sorbon Estate Zinfandel was recommended and proved as wonderful as the appetizers. My beef pot pie was very good, though I like it a bit wetter. Bacon Mac and Cheese delighted my wife and friend. I enjoyed it as well, but am not a big M&C eater. The BLC (bacon lettuce chicken) sandwich was a hit with all. Im being a bit picky only because the food is so very good. We have already reserved a party for this weekend rather than go to another favorite place. Glad we went.

My brother had their steak meal and it looked like a 4oz piece with a small scoop of mashed potatoes and some green beans. His plate was ~$34. My 12 pizza was $22. Both meals tasted wonderfully, but this place isnt where youd want to go if you want to eat on a budget.

Farmhaus has to be on the must try dining experiences for everyone. This was my third visit and each time I am equally impressed! Today for breakfast I had wild salmon (seared, seasoned and cooked perfectly)with roasted potatoes--for breakfast! Im so glad I tried it! My aunt had the benedict that was accompanied by a short rib. What?! Hands down delicious! My other aunt ordered one of their bowls which I cant describe but it was equally delicious. On top of amazing food the service is the best. Our waiter, Andrew, was so attentive and kind. He took care of everything we needed! The place was packed but he was calm, cool, and collected. Thank you!!! We will definitely return and bring others with us!

Weve been several times over the last few years and are exceptionally delighted each time. Its location is certainly off the beaten path, but their menu is always seasonal. While the menu is fairlly small, it has great variety and youll still find yourself having to make a tough choice between great dishes. Was here last night for my boyfriends Christmas work party. Everything was phenomenal!!! The steak was cooked so perfect, I havent had a steak cooked that PERFECT Ina very long time. Light pink all the way throughout yet was warm and the texture meaty yet soft. Sides were great as well. The service was beyond exceptional. The gal deserves a raise. Very VERY good at what she does. Knowledge, kind/sweet, and attentive. I will definitely be back to see what the regular menue is all about.

My party was seated promptly at 5:30 on a not-so-busy night, but it took almost an hour for our food to arrive. I am having a really hard time rating this place. The food tasted great but I am simply not seeing the value here. The menu is tiny and service is very friendly but dragging... I’ve been twice now and am not sure I’ll be back. Starter, main course and shared desert with a glass of wine scratches $170... Bay Area prices, Michelin 5 star worthy portions (bring a magnifying glass for pasta dishes) and fast food menu size options to choose from (I think 2-3 choices per section). The more I write the more I think its not for me :-(

Eating here is like sitting on hard concrete, having to yell to talk to people, and basically pouring a salt shaker into your mouth. The food is extremely overpriced and the room is extremely crowded. I had to yell to talk to people less than a foot away from me. Its also very slow. The chairs are extremely uncomfortable. If you are looking for fancy food that is actually good, go to hawks which is about a mile away. The food is 10x better, you get unlimited bread, the service is amazing and the chairs are super comfy. Overall would not recommend.

My friend and I went here for lunch after a hike at Folsom lake. We got there at about 12:30 on a Wednesday, the dining room was full but there was plenty of patio seating, with portable heaters. We both ordered the Haus Bowl, but I added bacon to mine for $2 extra. The waitress said if we were really hungry a bowl would satisfy us. The bowl was really big, but the food itself was sparse. Plus, it had very little flavor, even with the bacon. I could tell it was healthy, low in calories, no added fat, but I needed about 30% more food to feel satiated and more flavor and/or texture would have been nice. I was torn between 3 and 4 stars.

We come here every Sunday for brunch. This place is great. The food is very good and they make it fresh. The service is even better.The price for this kind of food is well prices.The only negative is that it is small and sometimes it’s hard to get seated. The parking is odd and is not the best. Aside from that, this place is a solid A!!We love the brunch menu on weekends.Don’t let the outside fool you. Yes it looks like a house and the first time I had a hard time forcing my wife to go in, however inside it’s really nice with a open kitchen. That looks the size of a small room. Yet it makes amazing food. The decor inside and the courtyard are nice with a full bar.

We were ready looking forward to trying this restaurant due to the reviews on the the atmosphere, the food and service that we hav heard so much about, we arrived and were seated in an adjacent building that you could tell it was used for large groups, the table was seated for 20 and there was three of us, the table was dirty and didn’t see a waiter, at sitting in this room for 20 m minutes without seeing a waiter we left. What is extremely insulting is that we were walked through the restaurant that had tables set for four that were open. Very disappointed!!!!

Delicious and charming spot for a special, yet casual meal. The menu offers comfort food with a healthy twist. There are plenty of options for those that want to splurge or stick to their healthy eating plan. Friendly service and a great atmosphere, though it can get a little noisy in here. Let me preface by saying I rarely leave long reviews. I just needed to voice my opinion amongst the so many 5 star reviews when I spend a lot of money and feel I get little effort in execution in return. I am a foodie and appreciate value for my hard earned money. I have quite a bit of experience with good food... both very expensive places and hole in the wall dive eateries. I usually am disappointed more times than not where I spend over $100/meal. Certain expectations come with that threshold. Very good service, very good food, attention to detail. This placed pretty much lacked it all. Calling 7 times to get a reservation and hitting voicemail 6 times and getting hung up the 7th wasnt a good sign but I was optimistic. Rather than just saying the food sucked, heres some more detailed constructive criticism. Starters, the warm kale salad was good with the bacon but mostly the kale stole the show being how kale is in my eyes as a great ingredient. The truffle mushroom crostini was ordinary. A little goat cheese, overwhelming truffle, no mushrooms in sight. Bread was too thick. We both decided on the wagyu steak for entree. Lets just say Ive had better steaks on my own grill. Not that tender... gristly burnt edge (not a true sear) and nearly medium well (asked for medium rare) to the point my wife couldnt finish hers. Nearly $40 and probably worth half that. I needed something to better finish the meal than the meat so hopefully dessert would redeem it all. This was the worst part of the whole meal. I mean a simple lemon tart. How do you screw it up? It felt like an entire afterthought surely not worth of a place with $30+ entrees. The tart crust was rock hard and I nearly shattered the plate and slid the tart on my lap cutting it with my spoon. Once that happened, the lemon filling spread everywhere. Very unappetizing and incredibly sweet. The last 3 dishes were not at all polished enough to be worthy of a fine dining establishment. Service was so slow and didnt flow well at all. Felt understaffed. So much for a nice birthday dinner. $150 incl tip. Wont be back and not sure why all the 5 star people think this is even worth the money... probably because very little high end competition in the area to compare it to. I hope they use this review to improve quality/service/execution as this hidden spot has the potential to be a great gem in the neighborhood.

Sizzling shrimp was delightful, just enough spice to wake up the tastebuds, the flatbread was crisp and mildly seasoned with a drizzle of balsamic, the special that night was seabass, which was perfectly prepared on a bed of spinach and rice, sprinkled and corn. I ordered a cappuccino while I waited for my companion, and waited, and waited. It probably took 15 minutes for the cappuccino to arrive. It arrived without sugar, so I had to flag down a waiter. When I unrolled my napkin to get a spoon, there was no spoon, so I had to flag down a waiter to ask for a spoon. Service was disorganized and inattentive.Then the hostess asked us to move to accommodate a group of 17 loud, obnoxious people. She could have seated the two of us literally anywhere in the dining room, and yet she had sat us in the middle of a long bench. Needless to say, having to move was inconvenient and annoying. I was later told You didnt have to move, but this was absolutely not true. They would have done anything to move 2 people in order to accommodate 17. Our comfort and business is obviously worth less than a rowdy group.Management did nothing to remedy the extremely poor service. I thought AT LEAST they would have comped the terrible cappuccino. Im never returning.
