This incredibly underrated place checks all my boxes. Its close to my house, its reasonably priced, and its tasty as heck. They also put a ton of care into their food. I once ordered by phone and arrived 45 minutes later to pick it up (I got distracted by something...). They had thrown away my order because it was against their ethos to serve cold food. They actually made me an entirely new order and threw in some fish bones (which were PERFECT for making soup) for free. Even though it was my fault and even though they very well may have lost money on my order, they still took the high road and ensured that I was happy. I will be coming back here for days, weeks, and even maybe years!

Went out here with some buddies after a bike ride and I gotta say their dragon roll was delightful in my stomach. It had the right texture, taste, and flavor. The owner also was so kind to share some soju with us on the house. If you’re looking for some good sushi or fish and chips. This is the best place to go!

Great little fish place. Note, access only from side street, not Alvarado-Niles. Nice assortment with lots of non fish dishes as well. The staff is great, but the food seems to not be as fresh as I prefer.

Order 2 fish and chips, 2 spider rolls paid like $50 dollars. Thought fish and chips came with rice and salad, only received like a tiny bit of fries. No salad no rice for full price. Nothing wow about the food. Could of bought frozen fries and fish threw it in some oil and made my own. Woooomp 👎 definitely not going back.

This place is not good, and their online pricing needs to be updated. I still paid more than was posted online to give it a chance, but it’s overpriced for no reason!!! (food is bland, and looks nothing like the pictures.)

Bummer, I wanted to love this place since I just moved to the area. Maybe it’s better in the evening? Came for lunch. The woman was rude, cook was trying to help take the order. Tho it came out wrong regardless of both of them taking it. lol Beef teriyaki was super tough and gristley. Sides were wrong and my sushi roll was missing one of the main ingredients. And I felt like she over charged me somewhere.. Beef bento, cali roll with ebi on top and a soda was $38 expensive lunch for what I got.

I went because of all the hype. The atmosphere was terrible and the food tasted fine, but it was extremely oily. Also, the food is not cheap; it is just normal expensive food. A bowl of fried rice is $17 plus tip.

They owner gets upset if you ask for more wasabi. She walked over to my table and with her hands she took the wasabi out of my container. She was also working the register and never sanitized, washed, or changed her dirty gloves.The siracha was watered down and they are very rude if you ask them for anything. I will never go into this restaurant again. We left without any lunch that day. She offered a free meal and I refused because of sanitary issues. There are plenty of places that are sanitary and appreciate their customers. This place has really gone downhill.

I was in the mood for some good fish and chips and luckily found Chef Lims. Not only are their prices very reasonable, but the portions are very generous. I have a big stomach and I couldn’t finish my entire fish and chips with rice and salad platter. I ate it all anyhow because it was too good not to!The quality is outstanding and the friendly service from start to finish is refreshing. They have quite an extensive menu.

My coworkers and I just started going to this spot. a few times we received no forks or chopsticks. We asked for chopsticks and a woman pretended not to hear us and mumbled something about forks. I went in there recently to pick up our food and asked the owner for chopsticks & he responded “….chopsticks? You want chopsticks? But you guys don’t use them you just waste them.” Yo…. The awkward silence between the both of us after he made this comment was enough for me to never come back. If there’s a chopstick shortage let me know Lmao but don’t ever assume how I eat my food because I’m not your ethnicity.

Me and my friends come here two days a week after work and they really take care of us. Always friendly and fast without sacrificing taste. I have never left without feeling full from their portions. Chef is also a bonus, he always makes us laugh and talks with us when we come in. I recommend this place highly.

Extensive menu options from Benton box to sushi. Very large portion and great flavors. The lady at tbe register was very nice and helpful. Will definitely come back to try other options and sound someone yelp about the sushi cake.

Great little hole-in-the-wall. Big portions at killer prices. They arent trying to be fancy or offer a crazy long menu. The menu is pleasantly eclectic and very good (mackerel and cucumber/avocado roles are our family go-tos), but nothing will wow you over. Its a great anyday place for when you dont have the energy to cook, or the budget to be adventurous.

I love this place! they do get busy, however their staff are always nice, the cheff is a very kind generous man and talented, he cuts fishe patterns out of aluminum cans n makes some sort of wind chimes. Its my kid favorite spot!

And they are always so busy....But today of all days our order was so wrong.We ordered Fried. prawn dinner, got some prawns with a sauce on the prawns and no steak frinon the meal.We also ordered Deep Fried Fish (3 pcs) And got a fish called SWAI in some like egg batter. We did not care for the batter.To top the whole we also order (6 pcs) Deep Fried Prawns and Got Tempura prawns. ....My fault for not checking the order. But to make all 3 items wrong..... Repeated my order 2 times and she even repeated it back to me.First time around, the food was Great!👎

Its a very homey restaurant. Their prices for the teriyaki salmon is pretty good compared to some Japanese restuarant. I also really like their Lion King, Dragon Roll, Gyoza. A very hidden gem!
