I Really Really wanted to give this place a great rating for my 1st experience with them but, they messed up my favorite Chinese dish. Singapore noodles had absolutely no flavor or seasoning whatsoever. Singapore noodles are usually so packed with curry flavors and spices that I eat them plain with no soy sauce or liquid amino. Unfortunately, not these noodles. I could have actually added table salt they were so plain. My guy got beef & broccoli 🥦 and his complaint that it was way more broccoli than beef. I asked him how was his food because it was my idea & my treat and we drove across town specifically to try their food. His response Its ok. Not what I like to hear after spending $51 bucks on takeout food for the weekend. Potstickers were good but, there was no potsticker sauce for me. Only Chinese Musrd that I dont care for at all and some chili oil based sauce that didnt work. My Man had to pull out his sweet & sour sauce & soy sauce from the pantry for me to try & enjoy this meal. I also ordered Chinese Chicken Salad which was missing a few ingredients like toasted sesame and peanuts that add to the flavor of the dish. This salad was a huge bed of iceberg lettuce topped with sliced battered chicken cut into slices with the sweet clear dressing that you pour on yourself. Sorry Flower, not My Fave... We are used to more elevated flavors when we order Chinese so you can eat it without saucing it up and it tastes great without being doctored up.

My personal favorite chow mein compared to all other Chinese food restaurants in Fresno. Been living here all my life, and no one matches how they make their food. Truly a gem of Chinese cuisine, and the portions are guaranteed to fill you up. Love how fast and on point they are for their orders too.

This place is to go only. We live about 25 mins away, and our food was still hot. I just got pork fried rice and pork Chow mein and they were delicious. We also got the Kung pao beef and orange chicken. They were all delicious. The price overall was cheaper than what weve paid anywhere else.

This is my go-to place for affordable take-out Chinese food. Big portions and not too greasy (that is the only way I can judge good from bad Chinese food) at a decent price. Not the nicest place inside, but great for take-out. We have tried many things on the menu and they have all been solid.

Sweet and sour chicken and pork over pan-fried noodles. The chicken was crisp and not all that tough nor flavorful, but the noodles really ruined the plate for me. Really weird aftertaste in my mouth with wayyy too much sauce for the serving size.Serving size was very reasonable though.

Great food and fast service!I wanted to give it 4 stars because I thought it was a little expensive but that was really my own fault. If you are looking for a dinner for 1 look at the menu in the restaurant, I dont think their take out shows the cheaper options.That being said I have to give this 5 stars because although what I bought was $12 it was definitely enough to feed 2 if not 3. The orange chicken was of the best I have ever had and Ive had a lot of Chinese food. The portion was very generous and I was very satisfied.

A family favorite. Hassle free cheap Chinese. I have literally watched the kid behind the counter grow up. Not the best food in town, definitely not the worse. Not a disappointment in 15 years. Best to call in your order. Can get pretty busy on the weekends. Dine-in is pretty much nonexistant.

Im pretty sure this is a pick up only operation. Very large portions and very taste. And the people are very nice. Also for people like my wife who is crazy and will only eat white meat, I swear she is not racist, you substitute white meat chicken in all the dishes for like $1.25. But obviously dark meat is better and only crazy people like white meat better

For a long time I used to love this place. I started ordering food from them in 2001 and there food used to be top of the line until I was getting ready to call up and place an order and this friend of mine showed me pictures of his food order with a cockroach in it and for me that ends it right there. Sad but after over 21 years I wont be ordering anymore food from F.C.R.

Everything that was deep fried had a horrible acrid bitter taste. Im not sure if their oil or batter used was old or something, but we ended up just immediately throwing everything that was deep fried out because it tasted foul.

I’m confused! I ordered Kung Pao Chicken and it looks like Kung Pao Chicken but it has a sweet sauce on it. The Chicken is dried out with little spice. As always there is enough left over for the next day but I don’t want anymore. Thank goodness that I also ordered pot stickers or I would have had to eat more of this. 😒

Ive been coming here for nearly 35 years. The food is consistently good and the service always warm. Ive eaten better Chinese food at fancy restaurants in the Bay Area, but this place is the best for cheap, quality takeout. I live miles away now but always come back.

Flower City has been out go-to take out place for 20+ years. Their orange chicken is some of the best in town, and we literally did and side by side by side test with some of the higher rates places in town. Special chow mein or Special fried rice is the way to go as well. Have never been disappointed.Staff is and has always been friendly and polite. Ill drive across town to get take out from here. Excellent food that has stood the test of time.

The owners here are really nice folks. The food is pretty much what youd expect for takeout both in price and quality. I used to visit it more but since Im diabetic I have to be very careful my consumption of noodles and rice. Ill have to make visit again and then perhaps update this review.

If you want tummy happiness, this is the place to be. I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken bowl with the sauce on the side, it was so yummy, did I mention it was yummy ? I absolutely love this place. It gets busy on weekends so order ahead. Prices are fair and the servings are good size. The pork fried rice so far is best in Fresno in my opinion. If you dont like flavorful chow mein and you like the plain sloppy goo like the other places dont order that here. I hear the orange chicken is awesome however its spicy. (I cant do spicy) The black mushroom is phenomenal. This is go to Chinese when I get a craving. Ive tried lots of other places and this is one of the two I visit. Try it out and love it!

Went to this restaurant the other day honestly it isnt that good. I had ordered an L6 w/ some Broccoli beef on the side. The fried rice was dry, the orange chicken was OVERCOOKED and was hardly any chicken it was mostly just hard crispy fried pieces. It was unpleasant. the chicken in the chow mein was bland and the Broccoli beef wasnt good. The food seemed like it was just there all day.

Before you come here just be aware-they dont do dine-in. They do mobile orders now only, and the lady working there will bite your head off if you dont sit patiently for forty minutes for your order. She really yelled at a customer because he had been waiting for over half an hour for his food, and I cant believe she works there. What kind of restaurant allows their workers to yell at customers Im busy, youll have to wait for your order? Do everyone a favor and quit your job if youre so miserable you cant handle stress.

As a regular at Flower City was very disappointed at my last few orders over the past months. I always order Chicken Chop Suey Chow Mein. Lately the veggies and chicken are very scarce, mostly all noodles. Since theyve raised their prices I expected to get more for my money not less. Time to find a new place for Chinese food!

I heard from the Pico De Gallo resteraunt next store that they might be relocating. If so im sure there business will follow. Sue was extremely attentive answering our questions about the menu. As we ate in, she brought us our meal and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious. The Moo Shu Shrimp was served with four delicate crepes, wow! It was so good my hubby ate plenty of it. The price was very reasonable given the size of the plate. This has become my go to neighbor take out or simple eat in Chinese restaurant. Thank you Flower City for having a great kitchen.

Flower City is a hidden gem in my opinion. Most people I talk to dont know about it but its amazing. I love their cashew nut chicken over noodles due to the variety of vegetables and chicken and they tend to make their noodles on the crisper side.

Flower City is one of those little treasures you love having in your neighborhood. They dont deliver, but they do fast and usually accurate take away. You can eat in, though theyre very small. However, the food is always worth it, wherever you decide to consume it. My favorite appetizers are the brandy chicken wings and the potstickers, though a close third would be their crab Rangoon. They are one of the few places where I equally like the noodle dishes and the rice dishes, and their wonton soup is my husbands favorite. Still, pretty much everything Ive had there thus far has been great, although on a few occasions the egg rolls have come out a little greasier than I like, but one of my best friends always seems to love them, so that may just be my particular palate. Whatever you have, I highly recommend Flower City restaurant for really great Chinese food and always friendly service from their staff.

I never liked Chinese food growing up. My husband tried to take me to a few places and they were ok. Then my husband said, You have to try mushu pork. I know just the place for it. Well he brought me to Flower City. And I have to say, Amazing cuisine! The mushu pork is fabulous! I always get extra sauce and extra crepes you get a lot and its worth every bite! Since that fateful day Ive tried more of their amazing menu of delectable dishes.You must try Pork in spicy garlic sauce over noodles! Mongolian beef! Broccoli beef! Orange chicken! Pot stickers! I travel for work and have eaten at Chinese restaurants all over the United States, and this place by far was the worst I had. I couldnt even enjoy my meal and had to throw it away. I told family I visited while I was in town that I had eaten there and I was told I was crazy. I went off the Google reviews which were high but you cant believe everything you read. One of my favorite places to eat in Fresno I highly recommend the teriyaki chicken over noodles cost about $9 more than enough sometimes me and my friend share one plate soda machines been down the last month or so so they sell bottled soda but the staff is always friendly easy to understand and theyve never messed up my meal once I love this place
