Fil Am Oriental Market in Cathedral City

Great little Philippine/Asian market stuffed with all kinds of product. Also offering take out prepared food. You wont be disappointed. The only place I can find Thai Chilies. What a treasure! I love to cook, (and eat). If you love Asian/Thai, then this place has it all! From the outside you wouldnt think of patronizing this place. But inside they are a small grocery store packed to the gills with tons of unusual products. Unfortunately, I dont know how to cook with most of this stuff but thats okay since they also have a small assortment of cooked items for take-out or you can sit at a communal table and enjoy on site. I had lunch there and it was delish and affordable! I was also thrilled to see that they have quail and duck eggs. I have wanted to use them in the past but didnt know where to buy them. This is a small family run business. I am told that their son, who works at the store, drove in the Fast and Furious movie. I saw his car outside...take a look at all of my pictures. They tell you the story better than this review.

Nice little store. Some steam table items, adobo, pancit, fried mackerel. Very Filipino offerings. Also dried ramen soups with far out flavors. Bulalo is my fav. They have many spices and sauces. They do not have balikbayan box services to the pinas. Too bad.

Amazing little market with good prices and great selection. I was hungry and got the tinolang manok and it was so good I went back to ask for the recipe. Moon cakes also delicious.

First time shopping at Fil Am oriental market and the store was hard to find due to the entrance is actually located in the back along with its parking. Super disappointed, very limited selections on produce and most items were very overpriced. Staff were friendly though! Overall, I will probably not be coming back anytime soon.

Some of the kindest staff Ive ever met and extremely helpful. Ive been making phó for a couple years now. During the time, and many batches it took to get right, they gave tips and guidance while providing all the unique ingredients needed. Not to mention the mouth watering aroma of the food while you shop!

This is a hidden jewel in the valley. I was delighted to find not only ingredients to cook some of my favorite philopino and asian food, but the prepared foods are a must.Check it out and support local businesses ❤️

I was very pleased with the service and the products here. The staff were incredibly kind and kept a variety of goods I hadnt been able to get since i was last overseas. They were very reasonably priced. There is also a small restaurant attached with home cooked food.

Typical small Asian market, narrow aisles bad lighting and lots of things you dont have any idea what they are! An adventure. Staff is friendly and wants to help you find stuff. A Good resource for this area which does not have a large Asian market or community.

The only place to buy Asian food in the area. Good service. Fresh vegetables.
