The vibe starts with pulsating music, a few seats on the street and friendly efficient team working the take out counter. I love an overflowing Falafael, each bite was full of vegetables with flavors worth chewing and enjoying. Don’t compare this to your traditional, compare it to what you hope is available in the future! I’ll be back for the sweet potato fries!

My first time to Berkeley. Our daughter took us to Fava for a taste of the good food in Berkeley. We ordered soup, marinated beets with goat cheese, falafel with pita bread and salad with salmon. All the ingredients were fresh and very tasty. Good service as well! A must in Berkeley!

Their food is extremely innovative and hits the right flavors.Get a sandwich and pair their lentil soup with it. You cant go wrong. Highly recommended.

Incredible food, flavors, presentation. Everything is delicious and very fresh. Highly recommend the falafel plate, hummus, ginger tea, and chocolate chip cookie. Only wish they were open for dinner, too!!

Absolutely delicious. The food tastes so so fresh and the flavours are really unique. We got the salmon, spicy chicken and falafel/hummus side. Definitely going back a lot.

Still as consistent and delicious since the day they opened! I tried the chicken plate today for the first time and it won‘t be the last. I do need to increase the frequency of my visits before my departure from the Bay Area in a few months. 😩 I will certainly miss FAVA!

So good. Really great flavor (a lot of them). Incredibly fresh ingredients. It was the kind of lunch where I was already thinking about coming back again.I had the spicy chicken sandwich. It was actually spicy. My wife had the chicken salad plate. We each got our own tahini cookie (no sharing here!) and very yummy drinks.Highly recommend.

I would pick up something here every day if I could, but my office is in SF. Thankfully, I can still order ahead and walk over at least a couple times every week. FAVA serves delicious, artfully-prepared food to anticipate and savor! And the friendly faces and prompt, courteous service will keep you coming back for more.

Uber Delicious & Uber Healthy Fresh!!! Omg. I wish I lived close by I would eat at Fava everyday!!! Cheapest organic green juice i have ever seen and tasty.I ordered online and when I went to pickup I asked about the green juice if it was organic. I was greeted by one of the owners, Unbeknownst to me at the time, with a big smile. She & her employees have this amazing friendly and cool vibe.I got the spicy chicken pita. Omg I was in heaven. Spicy plus the earthy abundance of herbs plus the lovely pickled cabbage and amazing pita bread.. I was in heaven. A blue dragonfly came to visit me as I took my first bite. Guess it wanted some! Lured by the scent.. and flew away as I didnt pay it much heed as I was entranced with this lovely edible creation that I was mtg for the first time.The green juice quenched my thirst. Refreshing.The Tahini chocolate cookie. To die for and huge!!! Bigger than the photos on Instagram. I was shocked how it took up the entire width and length of the paper bag it was resting in. My only thing was it had 2 much chocolate!!.but thats bc im a minimalist with the chocolate chips and love my cookie dough. But thats me. The sesame seed sprinkle atop made it more fun and delightful to eat!!!! Im still dreaming about that cookie. Best chocolate chip cookie ive ever had.. im in love!Red lentil soup amazing!! Really good falafel sandwich with loads of fresh cilantro and some mint for a twist. Fun Berkeley sidewalk dining experience. I was drawn in by the loud fun funk music. Im sure their neighbors arent to appreciative of the thumping music, but it made for a fun experience.

Ive been ordering lunch here every Friday since Ive been working from home in 2020, and its become the highlight of my week. The falafel is my personal favorite but the spicy chicken and the trout rice plate are great, too. Takeout service is efficient and I appreciate that they package everything in compostable paper.

This is one of my go to lunch spots. Their hours of operation are sort of limited and primarily in the midst of the work week, but the brightest flames burn out first. Super fresh, healthy Mediterranean style food a la California. Every single thing on the menu is excellent.Who knew broccoli could be so tasty? Who knew a red cabbage slaw could usurp an entire meal? Who knew a boiled egg could melt in your mouth like custard? I didnt really care for tabouleh before FAVA, but wowow theirs is good. When I eat here, I genuinely feel better for the rest of the day. Physically and mentally. Their focus on fresh and healthy ingredients absolutely shines through in the eating experience. Wholesome, in a word.Try the soup. Try the salad. TRY THE MANGO LASSI RIGHT NOW. The desserts are simple but yummy. Try everything. Every cent spent here is a cent well spent. This is a to-go only place with no seating. If you want to sit somewhere in the Neighborhood, you can walk into the tunnel to Sunnyside Cafe where there are open tables, or walk over to Sauls where theyve got a free public patio, or go to the Tables in/around Peets. Ive never seen anyone get in trouble for doing this.

This place is my go-to for a fast, healthy, and fresh lunch. The tahini chocolate chip cookies make a really nice treat / dessert. Highly recommend the falafel flatbread! Cant wait to try their other dishes, but I love this one so much I havent yet deviated. Great restaurant with super kind people!

Shared the flatbread falafel (with hummus) and flatbread spicy chicken sandwich with my friend. 🤤 The presentation was bomb and our tastebuds were SHOOK. Sauce, spices/herbs, texture, tender chicken, hummus flavour👌, SO FRESH... Just do yourself a FAVA-r and just GO! 😍 We also tried the sesame tahini cookie, a softer warm cookie, and the texture and flavour were grand, and it wasnt too sweet, but the perfect amount of sweet. 🥰 SO GOOD.

Delicious, healthy food, perfectly made to order. Fresh juices, and tantalizing mango lassi. I had the little gem salad with roasted sweet potatoes, toasted sunflower seeds and a fresh cilantro dressing - refreshing and satisfying- while my girlfriend had the lamb flatbread wrap- perfectly complimentary fillings, and satisfying to the point of satiation. 100% would recommend.

FAVA is everything!! I LOVE the Lamb Flatbreads, fresh Herby Falafels, and rotating soups and salads. Most recently, I had a Golden Squash Soup w/ Jalapeno Yogurt that was divine. Their drinks are also insanely refreshing and reasonably priced.Fava is nothing short of everything I want and need at lunch time. The menu changes with the seasons, so it always features the absolute freshest ingredients that local farms have to offer. It also means that I never tire of whats on the menu, and theres usually something new and delicious to try. I sincerely appreciate their small menu because that means everything is excellent. Its simple math! The share of time and effort paid to each dish is above and beyond what most places can afford to give. Lastly, Sylvia and Jeremy (the chefs/co-owners) put their heart and soul into every detail of this tiny restaurant and you truly FEEL it when youre there. I always feel so good, and so proud of my community after I eat at Fava!!
