The house made noodles have a nice chew to it and the service here is great. Althought I couldnt find the 5 colors (supposedly the noodles are made out of five different grains - corn, buckwheat, rice, sorghum and pea) that represent the 5 grains, the dish was enjoyed thoroughly nonetheless.

Recommend the snakehead fish rice noodle! The soup is tasty, the rice noodles are chewy, portion is large - very happy comfort food. They also have a special fig tea that tasted really good too.

Very good snakehead or swai fish noodles. There is pork ear, tendon n intestine. Eat peanut to coat teeth with oil to protect enamel before eating pickle. La Hán Quả fruit tea is good. Purple rice n red bean soup is a nice combination. Free floss would be nice, beef stick to the teeth.

Great little noodle house, unique 5 grain rice noodle with different toppings, including fish, pork intestines, and fatty beef. We tried beef and intestines, both were great.

They not only have fresh fish and super delicious soup base, they also offer the BEST service you will ever find. This is the only place I’ve been to that when asked for takeout boxes and bags, they open them up for the customers. Such attentive people!

Actually not a fan for their noodles, you have such good soup but really terrible noodles, sticky, not chewy and really destroys the experience. Not sure if this is my personal experience or just because it is too crowded today. I even can’t believe how this brand develops to this stage if the noodles are this level. If so, why not also offer the choice of classic Hunan rice noodles? For “Five grain” or “more healthy“?Also bit slow in taking order and serving, but they will be better soon on the serving. The manager explained they just in soft opening and the attitude is pretty good.

My husband and I love this place. We think of it as our lunch date place on Fridays when we both work from home. The soup is yummy and the noodles have a pleasant chewy texture. Ive tried every soup kind once. My favorite is the snakehead fish soup. The extra nice thing about the food is that it actually heats up well the next day. Usually, leftover noodles dont do well overnight. The service is fast and friendly; the place is clean. Big fan.

I ordered the original sliced beef noodle and it was just meh :(. The soup has no beef flavor and the meat quality is very subpar. The high lights were the complementary Lo Han Guo Red Date tea and the hot chili oil sauce.

It’s such a gem in Bay Area. Went there with friends and everyone was satisfied with the qualities and the service. The owner was so friendly when we entered. Right after we were seated, the nice herb tea was on the table. We ordered three different kinds of noodles, beef and fish, spicy and non-spicy, all of them were so good, the soup base was very tasty. We also tried several side dishes, they were all very fresh and just remind me the taste from home. I am sure they don’t use MSG in their dishes since I usually get headaches if I take MSG. But after finishing the soup and dishes, I didn’t feel thirsty nor headache! Definitely will go back again.

Updated: the owner read this review and replied the feedback. Got a chance to revisit the restaurant. Glad and surprised to see the change: they replaced the to-to box for adding more noodles! And it is significantly more! I can fill myself finally! This is an excellent example of accepting customer feedbacks and making improvements! Because I love noodle soups, I really appreciate the owner’s sincerity, carefulness, and hard working. This will be my frequent go to restaurant!! Kudos to the owner! Great job!Old review: It tastes good. However the portion is so small. Additional noodles $3 is even tiny portion. I am still hungry after finishing it with additional noodles. So $20+ for such a small bowl of noodles isn’t a good value.

I really enjoy the authentic Chinese noodle there, yummy and healthy. Their brand name tells their story the best, it is five grains. The people there is very warm and attentive. will come again with family and friends. I feel lucky, there is such a place nearby, really convenient.

Really nice new place with nice decor, engaged staff and delicious noodles.We ordered 2 customer favourite noodle soups with snakehead fish: milky soup with pickled vegetables and spicy soup with vinegar. Both were delicious. As mentioned in other reviews, the noodles were nice and chewy, and the restaurant brings them in from China. The fish is well seasoned and, together with the noodles, absorb the flavour of the soups. The noodles also comes with quail egg, tofu and mini deep fried tofu puffs.They also serve roasted peanuts, pickled daikon and lohanguo drink on the side.Im happy to have another great option in the neighbourhood and well be back.

My first time trying the Five Grains noddles. Five grains noodles have different kinds of noddles mixed together. It sounds strange but it tastes amazing surprisingly. The noodles are made fresh and cooked al dante. The soup is rich and delicious. I have an original flavor fish stock with good amount of boneless fish pieces, vegetables, and quail egg. Although it’s fish based flavor but it’s not fishy at all. For those who like to drink soup will be delightful to the generous portion. The seating is comfortable and spacious. They have also spicy five grains and tomato soup based five grains.

I went to eat the most ordinary tilapia noodles at noon today, without adding anything, just to see if this restaurants noodles are as good as others said. To be honest, I was not very impressed. The amount of powder in the bowl was just a little more than a chopstick. Adult men must add more powder, otherwise they would not be full at all. The noodles are not cooked well and are too hard. The store environment is very clean and tidy, and the service attitude is also very good.

Rice noodles are often available, but five-grain rice noodles are not.I tried it on the recommendation of a friend, and it was indeed extraordinary.
