DONT ORDER PARTY TRAYS FROM HERE.If you plan to order a party tray of anything. Plan waaaay ahead of time. Pick-up time was 4pm for the Lumpia when i get there at 4:10, they tell me that they just started cooking it. I left the place at 4:45pm. This is the 3rd time. Wont order trays here ever again.

Comfort food and Philippino-American cuisine. BBQ, stair-fry, soup, stew, and snacks are all reasonably priced and good.Beef Rib Curry, Chicken Adobe, Steak Adobo, Pork Skewers, and Chicken Skewers are all must-orders! Everyone enjoys their enormous party platters of BBQ pork and chicken skewers.Family-owned eateries have always supported our local communities.

So on the outside looking in, this place doesn’t look great but the food is fire. If you want a bbq skewer or some pancet get hooked up here. Great bang for your buck. I love the food here. Lumpia’s could be better. Banana overpriced. Love the food though. Always gotta find meter street parking can be annoying here. Worth it. Two entree with rice, a side of pancet & lumpia. And a skewer cause you have to! Friendly staff. Always come back.

Needed sustenance on-the-go since Id be driving toward Sacramento, but I never expected this low-key spot to be THIS amazing for cafeteria-style (or any style, really) Filipino food. If you go, be sure to get their chicken skewers, but quite honestly, you cant go wrong. Order anything, and its bound to change your life. I ended up getting the beef kaldereta and pork asado with rice and pancit, too. Its funny how food ilicits next-level nostalgia, but I swear, that first bite into the chicken skewer brought me back to large family parties, playing tag in aunties yard with my cousins, and a general longing for funner and simpler times. What happened to us? Well, we grew up, but our zest for great Filipino food has only gotten more refined. Fil-Am Cuisine, you guys nailed it! Gen. MacArthur said it best, but I shall return. Hopefully, by then, there will be in-door dining, but as we know, perfection has its price. For now, its a to-go clamshell and a BBQ chicken skewer for 15 American.

Im so happy I got to explore Daly City today and tried this authentic restaurant. Since I am from San Jose, majority of the Filipino restaurants are closed due to COVID-19.When you walk in, you will see a menu on the top right side. Since I already knew what I was going to get before coming, we just ordered two orders of the bbq chicken and bbq pork with pancit. We also got a small order of dinguan, turon, and another item but I completely forgot what it was called. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for authentic Filipino food.THIS IS A CASH ONLY SPOT.

When you think of barbecue, taste good but too much work. If youre driving and you pass by this restaurant it will stop you in your tracks.The smell of barbecue fills the air drawing people to their door. Great little spot for food but congested parking and line out the door.When the food is cooked right you can never complain especially since theyre doing all the work.Just keep in mind if youre feeding young kids that food should be cooked thoroughly.(BURNT ON THE OUTSIDE DOES NOT MEAN ITS COOKED INSIDE)SOME PEOPLE GET SICK FROM UNCOOKED FOOD ESPECIALLY PORK.My advice pop it in the oven for at least another 45 minutes at 400° before eating just to make sure its cooked all the way through.

So I’ve only really had Filipino food a handful of times in my life so I didn’t know what to expect going up and ordering off the menu with a lot of terms that I was not familiar with. So I kept it simple and just ordered a chicken skewer. Oh man! That level of perfection is something I was not expecting! Perfectly chewy, juicy and the sauce is just right! Amazing hole in the wall. Yes, it’s not the most sanitary and clean restaurant you’ll visit but what they serve is street food so set your expectations that way. I tried their pancit (fried noodles), bbq chicken and pork, and some other items cooked with minced pork and braised beef ribs. This place is amazing! They have good chicken and pork bbq. Its non-stop grilling and stewing for these folks. It was my first time to try their beef caldereta. It was so tasty. The spice gave it a little bit of kick that makes the dish enticing. Just eat it immediately, cause the lard builds up when the dish cools down a bit 😁

This place is amazing. Had to drop the car off for an oil change next door at lunch time and immediately followed my curiosity and my nose. I got the 2 bbq skewers and rice (I wish I got the pancit since its the same price!) And ten pieces of lumpia and I. Loved. Every. Bite. This place draws you in with the perfect bbq smell for good reason. I got both chicken and pork skewers (one of each) and the chicken was perfectly smokey, almost dry (but still incredibly tasty) and the pork reminded me of Vietnamese pork chops (but smokier!). HUGE portions for the price! The service is standard for literally any Asian cuisine (direct, to the point, Next! What do you want? Anything else?type-dialogue, dont expect any courtesies, just solid, pragmatic, get-in-get-out-you-arent-here-to-chat service), polite enough to get by, and free water in the corner. They sell other dishes and, not being familiar with any of them, asked what some items were, and they honestly looked delicious. Alas, I will have to come back to try it all. The food is displayed out cafeteria style, but dont be fooled, they will grill the bbq the moment you choose it. This dive is a solid win and a new favorite. Whether or not youre in the neighborhood, give this place a try, its worth the portion, taste and price!!!

I wanted to love this place as I love supporting small businesses but I’ll have to say, I don’t think I would go out of my way to be back and support them.The food wasn’t bad especially for the price. The pork skewer was mostly fat though, which maybe i got a bad skewer. I did like the lumpia shanghai and chicken skewers though!aside from that, what really did it for me was the poor customer service. i don’t mind the line and service being slow but once we got to the register the cashier lady stood there and made us wait so that she could talk to these two boys that seem to be relatives? She didn’t even acknowledge me or a “give me a second”. she just glanced over and continued talking while we wait for her to check us out. even after I gave her the money, she counted out my change and didn’t even hand it to me before she continued having another conversation with them. I just don’t really appreciate the cashier’s “we have a line with lots of customers so we don’t necessarily need to tend on you immediately” attitude. it really ruined the experience for me and I don’t know if I want to go back to support that.

No frills (paper plates and plastic ware and only two long tables), so consider take out, but eating there like I did was nice too. 2 items and two large scoops of rice for only $6.70, or 1 item for $4.20. Fresh, juicy BBQ skewers in chicken or pork for $2.50-2.75 each. They have pancit too, and numerous sweet treats including turon (banana wrapped in egg roll wrapper and deepfried.) Great place with a steady line of customers even at 3-4pm on a Monday holiday afternoon. Great place!

The food here is really good. My husband and I get takeout from here at least twice a month. Our go to is the chicken and pork skewers and pancit. The lumpia and desserts are good too. The food is great and reasonably priced. But today, I went to get 2 orders and this lady wearing a blue apron and with blond-dyed hair seemed to take my first order. She looked me in the eye, she heard my order and she nodded and went to get some rice. Then, she started cooking BBQ and never returned to me to get my 2nd order. No explanation. There are a lot of people moving back there, so Ithought maybe someone else finished it and brought it to the cashier? Then the girl BEHIND me in line put in BOTH of her 2 orders with someone else and got to the cashier before me! Finally, I got the attention of another lady and she got my 2nd order. I FINALLY get to the cashier and tell her my 2 orders. The first order was never done! No handing it off to someone else to finish the order. So, I had to wait even longer for it to be completed. Then, I tried telling the cashier that the lady in the blue apron was taking my order but didnt finish it. I repeated this 4 times. The cashier kept saying random words in response as if she didnt understand what Im saying. Wow, even if youre also Filipino they try to pull the I dont understand English card until its time to pay. I think in the future, I will cook my own Filipino dishes. There are plenty of recipes online.

Went to this place after we heard they serve good barbecues. We ordered take out chicken and pork barbecues on a stick. Cost $3.50 each stick. We also ordered eggrolls, pakbit, turon and pancit. When we got home and tasted everything, I was impressed with the barbecues and the generous portions of meat on each stick. Totally worth it. The pancit was also delicious. Enjoyed the Turon for dessert. The pakbit and eggrolls tasted okay. Definitely recommend their barbecues.

This is it! Authentic and delicious Filipino food. Reminds me of my grandmas cooking back home. What shocks me is the fact that they charge their prices for so low and provide such quality meats and flavors beyond my own comprehension. I took my Brazilian friend here and he absolutely loved it. Place gets pretty crowded though, and sometimes it’s difficult to find a seat. if you’re looking for some good cheap Filipino food. This is it chief. I am disappointed by the lack of sanitation practices of the Fil-Am diner. If you decide to visit you will quickly understand. The Fil-Am diner advertises Best Kabobs. I disagree! The kabobs are the worst. The chicken kabobs were fatty, chewy, crunchy from bone gristol. The steam table was filthy and overflowing with food and this presentation was disgusting. I am positive this is my last visit.

This place has no amenities, however, they make really good Filipino food. They also have several BBQ meat on a stick options, none of which I ordered during this visit. I ordered the caldereta, which is a Filipino adaptation of a Spanish beef stew. It was good, but if you have any familiarity with this, you may know that they use a lot of oil. I also ordered the Pork Adobo, which was also really good. I interviewed for a job about 3-4 years ago at a place down the street from here, which is how I found out about this place originally. The food there is takeout only. The menu is not a large one, but the food is good, and judging from the line of Filipinos ordering something, they agree with me.

“Great staff and great food”Stopped by State Bird on a recent girls trip and couldnt have been happier. The Dim Sum style if fabulous, as is the food. What makes the place great though, is the staff. For the price, its good. Ive eaten pancit for years, made at home by Filipino associates, something is missing in this pancit, not as good as any Ive ever had. The BBQ chicken is good, though sometimes burnt. I give 2 stars for the poor attitudes of the workers(Ive gotten rolling eyes one time too many and sassy talk), and for them not sticking to their posted hours of operation. Chicken shish kabob is the reason for their long long line.I was in queue for an hour on Saturday... needed for a party.They need to raise their prices to shorten the line.
