Food Street Halal Cuisine in Placentia

We were so excited to try this place so we went today. The welcome was nice and place was clean. Customer service is great. We ordered and it took forever for our food to arrive. We wouldnt mind if the food was good. Samosa chaat we ordered had boiled potatoes and chick peas. Anyone from pakistan can tell thats not a samosa chaat. The taste of karahi was bad and it was watery like really watery specially for a karahi. The malai boti was anything but a malai boti. We were so disappointed and didnt try the dessert. I am sorry i dont want to be rude and want to support new small business but it wasnt worth it.

OMG!!! Food Street Halal Cuisine restaurant nailed it!!! Totally LOVED every bite of our Desi breakfast (halwa puri with cholay & aloo bujia)!! Also the PAPRI CHAAT was delish!!! EVERY dish looked amazing! Definitely going back!! And it’s soo close to the ICYL Masjid! They even have a FAMILY dining room where about 20 members can easily fit and enjoy the meal as if on their own doing table.

Nice clean place. Dining area is very nice compared to some other Desi food restaurants. Food is good. Nothing phenomenal but good. Pricey for the portion sizes.

We visited on the restaurant’s 2nd day of opening. The restaurant is very nice. (I believe there is a place to bring bigger families.) The staff is super friendly!!!Food:The food was disappointing. We were only able to get the chicken malai boti, burns road dagha kabab (beef dish), beef bihari kabab and plain naan. The chicken tikka and beef/chicken seekh kababs were sold out so we weren’t able to order those. The food ordered was in a small quantity and was bit undercooked. But we didn’t complain because it was still eatable. The plain naan seemed like it was a from a packet, which made us very disappointed. When we asked about the paratha, it was also frozen. I am also going to assume the kabab rolls offered are from a box because even though they didn’t have chicken/beef seekh kabab, they said they had those. Nonetheless, the food needs improvement. I think to make time for the freshness, the will need cut some stuff out of the menu.I think for now, I don’t think we will be coming back soon. I know they just opened but it didn’t meet our expectations like other Pakistani cuisines we know.

1st time being here, loved the food and host. Palak paneer is very home made style, loved it. Nihari and Naan was very good too. They took long time to prepare the food, but I can tell it wasn’t just microwaved food but freshly prepared with fresh Tadka for sure. Prices and serving size are moderate. Will def recommend. They are new, so give them a visit with open mind.

New halal food cuisine that popped on my screen. Had to try it. I had the Beef Nahari. It was very soft and you can cut through the beef with a fork or spoon. The garlic naan was great and wasn’t too garlicish. Service is spot on. I wrapped up with desi chai after this buttery and spicy serving. I want to come back for the lamb chops or kebab soon. Najav is the manager and he is a very nice guy who was happy to help explain how to order items not on the menu.

I tried this place for the first time. Ambiance is outstanding and great customer service. Place and restrooms are super clean .and food was good. Must try

Remember this: Quality Halal Pakistani food alert! Im impressed with the ambiance, food taste, and quality. Finally, theres a good option for Halwa Puri. The owners are nice too. Well definitely be returning customers.Also, dont forget about their Behari Boti. My wife and I were debating about it, and besides the quantity, we can safely say that their Behari Boti tastes better than Bundo Khan!

The restaurant offers excellent options for the Desi community seeking authentic food in Placentia. Had dinner here with family. Waiters were extremely efficient and courteous. Food was excellent.

We order their breakfast platter, paratha and behari boti. With desi chai. Forgot to take the pictures.And everything was so good.. chai was karak👍🏻Puri was so light. Everything was freshly made that’s why service was little slow.Definitely coming again.And last but not the least.. ambiance was so good, Washrooms were clean.
