This was my second time at the flame broiler. Ordered a chicken plate with no rice just extra veggies instead and it was a pleasant surprise. I wasn’t really expecting much but let me say it was good on flavor and the meat felt juicy and fresh. Also the veggies. Very generous in size and the sauces are extraordinary.

This place has the absolute worst customer service Ive ever experienced. The owner/manager/whoever he is leads by example, and is completely devoid of any courtesy or politeness. And if/when they do manage to employ someone else to work at the register, theyre equally unpleasant, so it must be part of the interview process.If you want to skip carrots, be ready to be charged for extra broccoli. Dont want extra broccoli? Just want to... skip carrots? Too bad, fee for extra broccoli. Want some extra sauce? Sorry, hard limit on amount of tiny sauce cups. They charge $13 for some rice and tofu, but apparently cant swing the cost of throwing in an extra 1 oz of fake sriracha.It always stings me to give this place business, and I think Im done. But if you ever want to get food from a spot that makes DMV employees seem charismatic by comparison, all to the obnoxious sounds of Christian rock music playing too loud in the background, this is the Flame Broiler for you!

This particular location gives me a bad experience! Not friendly service, rude owner/server, no smile...short sentence when answering...no chopsticks!, napkin there!...on top of it, no eye contact, no smile, no gesture of they appreciate my business! Guess what? I am not going back there! I was pissed!

Im in shock at the audacity of this business. I ran in for lunch, 2 guys in the back - obviously busy - no other staff, no big deal. Im standing at the front counter, one guy walks out from the back with to go orders and starts yelling peoples name and looks at me and yells MOVE..... Alrighty, I step back and dont say anything - I was just standing at the register to order....Then he looks at the guy behind me and tries to take his order to which he responds that Im next. UNBELIEVABLE. He starts barking at me and at this point I just dont trust eating here.HORRIBLE guy here. There was no reason AT ALL for his attitude. READ THE YELP REVIEWS - they all say the same thing! Go to El Pollo Loco - same parking lot at the very end....

Long wait. Water tastes bad! I told the guy if I can exchange it for a bottle of water and he complicated it. He then didnt hand our crew the sauces and just threw them in front of us as if we were dogs or something. We all felt disrespected but didnt make it a big deal since it was one of our birthdays. The guy who took our order had very bad attitude and was angry the whole time.

I usually come to this place at least once a week since it is so close to my job. The food is good but the customer service definitely needs improvement. The other day I walked in and I was literally standing at the register ready to order for like 5 minutes. No one acknowledged me no one said anything. So I ended up walking out with no food 🙁

Had to move my 3 stars down to 1. To get this out of the way first, the food is fine and the price is fine so 4 stars for that. The customer service is horrific. They dont have enough workers so the boss aka the cook/cashier seems to hate his life and take it out on his customers. He looks angry and God forbid you take more then 3 sec to order then he really doesnt like it. He needs to quit or get more help. Thats all

Food here is always good. The guy at the front was super fast and friendly. They are still not allowing any dine in, so I had to eat my food in the car which was fine. I ordered the chicken bowl with veggies. The chicken was super moist and tasty.

I really like Flame Broiler tofu bowls. When Im feeling a big health kick, I do a tofu bowl with brown rice and veggies. The sauces are on the side so you can control how much or how little you want.This location is on the end of a mall so parking is not a problem. Whats also cool about this place is they have Christian music playing all the time. Awesome to get my worship on while I eat.

This 2* are for the food, not the best, but fills up the belly. I had the mini ball with tofu.The chino working at the front desk needs to take customer service classes (a lot of classes). He forgets that the customers are the ones that keep his business open, pay for his bills, mortgage, clothing, food and college education for his offspring (if he has any).He shouldnt be at the register if his patience is scarce. Instead he should wash dishes or help the cook. Every client is just as important, it doesnt matter if someone buys 8 chicken bowls and someone else gets a mini bowl.

Ordered 4 combo bowls to go on Sunday at 1:30. My MIL opened her bowl and found large black hair in it! Gross! She has short blond hair. My bowl had chopped bone in it! Wear hair nets and check for bones!

The food is good but sometimes I feel a little rushed when ordering. Its hard to tell the bowls apart when you order more than one as they dont mark which one is which. I even got handed the wrong order once. So make sure you double check your order before you leave

BE AWARE: The proprietor charges extra for vegetables.I usually order a mini bowl with rice and vegetables at the location on Carson St. When I ordered the same item at this location, on Hawthorne Blvd., I noticed, on my receipt, the proprietor charged me an additional fifty cents. The proprietor has this stated on a plaque on on his wall - which is below all the larger wording on the plaque - for charging extra for vegetables if one is not ordering a regular bowl. I believe this establishment is nickle and diming its customers. Be aware of what you order and check your receipt afterwards at this establishmenton Hawthorne Blvd. in Torrance.

The price is right, especially with a coupon. Its much better than fast food. Better tasting and better for you, nutritionally speaking. Service is fast. One may also call in ones order. Theres free parking, but it is a little hard to find. Great value and quality.

Ordered my food at 1:47 pm and received my food at 2:30 the owner said he was short handed. In my opinion Thats why you need to have more than just 1 chef just in case one of then calls in and for the owner to help out. He didnt k ow what he was doing. He was messikng up orders. Even the lady in front of me asked the cashier she wanted her money back.

The Asian lady is completely unprofessional. Im standing there waiting to place an order. Shes arguing about the food with the cook ignoring the customer line. I said hello can I please place my order and she continues to ignore me and argue with the cook. I was louder and finally she comes back to the cashier and acts as if she didnt ignore us the entire time. Extremely unprofessional and rude. I ended up leaving since I cant tolerate such bad customer service and was not going to enjoy my meal. Work on your customer service skills and if you refuse to acknowledge your terrible behavior quit.

Actually had no problem with the food, it looked good and their not light on the servings. My problem was when the owner gave his personal opinion on whats healthy and not healthy for me then other customers chimed in on it. It was quite embarrassing and unprofessional. I dont care if something is unhealthy for me, its my decision to eat it.

I go here regular because its close to work, its usually fairly priced but today I got what I usually get but it costed $1.50 more to add veggies....honestly thats over priced for mostly cabbage and carrots and barely any broccoli. Also I got at least two pieces of what I hope is chicken skin, its very chewy and just not edible....

The food is okay, but they only give you flimsy plastic forks to eat it with. I dropped like half my food on the table. The radio was really annoying, too; they had really bad Christian music playing the whole time, and the speakers are behind ceiling fans, so the sound wavered irritatingly. 2 stars because their sauces are really good.

I tried the beef bow, with the typical rice at the bottom and the meat on top, it was decent. the meat was a bit dry and chewy but dont get me wrong it was not bad. perhaps a bad day in the kitchen. Will try again and get a different item and see how that goes .

A healthier alternative for traditional fast food, The Flame Broiler provides tasty teriyaki chicken and beef bowls with veggies and white or brown rice. They also offer tofu now but as the food is all prepared on the same surface vegetarians and vegans may find the odd piece of meat among their tofu.

I like flame broiler but its sometimes a gamble whether or not that youll get good chicken thats cooked right. Every now and then, the food is just right and sometimes it just falls short where the chicken is slightly pink and thats a no-no for me.
