We really enjoyed our visit to Folsom Palace. The servers were friendly and attentive. The food was FANTASTIC! Everything is made to order and excellent. My wife even ate two dumplings and she never likes dumplings. We will be back for more!

Food has been excellent. I have gone to eat here for lunch a few times now with a coworker and roughly pay 15- 20 per meal. You wont be disappointed. Great choice.

My whole family enjoyed this meal, particularly my parents who havent found a favorite Chinese food restaurant since moving here 8 years ago. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The restaurant was tidy and nicely decorated. I ordered to go and was pleased to see that Folsom Palace uses cardboard containers rather than plastic. The portions were generous. Delicious! We look forward to going back.

Come here like twice a week love it. Best restaurant ever. And now I take my girlfriend here. This restaurant the building is amazing and so beautifully decorated here.And the food is next level delicious. I recommend you come and give it an honest try. I usually get an entree and 2 ordered steamed rice. also like the hot sour soup I usually get a large.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in Folsom. I have eaten dozens of items off their menu and have enjoyed everyone of them. All the sauces are on point. The Chow Mein is easily some of the best I have ever had. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This meal really hit the spot. I’m new to the area and haven’t had Chinese food out here until tryin Folsom Palace. We got lemon chicken, orange chicken, and pork fried rice. Both of our chicken entrees were very good. The lemon chicken had a very rich and creamy sauce with good lemon flavor. The orange chicken was a good balance of orange bitter and sweet tastes. We called on the phone. The service was fast and food was ready when I got there. Still hot when I got home. Pretty satisfied and will return soon.

I consider myself a Chinese food conesseuir and lemme tell ya, this place hit all the right buttons.Hot and sour soup was maybe the best I ever tasted. Hot to sour ratio was perfect! Very hard to achieve this.Sweet n sour chicken was crispy and not too much sauce.Chow mein was very flavorful and not too many veggies.Service was great, humble young waiter quick with the refills.All told, I wish I lived closer but will eat here when in folsom!

This is on a Saturday night. We checked in at 8.55pm. They close at 9.30pm. As soon as we entered, a staff was helping us to get us seated at a table. Another staff comes out and informs that they cannot accommodate dine in. We have to do a take away. They were not courteous, the way they communicated this to us. We felt unwelcome. This is the second bad experience we had at Folsom Palace, so decided to leave this review. We went to Thai Style a block away who gladly accommodated us and we ended up having a hearty dinner. Left Thai Style at 9.40pm.

We dined in around 3pm on a Thursday. They were empty and quick to get a table. The food was good but service was minimal. They gave my 2 year old a cup meant for adults filled to the brim with lemon ice water. Asked for a small cup with way less water and no lemon. Was given a to go soup Styrofoam bowl filled to the top with water. Still was way to full and then flimsy for my toddler. They were constantly on their cell phone and I had to go find them to get any help. This was for the water, a box to go, and then also the check. We were the only customers in the restaurant and had zero customer service. If you want good service order to go, because they were quick to get those customers taken care of.

We were thoroughly impressed for a long time with this place. Could always count on great food. Then every other time we came here it was mediocre… the last time we ate here which was just a couple of weeks ago, and they messed up our order. But we said, that can happen and the owner credited us for the chow mein they forgot. That night and the couple of times before that, the food must have been made with msg. I had the worst stomach pains all night. I must be gluten for punishment. I love Chinese so of course we go to have it again tonight! Our fault for ordering on Christmas but most of us are ill and making dinner wasn’t in the cards. We ordered what I thought was early because we ordered at 430. But I get a call from someone at the restaurant saying it won’t be ready until 5:20. My husband already left to pick up our order so he was just going to waste time. He arrived to find that our order was not ready but hey it’s Christmas and they were busy but when it came to be 5:40, I called. Was told sorry it’s busy and would be another 10 minutes. I told them how disappointed I was because I was called to be told 5:20 and my husband had been waiting for the food unacknowledged and without being informed of the further delay. It is now 5:50 and still no food. We will have to find another place. I am so saddened. I cannot imagine patrons inside were waiting over an hour for their food. Unfortunately the service and the disappointment in food quality lately leaves us finding a new place.

I generally love folsom palace. But of late their dishes are too salty!!!! The calamari sure will spike up my blood pressure and the rest of the dishes left bad state in my mouth. Ive been ordering it recently as I thought it was a one off but sadly no such luck...all three times it was salty.. twice for take away and once dining in.. Common guys, you can do better. Did the chef change?

Wow! Super good. I started with the hot and sour soup. It wasnt the best Ive ever had but was still very good. The chow mien was the real highlight. If you can imagine this, it had a buttery, almost...grilled taste. The rest of the dish was excellent too (General Chicken). Large helping, tasty sauce, perfectly cooked chicken.

This is my new favorite restaurant! I cant wait to come back and try everything on the menu. Latterly everything sounded so good. Pretty extensive menu as well. High quality food prepared very well. Lots of crispy/fried options which I love. Only complaint is that I ordered crem cheese crab puffs and they forgot them (was not charged). So that part sucked. Service was really good though!

One of my favorite Chinese restaurants. Classy with white table cloths. Outside seating available. Dont be in a hurry because everything is made fresh and hot, and that takes time. Favorites are chow mein and honey walnut prawns. The fried rice is not to my taste, although others in my group enjoyed it.

In the past I really liked this restaurant, but I haven’t eaten here in awhile. I was told that there is now a new owner. That was after I specifically asked, as I noticed things didn’t seem quite the same. I have to say I didn’t care for the food this time. The Beijing chicken was fairly meaty and had good flavor, though not great tasting. I’m not sure if my opinion was altered, due to that I had recently been in several areas of China and had experienced good Chinese food while there. I do appreciate that they use tablecloths. You do have to chop sticks if you desire to use them.

General Tso chicken with chow mein had a lot of sauce without being overly salty. The first couple bites had a tangier taste than I normally like but it grew on me. The chicken was crispy- not too spicy- and the broccoli was fresh. The hot and sour soup was fantastic as was the service. Will be back!

Have eaten here several times. However the extremely poor service compelled me to provide a poor review. Note they were not busy. Started with no water and waiting to order. Soup was not served but simply placed on the table. Mooshu pork was not served. The patties had old rice on them. Had to ask for water refill. No fortune cookies with the bill.. The one main server did have 10-15min to talk to a regular customer. Food was good, but without service I will find another place.

How about ZERO stars?!A couple months ago we rushed over there to make the 3pm cutoff for lunch. Only to be told they had no chow mein nor fried rice for the lunch combos!! How can a Chinese restaurant not have rice and a few vegetables to throw together fried rice!!!? Decided to leave our in-laws, who had recommended the place, to try something else. We returned immediately as we could not think of another choice and were very hungry. Now 5 minutes after 3 and we were rudely refused the lunch menu. Unbelievable. And to rub salt in wound they somehow found fried rice for my brother law but not us! Average food, nothing special about it to justify higher prices than most other places.

I ordered shrimp chow mein, hot and sour soup, and pork buns... when we picked up our food and got home we have shrimp fried rice and I believe war won ton soup. I called right as we got home and no answer so I hopped back in the car to the restaurant and they were closed. They weren’t supposed to be closed until 9:30. I’m so disappointed. The Singapore style noodles were on point, nice balance of flavors and not overly salty. Snow white chicken has great flavors as well. Would definitely come back when Im in the area again. The brown rice could use some love. I got the bottom of the pot which has some crispies but I enjoy those, although others may not :D

I typically do not care much for Chinese cuisine, but my husband loves it. This is the one place I will ALWAYS say yes to.The food is not so overly seasoned that you cant taste the other ingredients. They do not use MSG or preservatives.The furnishings look and feel somewhere upscale but that is not at all reflected in the pricing. LOVE IT HERE!! (really like their sizzling rice soup)

We discovered this place on a whim, and we found the food to consistently be good to amazing. I highly recommend the Potstickers, General Tsao and Honey Walnut. These dishes have repeatedly made very picky friends of mine very happy.Quiet little place, we have only seen it have a rush once. And they have one particular waiter here, I feel terrible for not remembering his name, who always treats us perfectly. Incredibly diligent, stays on top of all our needs, and still manages to have a great and agreeable personality.

I would come here alot with my wife and by myself. Always getting the wonton soup. For some reason my price for wonton soup would jump from 17.00 to 20.00. So lately I started asking for prices. Id get no vegetable add extra wonton and the guy tells me .75 each additional wonton. I say ok. Then today I call order the same thing and now the guy tells me the wonton are 1.50 each. I told him I always get charged .75 for wonton. Hes starts getting an attitude as if im lieing and tells me I dont know who would tell you that. I told him you just lost my business and he his response sorry about that. Ok Im sure you are. My advise to mgmt is properly train your employees so everyone knows the correct information. I hate when I buy something over and over and the prices continue to go up and down.

Foods and ambience are okay. The bird nest dishs noodle was too dried/overcooked. The Hongkong style noodle had a nice presentation. The wonton soup was so so. (From my experience, nowhere has beaten the wonton soup from Lotus Fusion in Natomas). The fried shrimp with cashew was good. Most dishes had a nice apple cut up display. Our white male waiter was a bit in a hurry as he was so rushing in removing unfinished dishes from our table. The Asian ladies were better, very courteous. Not recommended for slow-eaters, elderly or with denture customers.
