FEAST at Rieber in Los Angeles

Pretty decent vegan options for lunch and dinner however breakfast is WASTE OF TIME!!! The only thing to eat are hashbrowns, apples and oranges and, as they suggest, peanut butter. Theres actually a plan thats put in place for people with a special diet in these situations. Per their policy, the chef is supposed to cook u a meal. I know this to be true because Ive worked these programs before; however, the only person on the manag team that adheres to this policy Robert. Everyone else will avoid you. I dont ask anymore. However, I must add that the staff is absolutely warm and friendly. Is what it is for breakfast.Below are pics of the only vegan options for breakfast.

Be ready to be surprised about how good food, and how much variety, you can get at a university Cafe. There are a couple salad stations with western and Asian choices. There are around six food stations with a rotating menu.We had tofu, salmon, congee, shredded pork, and more. The matcha ice cream is exceptional, and you have a whole lot more dessert choices (it is clear the kids are going to gain weight eating here every day!).There are several different types of seating arrangements, though you may have to walk around to find an open seat.

The best college dining hall in US!

Always the most full dining hall on campus, reaching 90% capacity almost every night. The interior design is very nice and makes it feel very upscale. The food is very authentic and rotates out frequently. Its not quite to my taste but I suppose thats a good sign.

Exceedingly disappointing experience overall. While the food was fine (mediocre but acceptable), I cannot get over how ridiculously the staff at feast refused to allow me to swipe in a student who needed it. Food is a fundamental human right, and no student in one of the wealthiest schools should have to go hungry due to lack of meal swipes. No other dining hall has done this either, only FEAST. Staff of FEAST, I genuinely want to ask, where is your humanity?

Very cute little restaurant on the UCLA campus for UCLA students. Green tea soft serve ice cream machine, iced Vietnamese coffee, many different dishes at many different stations the portions are small as to not overfeed. Unfortunately, the night floor manager (60 year old Mexican who has been there like 30 years) I think his name is Luis is one of the the rudest floor managers I have ever met. Day shift is great, night shift, I dont think over 50 percent of staff really cares. Except this guy who was a temp I think his name is Ernest, was great.

Summer menu is a bit disappointing compared to the usual school year, but quality is great as always. Only 2 of the rotating stations were there today, with the other taken up by burgers fries grilled cheese and hot dogs. Flatbreads were OK not great. Normally Id give 5 stars, but the summer menu was a disappointment.

Quality has gone down in recent years, but it can still hit the spot on certain days.

When I first heard they were developing FEAST at Rieber, I was so jealous. Luckily, I got to try it a few times before it was officially open. The food is pretty good. I wouldnt expect anything authentic going in, but its better than westernized foods like Panda Express lol.

A delicious dorm dining hall that serves Asian food. How authentic it actually is depends on who you talk to but it is the best and only Asian dining hall on the hill at UCLA. They have sushi, green tea cream, and also Asian desserts.
