Very authentic Hong Kong style street cuisine. Ive never been disappointed by any of the dishes Ive ordered. HongKong style Cantonese flavors abound. This place has maintained its standard for as long as I know. This fixes my needs when I felt that I needed Hong Kong street food. They take cards and e-payment now! Used to be a cash only place.

The price is reasonable and the food is of large portion. Overall taste is authentic Cantonese style but roasted duck is kinda too sweet. Didnt provide some sauce for beef offal. My another complaint is the duck is toooo fat mouth of oil.

Updated review 10/12/2022: Fat Wongs has re-opened for indoor dining after 2.5+ years of closure. The owner has retired and the restaurant is now run by his son (looks nothing like him.) My beef brisket lo-mein $14.45 is significantly smaller than before the pandemic. I was still hungry after eating it. I came here because Cafe Orchid is closed on Wednesdays. The menu has been revised. A lot of my old favorites like crispy noodles are no longer available. Im glad the old owner retired. He doesnt look that old by the way. I hope he enjoys his retirement. He was really thankful for the support when I was the only customer during the lock down. Before the pandemic, this was one of my go-to restaurants for clay pots, rice rolls, porridge w/Chinese donuts, wonton noodles and of course their briskets. Thank you for the 15+ years Ive been eating here. The portions now are smaller and it taste different (downhill.) Wheres the oyster sauce for my lo-mein? Good luck to the new owner.Original review: No indoor dining. To-go only. I spoke with the owner and he doesnt plan on opening the dining room. Tonight, I had their shrimp wonton tossed noodles $10.50, braised beef brisket $9.25 and BBQ pork wonton noodle soup $10. The wontons are noticeably smaller than in years pass. They still tasted good. I noticed my BBQ pork wonton noodles only came with two wontons. The braised beef brisket appetizer was fine. They are chewy with a good clean taste. I like how it came with little pieces of daikon.

Beef chow funn had good wok hei. Food a bit on bland side maybe I am used to more salty foods. They now take credit card so dont worry about having enough cash. Good service too.

I got excited when I saw red vinegar in their side condiment tray. I like it with the shrimp wontons and congee. The shrimp wontons were almost too big. They were alright. The congee was on the saltier side. The braised beef was meh. The quality of the food felt lacking. The worst was the after taste...felt salty and bitter in the mouth.

Tasty authentic Chinese cuisine. This is very much w traditional sit down and share family style restaurant. There is a very wide variety of dishes all with their own appeal. The service is excellent and seating is very ample. Absolutely give it a try!

We order a plate of BBQ duck and a princess chicken with ginger sauce. Both items delicious. We also ordered seafood fried noodles, was delicious too. No complaints! Sorry forgot to take pictures must be busy eating 😅

The food here is pretty mediocre, the beef brisket is pretty on point but the rest isn’t that great. The menu is huge and I do want to give it another shot since I saw a lot of locals come and have Porridge. I had the beef brisket and tendon Lo mein and it was barely alright. It didn’t have much flavor, I had to douse it in chili oil to eat

Great place to get hard to find old school Hong Kong Cantonese food. All of the simple pleasures, less of the fancy stuff. Larger variety of rice rolls and Cantonese porridge.

Always enjoy going to Fat Wongs. We go about once per month and the food is authentic and favorable. They only accept cash but their prices are reasonable and their service is fast and no nonsense.
