Fishermans Restaurant in Crescent City

Came here at the in-between lunch and dinner hour near 4pm on a Tuesday. The service was friendly quick to get us seated and served. The local beer was good. We ordered the seafood fry basket and the fried fish/shrimp was so good (5 stars). The fish and shrimp tasted fresh and were just right (not over/under cooked) with a thin batter. The fries seemed to have old bay seasoning and were served hot out of the fryer. The best! The bowl of chowder was large with lots of clams, but heavily thickened. (4 stars). The calamari strips were underwhelming and the garden salad was not very green. (3 stars) Overall for a near the marina dining it was inviting and the decor was cute. The photos in the corridor to the bathroom were informative of the fishing possibilities and what natural disaster could be like from and at the marina.

Descent seafood. Excellent service. We ordered fried seafood combo and a shrimp salad. The seafood combo was pretty good with fried fish, clam strips and shrimp. The shrimp salad was a bit underwhelming as the shrimps were more like frozen shrimps rather than fresh ones.The service was friendly and tentative.The location was good, easy to find (right off the main road) but offers no view to the beach or ocean. There was a connected bar/pub that seem to have better view.

This place was so yummy. The sausage that was like chorizo was my favorite thing!! Omelet was huge and portions were large. The prices were a bit high but the food was good!

So at first glance we couldn’t even tell if the place was open. I left mom in the car while I went to check. They were open and we decided to give it a try. Really friendly staff greet you and we got a seat right away. I had the fish and chips (good choice) and mom had the clam chowder… I would say it was the best chowder we have ever tasted not sure they used cream but rather made a rue of flour and milk for their base. The place is a bit of a hole in the wall but try those fish and chips and know you will get good service

Delicious breakfast! We had a special (chicken fried prime rib) and the egg skins (potato skins filled with eggs and then smothered in gravy and cheese). So good!

Excellent fish and chips. Crunchy beer batter and juicy flakey fish on the inside. It was perfectly fried and prepared. The French team was also great with a biscuit and gravy in the side. We went for breakfast but they serve lunch items all day. So start the day with fish and chips, why not!?

Best Food in Crescent city. The waitress and food were so Awesome. If u ever come to Crescent City, come see this fabulous place the Food was Delicious, the atmosphere was awesome and ask to have Susan as your waitress. She was so polite and friendly and made us feel right at home. My Favorite Place In Crescent City. Come see them u Will Not Be Disappointed. Cant say enough about how great this place is. Come see for your self. Melt in your mouth food.

This is one of our favorite places in town. I have to say though it depends what you order, some menu items leave a bit to be desired, but most items are really good. My husband loves the chicken fried steak. They have good specials too. Good service, usually no wait for a table.

Fishermans restaurant was close to my hotel so it was a natural selection for dinner. As a clam chowder person, I thought this recipe was spot on. Be sure to stir it thoroughly for the full effect. Creamy and plenty of clams and flavor.Also. As a fish and chips fan, the example I was served was hot, crunchy, and fresh. The batter stays connected to the fish and is properly seasoned. The fries hot and crispy.My server was attentive and the order filled quickly. Definitely a nice place to visit if in the area!

I knew this must be the place because the parking lot is always full! It was! OMG good food. Had breakfast. Crescent City, California. 👍I’m coming back for lunch and dinner in the next week 😊
