Love this place have been coming here for years and the rolls are consistently good, especially the veggie/vegan rolls. Prices are amazing for what you get. We got the tofu steak, avocado roll, mushroom roll, avocado mushroom roll, veggie lover roll, and veggie king roll. Even though I dont live in the bay area anymore this is a must on my list when I do.

Ordered chicken and beef teriyaki, taste was delicious, good portion for 2. Come with salad, miso soup, and rice.Beef teriyaki was great, bit chewy but taste great.Chicken teriyaki wasnt so good -- Its dry and hard, not freshly grilled, possible precooked end pieces left over.The teriyaki sauce was amazing.Salad dressing definitely 😋.Recommended teriyaki place to try.Lots of sushi choicesCant wait to try the ramen next tim.

Mediocre food. We got takeout. Two of the rolls were supposed to have shrimp tempura on the inside but the shrimp didnt actually go across the whole roll so half the pieces only had artificial crab. Better places would have put a third piece of shrimp so each piece in the roll had shrimp.

Went to Fat Fish while on vacation and the food was great and the staff were extremely nice. My only concern was all of the garbage outside and stacks of cardboard in the parking lot.

After going here for years, I am sad to say I wont be going back. Pictures are of what are supposed to be salmon sushi but the meat has so many different colors of salmon meat going on that I dont feel safe eating it. Plenty of other sushi places... Good bye Fat Fish, my first true sushi love.

The place is dirty and if they let you go inside the kitchen God knows what you will find - but the portion is big and some dishes are good and others not so much;regardless, they raised the prices . The people who work there are not friendly, and sometimes they offer you soup and other times they dont, and they are too disorganized, and the floor is sticky, and everything is rusty, and the cups are dirty .

Great food and service. Ive been going here for 10 plus years and they have by far the best sushi one of the best things about them is the quantity and quality of the food you get. One of the biggest things you got to like is getting a bang for your buck and this is the place to go. Ive been to fancy restaurants but this one kicks fancy restaurants but all the time so worth going.

I got the princess, cherry blossom, and pink lady rolls. That is the order that I liked them, as well. The rolls were prepared in a timely manner. The spicy Mayo is a little different than the spicy Mayo I’m used to, but it wasn’t bad. Had a sweeter taste to it. I would order from here again. Miso soup was also tasty.

Love this place. It isnt the best sushi around but it is a solid second place winner. It is also some of the cheapest sushi around though. Even if you dont like soup, you should try the spicy noodle seafood soup. The cook in the back Gregorio makes it and it is simply the best around, hands down.They really care about the customer at this place. They have so many delivery orders that the drivers come in and out so many times while you are here eating. I love me some Fat Fish

This is my favorite sushi spot, has been for years. The food is amazing, very well prices and most of the rolls are pretty big. The menue with pictures on the wall makes it easy to find what you want and the service is pretty quick. I love that they have beet and saki along with a good amount of other choices of drinks. Iv never had bad service, an order messed up or been unsatisfied with my food. If you havent been here you must. Its a little hole in the wall but has a whole lot of amazing food.

I had this after work. Was the worst sushi I have ever had. You can just tell it’s very dirty and not well managed, food on the floors, in the back kitchen you can just feel the energy it’s really a shame. I would not lie or waste my time writing a bad review, if you want good sushi go to Angry fish sushi, sushi land or any other place, they are very unclean and if you go out to eat a lot you can tell whether someone put effort or just threw something together. I work hard for my money and don’t deserve to be treated/ served that way. I beg of you go to the other local sushi spots, you will not be disappointed however if you come here you’ll just feel gross that nasty after feeling when you know something isn’t right. My 1st time trying this place. I used to always walk by it on my 5 mile trek... and want to stop. I finally did and I was a very Happy camper. The food was fresh, the staff friendly and attentive...I like that you order and then sit. I had the Beef dumplings (gyoza) and the Honeymoon Roll if I recall correctly. They also have hot tea and it was wonderful...piping hot! It was just a tad under $20 bucks and I was satisfied!! Their menu is expansive so each time you come try something new.. that what I am gonna do. I look forward to coming back and dining here. There bathroom was also up to par, so overall it was a great experience...kinda of the beaten path but on a main street if that makes sense 🤔😁🥰

A fairly middle of the road teriyaki place. I think the building is an old Taco Bell - kinda neat in a way! I love teriyaki and finally had a chance to stop in. I decided to eat in rather than take to go. Nothing about my meal was terrible but nothing really stood out either. I had the bento box with chicken teriyaki (came out lukewarm), 4 pieces of California roll (barely any avocado and was cold like it had been in the fridge), rice, salad, and miso soup. The rice is not quite sticky enough for chopsticks. It’s a bit pricey for only offering 4 pieces of California roll. The quality of the chicken is okay, but it didn’t really leave me wanting to order (raw) sushi. I’ll probably skip this place in the future as it’s not super close to home, but it’s not so bad that I wouldn’t consider it again.

Food is not kept cold. I mean the fish for the sushi. There was a fly flying inside where the fish was. Salmon looks old and the ginger taste old too. The sushi falls apart. I used to get food from here but this should be my last. I will go to Safeway sushi is fresh

Reasonable prices but when you consider the quality and flavors of the food, its a steal! If youre looking for a good sushi place, look no further! I usually go to the Pleasanton location which is really good. I went to this location to try it out and it was a huge disappointment. The drop in quality from the Pleasanton location to the San Leandro location was huge. The food was not prepared with fresh ingredients and the overall taste was different for all of my rolls that I ordered. I will not be going back here. Its best that you do the same.

The name is spot on in multiple ways - the rolls are huge, generous, and rotund, and the fish is delicious enough it could easily help me put on a few pounds. Seriously, every time I eat here I overeat. Seriously fresh fish, awesome and unique roll combs, delicious hot rice bowls, and some of the beef prices in the east bay combine to make this my new go-to spot for sushi. Its been an amazing find to help get through this Covid lock down. 10/10 would recommend.

The food is pretty good here. It take a long time tho, it’s pretty crowded when it’s meals times. The service is a hit or miss sometimes the waitress/cashier can be really friendly and sometimes kind of rude, depending on who it is.The inside Could use some redesigning and some deep cleaning. I find it a little odd also how they have their “office table” with all the paperwork and the lap top right in the entrance of the restaurant, I would recommend them to put it in the back of the restaurant dividing it with a curtain or something of that matter.

I havent been to this place for almost 2 years, but what a disappointment it was this time around. Fat fish used to be relatively cheap with decent quality rolls and OK raw fish, now the quality of their rolls (both the taste and presentation), the rice and fish wouldnt even stick together before its dipped into soy sauce. We also ordered the fried oyster as our appetizer, and I can honestly say its one of the worst I have ever seen, the bread crumbs covering the oyster were SO thick and hard. At least the person at the counter who took our orders was nice, thats about the only good thing I can say about this visit and I definitely will not be coming back in a long time.

My favorite place for sushi..I always order the volcano. The only bad thing is that they bring the food out separately from the other party u go with. The place is run down and dirty. Dirty windows, booths and floors. Piles of paper stacked in the corner and dust on the ledges. Set up is weird. You order from a board menu, pay, grab your own drinks and sit and wait for your good. They ask for a tip on your receipt even though theres no table service. The young chubby Asian girl taking the orders is rude and messed up my order twice on my visits. Only reason I give this place 3 stars is the delicious vegetarian rolls and the nice old man.

The only thing is i waited till our food came out to ask for my beer. Im used to having it brought to me. She pointed at a fridge. I asked her so what am i supposed to do? She said oh, ill get it. Im still not sure if i was supposed to get my own beer? I really enjoyed the sushi and so did the rest of my party. So, next time i go, ill ask about the beer. Pricing is decent but this place has really gone downhill in the past couple of years. I ordered the papa roll, the baby lobster roll, bay marina roll and the honeymoon roll; the papa roll was without avocado despite it being listed as being part of the roll, and the honeymoon roll was without cucumber. They give you a lot of sushi hoping you wont notice these things so examine your roll before eating it. Also I was happy with the cashier who helped me she was very sweet but the chubby kid who bagged my food creeped me out (and Ive heard negative things about him in the past from others) Cashier lady, my tip was for you for being so nice and efficient as always. Chubby kid, my brother has no idea why you hate on him so much but he laughs about it.

I was happy with the checker she shortened my change. My change was a dollar something and she only gave me my change. My girlfriend only got water in her cup and knowing the girl at the register ripped me off for a dollar I checked my receipt and she charged me for two extra sodas and I told my girlfriend I wasn’t happy and I didn’t want to confront the young lady because I might get mad so my girlfriend went up there and the other girl was at the register and my girlfriend told her about the mistake and the girl who handled my transaction told the other girl in Spanish that my girlfriend got a bottled water in Spanish and that she seen her well my girlfriend speaks Spanish so she told her that she didn’t and the girl was only going to refund one drink but refunded two. My girlfriend didn’t even mention the dollar I was shorted. I was not Even going to mention it to my girlfriend until I seen the receipt. Food was good but I expect honesty when it comes to my money especially when I spend just shot of 40 dollars 😔

The sashimi is good and the 49ers roll is one of my favorite.but dont get it twisted its raidernation all day . They offer ice and water on a small table which is nice. Have gotten my order wrong twice, but the price and portions have me coming back. First was a regular Philadelphia roll when I ordered a super Philadelphia roll. Yesterday it was getting the all salmon sashimi wrong, then asserting that I got it wrong and charged me an extra dollar. I didnt know the order was wrong until I got home. I was shocked that they got the dollar (actually a dollar ten) and tried to blame me.

Was there for dinner today with my 17 yr old son. They have a great selection of veggie rolls. We requested a custom-roll: veggie tempura inside,.topped with inari sttips and seaweed salad. It was huge...all their rolls are on the larger side. It was VERY good...would go back. If you go,.go for the food, not for the ambiance or the service...you place your order before you sit down. It has definitely gone down in terms of quality. Ive had fat fish years before and felt like the quality then versus tonight has significantly changed. The prices are still reasonable however if you enjoy sashimi like I do, youd probably want to just stick with rolls here or bentos. Affordable considering this was a walk around from my home but for quality of sashimi or nigiri, not so much. Maybe more of the albacore and salmon sashimi but definitely a bummer for the tuna.. you can tell its the blocked/dyed kind of fish meat thats on the market.

This is my favorite local sushi restaurant. Everyone there is really friendly and the service is great. Just know that you come in and order first - tea is free and you have to get your own water and ice (at the water dispenser). So, if you have a large party, scope out the seats before ordering. They have a large selection of rolls; the red lion, pink lady, dynamite, and heart attack arey favorites. The ramen is okay, the bento are great, the udon is good, the tea is free, and the prices for appetizers are reasonable.

Excellent sushi rolls. Many are cooked so people that are timid with raw can enjoy also. At least 88 different rolls. Seafood, Deep Fried and Veggie. Also Donburi, Grilled Dishes, Bento Box, Sushi and Sashimi, Appetizers, Salad, Udon and Ramen. Also Party Platters. The dinning area is small but most people are doing take out. Basically this place is a former very old taco bell building but no matter the food is pretty good.

I have been going to the many sushi restaurants recently and found this place to be very underrated if you want a quick bite or a good sit in meal the food here is exquisite. They are also very honest I left my wallet there overnight with over 100 dollars and put a lot of credit cards and they returned it to me the next day.

Small suchi place, but they have a lot of option, cooked and uncooked, I prefer cooked and they were delicious, they have other option for eat, the service is faster you can eat there or you can order to got, the parking lot is smaller but you can parking on the street.

You still really like this place food is good but wait staff going to cook either theyre too slow or unorganized now but the last two times I went there I waited almost an hour after pre-ordering on the phone get my food the last time they forgot to make my face after I called it in and I had to wait and this time I called it in they said about 20 minutes I paid for the meal and waited for about 45 minutes and as I got up to leave some of it though mean that you wanted her money back because of some other problem its going to take 10 minutes they should say 10 minutes its going to take the 40 minutes they should say 40 minutes but dont say its going to take 15 to 20 minutes and then pick an hour that sucks

I honestly cant say nothing negative about this place because I have not eaten here but I have had to pick up food to deliver for a company I worked for they were always very very busy parking lot of super small very difficult to find parking on busy days so I would say if youre a seafood person and enjoy Seafood it might be worth the difficult for parking
