I ordered the Salt and Pepper wings. They were burnt. I hate when places obviously burn your food and just serve it to you anyway. The pic looks lighter due to sunlight but the wings were super dark. I bite into it anyway just to see, and yes, burnt taste. I also ordered the Pad See Eww and it has a weird aftertaste. Not sure how it has 4 stars overall because the flavor of their food is not good. I dont taste any flavoring in the noodles. Barely any veggies in it. Mad I spent $40+. Busy B Thai is the best but unfortunately theyre closed for vacation.

Excellent lunch specials until 3pm weekdays. Large portions. Drunken noodles and Pad Thai are excellent. All the curries are wonderful. The Red Curry is the best. The large Thai tea is a summer favorite. Prices have changed charging more than needed for protein options, I usually avoid places that do this. Hoping it doesnt go any higher. This place is very good! Everything I have ordered is excellent.

I have been coming here since before the pandemic. During the pandemic, this place was my weekly go to and remains a favorite in our household. The food is fantastic and the customer service is wonderful. Prices are reasonable and they are quick to prepare your food! Only downside is the hours can be a little inconvenient but honestly I love this place and recommend it to others all the time! My favorite dish is the Kings Curry or the Panang Curry with sticky rice.

We had a bday party and ordered many orders of the best Yellow Curry in town. Grubhub delivered and fast at that. However one order had a long black hair in it. It was not from us as we all have gray hair or like me bald! We contacted Grubhub and they refunded us for the curry. I was so surprised at how nice they were. So rave reviews for Grubhub and I hope Finest Thai reads this and makes some needed changes in food cleanliness. I hope I can bring myself to go again...

Excellent take out. Emphasis on the “take out.” The food really is amazing; Tom kha soup and Panang curry, I highly recommend! But we were given plastic spoons and paper plates for dine-in. To earn 5 stars, please use actual silverware and dishware.

Small little hole in the wall with terrific thai food. Surprised the daughter and son in law with dinner, chicken patay, beef see ew, Rangoon (the best huge ones ever), shrimp fried rice. It was a hit with the kids. Huge portions, great flavor and fast and friendly service!

This is the most delicious Thai food! If you are a vegetarian or vegan, this is a great place to go. All of the dishes come with a choice of meats, mock duck, or tofu.The service was lovely, but this food deserves a better setting. The food is served with plastic silverware and paper plates, that is my only complaint! The people are lovely, and the food is fantastic!Do yourself a favor and order it to go and put it on fine China when you get home, because this food deserves fine China.

Hygiene problems cause me to rate at 1 star. They picked some things off the floor with the rag they clean tables with. Then they put the rag on the counter. Later I’m guessing the owner told the waiter to wash it. And he did. But no one clean the counter that rag was put back.At the same time, I noticed an open bag of floss. I’m guessing a customer clean their teeth and left it.I told the owner he needs to throw it away and disinfect the table.He took the bag of flosses and put it on the counter there serve the food from.Great! Dirty counter with rag find a new mate! SMHBTW, food was kinda greasy average. Nothing to write home about!

The services is pleasant and they are willing to accommodate allergies well. The Yum Nuar (beef salad) is AMAZING. A must-try and thats coming from a non-beef eater!The chicken satay and the fried tofu are also really good. Weve also tried the red curry. There prices are reasonable and theres plenty of parking all around. This is the Finest Thai in East County for sure!

Ordered a simple tofu fresh spring roll and saw that it was $9.00, which is a little on the high side for such an inexpensive dish. Thought to myself, Well, as long as its good and a decent size im fine with it. INCREDIBLY small rolls, barely enough to call it an appetizer and not a side. The taste was ok but it was still pretty disappointing in general.

Ive eaten here many times and the food has been delicious each and every time. The place doesnt look like much from the outside but the food is excellent and very flavorful.The food can be spiced on a scale from 1-10. The 5 is a solid medium so if you dont like spicy dont go that high. The portion size of the food is very good and a good value. If you are a big eater, you wont be left hungry but can finish the meal.

I don’t eat tons of thai food but this place is pretty good! their spring rolls are good but not the best i’ve had, really good fried tofu and really delicious peanut sauce, not overpowering. also tried their mango sticky rice and it was one of the best things i’ve had in a long time, definitely recommend that if you want something sweet and delicious

I got chicken skewers, papaya salad, and fresh spring rolls, to go. Their bathroom was very dirty I could see dirty knives laid out on counters in the kitchen. It had just opened, So I dont know how long they were sitting out. Spring rolls were very average, chicken skewers had a very weird after taste, papaya salad did not taste fresh, it smelled old, inedible.

I have eaten Thai food many times. Flavor was off, saw them microwave frozen fish in a residential microwave. Make Thai Tea with cow’s milk. I ordered a curry the menu stated is was made with coconut milk. I am lactose intolerant and eating the food I had problems. Re recently ordered off of Grub Hub app and found this place by searching for places that would deliver in El Cajon. This place was so yummy that we ordered from them the very next night! Sweet and sour chicken is the best! And so is the green curry. Give them a try. You wont regret it.

Wow, this place has changed a lot during the pandemic. I usually do takeout, so eating in was a bit of a change since the last time I ate in - was a couple years ago....and its been a while since my last takeout..All flimsy/cheap paper plates (put your hand under them), utensils, cups, and napkins. The whole thing screams cheap.The food quality has taken a bit of a hit to. Ok to good. Avoid fried foods, as they are over cooked. Pad Thai was heavy...not sure what they did..but only passable.Service is nearly self serve. Need anything, you will need to go to the counter to ask. For example, they will bring the food, but no plates at the same time.............We just recently found this place, and really liked it. Good value for the quantity and price of the food. Service was very good, but only one server (Monday evening, we were one of two tables while we were there).Food came very quickly.Im not a spice person, wife is. They offer to include the spices on the side if you like, and they have a scale for the food of 0-10, where 3 is a medium.My only complaint was the wigheads/golden shrimp (different names at different places) but the shrimp wrapped in noodles as a app. They were just a tad small, but then you get 5, probably need one more size up. My issue is more about the balance of flavor, and less about value.

Update: this used to be my most favorite Thai restaurant. Its been a while since Ive gone.I went today just for soup.The cashier tried giving me .17 instead of .75. I corrected her, then she still shorted me a dime.Count your change.Soup was still bomb though 😉I loved the curry and tom kha, and the service was great! Definitely a favorite!

Man, this place can be a hit or miss but when its a hit it is undoubtedly the best Thai food in the El Cajon Area if not in East SD. Ive had Thai food all across East SD and this one (despite them messing it up at times) is still my favorite. There is just this perfect balance of flavor and when you order it SUPER SPICY like I usually do, that flavor isnt sacrificed for the spice. Try the Prik King with beef or Basil chicken & always order it with a Thai ice tea

Finest Thai is by far the best Thai food place we have ever been to. All the staff there is always nice and helpful. Every time we eat there, the food is amazing! I did order a soup that had ginger in it, which I dont like, and I didnt notice so I didnt eat it, the manager saw that I didnt touch it and asked what was wrong, I told him I just didnt like ginger but that was my fault for not looking at the ingredients, he kindly offered to make me a new soup that I would like. Their portions are very generous as well, sometimes my husband and I will share a plate, but we always leave with left overs if we order our own. And their Thai tea is the best in El Cajon. We Love Finest Thai!

I absolutely LOVE this place. The food always tastes fresh and delicious, and the lunch menu is perfect for me. I like to taste a little bit of everything and the lunch specials come with a small soup, a small salad, one egg roll, one dumpling, a few fried wontons, and a main dish of your choosing (I always get the chicken Pad Thai). I would give zero stars if possible . I have been going to this restaurant for years and the change of staff made this place horrible. I ordered a Thai tea and was charged extra for coconut milk. To top it off, while I was waiting for my drink to be prepared a lady(a supervisor most likely) was arguing with an employee from next door about owing $1.00 for a drink. Really! When I received my order, there were no forks, no napkins. And when My Husband called about it, the clerk responded we only get those things by request. Lol. Really... Finest Tai charges 1.50 extra for sweet and sour sauce on an $18.00 order. At that price point you would have thought it was have been a medium size serving, however the container was so small the staff member gave me a larger size, out of sheer embarrassment that management had such tackey policies. The cashier even said please dont shoot the messenger as she was embarrassed to charge the inflated fee. The shrimp fried rice was bland and flavorless top it all off! The rice also contained large onions, which made the meal even more deplorable!The cashier and staff were very unprofessional, and dug rice out of a slow cooker using no gloves. Please take your business to Kips cafe a few miles down, if you want a quality meal and overall experience. I will not spend another dime in this low class DIVE.

Pleasantly surprised...Im generally very picky about my food, especially thai or sushi.Got the spicy chicken with noodles, asked for level 10. Very tasty, fresh, tons of flavor, not overly oily. Rice was good, just the right amount of stickiness. 👍The lady looked at me like I was kidding. Haha. Just moved to El Cajon from La mesa and this is as good as the Tamarind Thai in La Mesa. My go to thai place! I always get their red curry, very spicy 10 out of 10 and they give you extra flakes in case you need more. Lol I havent tried their Pad thai yet, but I will soon.

I ordered Yellow curry with Shrimp and Sweet and Sour Beef over the phone for pick up.When I walked in there were 2 ladies laughing and talking.When I approached the cashier she hurried to help me. She tore off the check from some bag of food on the table. Ordered Spicy Fried Rice. Got horrible non-spicy bland rice. Called and they said “I” am required to advise them of the spicy level. It does not say this anywhere, nor did they ask me, which would have stopped my issue. I called. The man was very inconsiderate. Asked for my name but didn’t listen. Told me he would call back but didn’t ask for number. Also, he did not call back. And on a side note, my Seet and Sour Pork was less than desired. I have had great luck here every other time, but tonight, the service was horrible horrible horrible! So, never again.

Weve been here idk how many times and constantly mean to leave reviews. Everything here is FANTASTIC! My husbands favorite is the seafood spicy noodle, mine is the chicken spicy noodle. He usually gets a 6/7 cuz he likes it crazy spicy, I get about a 4 because I want flavor with spice. The yellow curry is amazing. The 2 wait staffs were great, courteous and very patient with a table who seemed high maintenance and this annoying female customer who came to pick up her order with attitude from the moment she walked in. Id give 5 stars for the wait staffs, but the food I ordered wasnt even the right one. It tasted alright, nonetheless. I ordered Yum Woon Sen, my favorite, and what I got was glass noodles (which is correct for yum woon sen) seasoned the same as pad thai. Maybe they dont get too many orders besides pad thai. Ill still give them a try and see if they make other stuff correctly.

I ordered some Khao Piak Sen (Lao Chicken Noodle Soup). From the photo and the description in their menu it sounded like it would taste at the least something close to grandmas cooking. Well I was wrong, terribly wrong. For the amount the total should have only been $5, not almost $10. In the description it says House noodles made of rice flour. What it should have said is Pre-packaged microwavable Japanese udon. The green onion and cilantro were a dark greenish brown color, not fresh what so ever. Also to make it more interesting, for a place called Finest Thai I dont think there was a single Thai/Lao person working there. I asked for Khao Piak Sen w/ Leoud and looked at me like I was some mystical creature. All in all, probability of returning or recommending anyone to go here; Never.
