I’ve been to this restaurant a few times with my parents and it’s my favorite place for Indian food. Great atmosphere, conveniently located on Ventura Blvd. and of course the food has been superb each time. We ordered Vegetable Korma, Chicken Tikka, Vegetable Samosas, Saagpaneer, Mix of Tandoori and finished the meal off with Kheer. Wonderful family restaurant, we will always come back to.

Their food caters to the Western taste palette. It is not very authentic Indian food.The chicken salad hardly had any chicken pieces, it had mostly veggies and tofu.The gravies of the butter chicken and makhni paneer dishes were literally the same, hardly any difference in taste.The garlic naan was dry and with too little garlic on top of it, it felt like a regular dry naan.The sangria and the virgin magarita was nice.It was just okay kind of food nothing memorable nor worth visiting it again.

Our go to take out for Indian food! We haven’t gotten the chance to actually dine in but plan on it sometime in the near future. The people are always friendly over the phone and food is always made well. No complaints so far, and we’ve been getting take out for a solid couple years now.

My wife and I have been trying to find a favorite Indian restaurant close-ish to our house to become our regular go to. We tried Flavor of India last night and it was a mixed reviews between the two of us.She always gets Chicken Tikka Masala and she loved it. I usually get Lamb Vindaloo and I was meh about it. It was spicy, but not throughout, if I got a pepper in my forkfull it was really spicy, but otherwise the vindaloo was rather sweet. The flavor didnt develop throughout the entire curry until the next day when I had what was left for lunch. Lastly, Im not sure what is normal with portion size but I only got 6 medium pieces of lamb, if thats normal thats fine, but I was hoping for a bit more lamb.But I really like the Naan she got, it might have been Garlic Naan. The Naan was not too crunchy and not too puffy so it worked perfectly to use as the vehicle to get food off the plate to the mouth. I want to say it was rubbery but understand that its not a negative in the slightest, because it was so glutenous it really held onto the food and flavors of the curry. The portion size was decent. I only picked up the food but I enjoyed what little interaction I got from the staff.Overall would I go here again? YesWould I recommend that people go here? Yes if they like Indian food.Is it my favorite Indian restaurant Ive been to? No, Im still on the journey to find my favorite place.

What caught us immediately when we walked in was the amazing fragrance of an Indian kitchen! we were going to order take out but the vibe and ambience was so relaxing and the smells so delicious, we stayed. our order was the chicken Tikka and lamb korma and both did not disappoint. I was a little bummed that we had to order a separate order of rice for an additional $3.95 (in my opinion, 14.00 to 16.00 entrees should come with rice) but the food was delicious. having a Groupon also helped. we enjoyed our dinner and will definitely come back.

Atmosphere, hospitality, spice spectrum: Flavor of India has it! What blows my mind is how Tonya remembers names & faces. Have been here a handful of times and have always had great service, playful banter w/ the staff all with a delicious meal. Youre lucky if you get one of the three. I recommend the Lamb Korma & Garlic Naan. When youre done youre taste buds will thank you. After that, thank Tonya and the chefs!

This is without doubt one of the best Indian restaurants in Los Angeles. You are always greeted with a smile, offered water whilst waiting for your take away,, and occasionally a complimentary papadam with accompanying condiment.The dining room is comfortable with a soothing atmosphere, and the kitchen organized and efficient. The chicken korma flavorsome, with a creamy sauce and the rice clean and light. It is thoroughly authentic and worthy of many return visits.

Excellent. Just like the location on Sunset. The lunch specials are delicious (varies, but typically served with dal, salad, white rice & naan). The saag paneer and the chicken tikka masala are two of my favorites. Service is spot-on and the interior space is beautiful. I wish they still served the lunch buffet, but unfortunately, its no longer an option.

This is a decent Indian restaurant with branches in Burbank and Sherman oaks. The menu is a typical Los Angeles Indian menu . The dishes are well made and the portions are reasonable for the price. Service was friendly and confident, comma and we got a good value all the way around. I dont know if its back at its prior level, but I know the Burbank branch used to have a really good lunch buffet.

It was a great experience overall. Great food, very nice service. Rajan, the guy that was helping us, was extremely helpful, always in sight, very involved with the service. He was willing to answer all of our questions abut the menu, and help us choose food according to out food preferences. He really went aboard beyond to make us feel at home. And food was just as great! Will definitely go back to eat there and explore more of indian cuisine.

The service was the best I’ve had in years. The waiter named Deep was so welcoming and really made me feel genuinely taken care of for anything I wanted. I’m vegan and he catered to all my needs, and even brought me the best coconut ice cream I’ve ever had in my LIFE! It was so unique and tasty with the added spices inside the ice cream. The worst, the worst, the worst. Nightmare customer service. Be aware if you did not have a vaccination card, they won’t let you in. 0 star. I reserved it 24 hours in advance, and we didn’t know we have to show a vaccine card, and we didn’t want to seat outside. We went to a restaurant last week, and we were not asked for a vaccination card. This restaurant was the worst so far. I told the waitress we are vaccinated, but she didn’t believe. I was gonna refer my friends, but I will never do that.

The place is quite and clean. I got an Indian beer which tasted ok. I ordered lamb curry and a plate of rice. The rice was cold and the curry didnt have sauce or gravy. The flavor was good and the lamb was also well cooked. The portions were also reasonable. The service was good however the waiter seemed serious with no smiles which made me feel like I was a unwanted guest. Overall its ok and its good for one try out. The restaurant opened at 3pm..I met with two friends there..at 3pm the place was being cleaned ..the outside patio was being mopped..and we couldnt be seated right away. We were informed by their male staff that the place wasnt ready..there was no one there just us three..we were seated after 15 minutes menus was delivered beverages came right away..We ordered vegetables samosas...it was delivered fresh and delicious..we ordered individual Thali and Chicken Vindaloo ..both the Thali variety and the chicken dish was excellent...all the right measure of spices in the food we ate ...all in all it was a good dinning experience. ..highly recommend this place..The parking is a bit of a challenge..street parking on Ventura Blvd if there is a space to park is a bit of luck..we all chose to park on the side streets off Ventura Blvd..read the parking signs .we read parking is limited to 2 hours unless you have a permit then you are exempt from the two hours....

Ive been here twice. Once with just a few friends. We ordered the standard: chicken korma, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, curries. All pretty good. Its lighter on the flavors, so youre not overwhelmed. Its not everyones thing, but I enjoyed it.What I really loved was the service. I had a large birthday dinner here and took up their entire indoor patio-type space. It was really fun and they accommodated the entire thing. I had a birthday cake set up in the middle of the space and they brought out the knives and plates to serve everyone.The owner was super polite and kept asking what we needed, including moving tables and chairs around when we needed. Great place to hold an event.

This place used to be super cheap yet with decent cooking. Quality has dropped as price went up. Just about every curry is padded with potatoes. The yogurt (raita) is thin and really sour - like gone vinegary. The cooked veggies look like what did not sell in the grocery section, camouflaged with overcooking and hot spices. With all that said, it is probably the cheapest place in L.A. for Indian food. So what do you expect?

The best Indian food in Studio City! It’s incredibly tasty and for the most part very healthy. The majority of the dishes are gluten-free (naturally, no substitutions) and are clearly labeled so. Very convenient. Very nice restaurant. Good service, very relaxed atmosphere. Good Indian music and Bollywood movies on the screens. I thought that was a very nice touch. I highly recommend the tandoori shrimp, chicken tikka masala, mirchi tikka (chicken) and aloo gobi (cauliflower and potato curry). Very light and flavorful, except for the chicken tikka masala, which is rich and very tasty. They have a lunch buffet that’s very well done. Good selection of dishes. Excellent delivery service. Saag is one of my favorite Indian dishes, its very healthy. Mostly green vegetables pureed with onions and other spices. Nice thing about saag you can combine any leafy green vegetables. Delicious!

This place is pretty cool. They have an enclosed patio area with nice lighting, although I went here with my sister it seems like a good spot for a date. The food was good, maybe lacking a bit of salt and I always think its annoying when rice is not included with the entrée, that said I would still come here again.

I love love love this place. the owner is the nicest Guy and the customer service is excellent. the best time to go is during the lunch buffet which is from 11:30 am to 3:00 pm Monday-Sunday. the buffet usually offers tikka masala, tandoori chicken, naan, rice, vindaloo fish, spicy lentils, mixed green salad, fruit and tons more (sometimes saag). the ambience is pretty chill with a lot of open space and water fountain that can really set the mood in the evenings. this is the best Indian restaurant in LA hands down.

Ive always liked this place. I went to watch a show at the Troubadour and was so hungry. So, before I went to watch the show, I stopped by here.I needed something fast and filling. The owner Darshan just asked me what I usually eat and such and I told him and BOOM!They brought out Chicken with the curry sauce that was AMAZING and garlic naan. FAST. Great India Cafe sits near the top of my favorite Indian restaurants. The chicken tikka masala slaughters my taste buds with flavor, and the paneer makhani is even better. The naan is also especially good. I find the service to be excellent, and sometimes they even bring out complimentary dishes of chutney or rice pudding. I love it.

Being a vegetarian I ate malai kofta in may different places. It is most sold vegetarian curry. I have not ate such a disgusting malai kofta till now. I know indian restaurants make all the curries Americanized. But they completely changed the recipe. Koftas were very hard. I am pretty sure they are serving food stored in days. I do not recommend this restaurant. There are many other decent restaurants around LA.

Had a great lunch today. Chicken rasal FTW. I noticed that the service on refilling water was a little slower today but I assumed it was because I was there during lunch. Might be worthwhile having an extra person in on a lunch shift. Still a 5 star establishment though!
