There’s a reason why they are 5 stars. This is some of the best pizza I’ve had in a while. Without a doubt some of the best you can ever get in the Sac area. My man George knows how to run a shop, everything is done with pride from the ingredients to the placement of the toppings.

I ate here so you dont have to. I ordered a small pizza and Jalapeño poppers and it came out to $39 a little steep but ok. Now here is the rub, I go my order and drove back to my office about 2 miles away, I immediately noticed a weird smell in my car from my order. I arrived and opened the Jalapeño poppers first. Now this is the only reason I even gave them one star, they were good because some other business made them. I opened my Italian combo and saw they had made a combo pizza with white sauce, who makes an Italian pizza with white sauce, guess instead of seeing the word combo I should have read the description and walked out. The crust was undercooked and had that raw dough taste to it. My stomach is soing flips as I am rating this. They also used spring onions on the pizza and did not bother throwing out the roots of the plant as you will see in the photos. Anyways if you see this maybe do better on that pizza I ate two slices and tossed the rest.

BEST to go pizza around. This is family owned business and they make their own dough, sauce and ranch dressing. I love all the fresh veggie toppings too. We had a small 1/2 veggie 1/2 pepperoni pizza for lunch today. My husband loved it and he’s picky about his pizza. Be sure to support our local businesses EDH. 😀

My wife and I stopped in there yesterday for lunch and was so pleasantly surprised. Excellent homemade pizza and the wings were really good too. Also excellent service from Jack and the cook. We highly recommend and that is saying something coming from Pizza connoisseurs like we are. This is our new go to place for lunch when were in the area

This has been our families go-to spot for pizza ever since we moved to the area. Customer service is phenomenal! Never had a bad experience.I’ve walked in and ordered for take out, called in order for pick up & also called in for delivery and each time has been consistent and awesome.I’ve tried different pizzas and so far nothing has disappointed me.Highly recommend giving them a shot if you haven’t thus far!

Really nice place. Ordering online was simple and allows tons of customization, even “double cut” for the kids (smaller slices). They have tons of cool sides like wings and even tater tots. Pizzas were excellent. Staff was super nice. Will definitely get pizza takeout here again. Check them out!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Formaggio Pizza Express in El Dorado Hills and it was fantastic! I ordered the Mediterranean pizza and it was absolutely delicious - the toppings were fresh and flavorful, and the crust was perfectly crispy. But what really made my experience memorable was the excellent service provided by Steve, the manager. He went out of his way to make sure that I had everything I needed and that my dining experience was enjoyable. His warm and welcoming personality was a real highlight of my visit. Overall, I had a great experience at Formaggio Pizza Express and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious pizza and outstanding service. Thank you Steve and the whole Formaggio team for such a wonderful experience!

By far the best pizza Ive had in the US! There is a big difference between frozen and freshly-prepared homemade ingredients, and that is clearly proven with the pizza there; I will never be able to go to a big pizza chain again. I highly recommend the Armenian combo pizza if you enjoy spicy food.

Formaggio Pizza Express in El Dorado Hills, CA is one of the best Pizzeria’s around! They’re customer service is amazing and they make their own crust and sauce. For those who are vegan, there are options for you as well, they make a great cauliflower crust! There are a plethora of sides as well, such as wings, cheesy breadsticks, jalapeño poppers, mozzarella sticks, and classic French Fries. If you’re looking for a great pizza and amazing side options, Formaggio should be your next stop!

I LOVE this Pizza place! I have now ordered delivery 3 times from Formaggio and each time the food was delivered earlier than expected, fresh and delicious. They always get the order right too. I usually create my own pizza using the thin cauliflower crust as my go to. It is healthy, crisp and delicious!! I most recently tried their wings and OMG! I ordered them without sauce, 2 sides of buffalo and a side of ranch and they came exactly as ordered.These guys are consistent, service oriented, website is a breeze and the best news? You dont have to go through Door-rip-off-Dash to get your food. The delivery and tips go to Formaggios and not some 3rd party service. I didnt score for atmosphere as I havent actually been inside.Highly recommended!KerryEDHs

This is some great pizza! We’ve ordered 3 times over the last month and each time the pizza is perfection. The carnivores in our family love the Formaggio Combo while I love the Mediterranean Gourmet (sub white garlic sauce instead of pizza sauce). Everything tastes super fresh & the toppings are really loaded on there! Nice crisp, thin crust. Formaggio is going into our weekly rotation!

The high ratings just show how low the expectations are of pizza on the west coast. There is no difference between this and dominoes pizza . Except that’s it’s 3x more. $44.50 for a 2 topping 20” pie is about $10.00 too high. It’s not pizza, easily a digiorrno rising crust is better than this. You can not use a conveyor belt, it’s produces horrible pizza. You must have a pizza oven.

Being new to the area we decided to try a new pizza place. Kind of a tradition of ours. The reviews for this restaurant showed that it would be a great choice.. 🍕 the pizza was really good, the cheesey bread was to be less desired as it had no flavor. Arrived to us in the quoted time, however when the driver showed up is was like taking to a robot that couldnt respond. There was no hi and when I asked for plates there was not a single comment. Instead he shoveled the peppers and cheese out of his bag on to thr box, spun on his heals and walked away. But at least the pizza was delicious 😋

THE FRIENDLIEST OF FRIENDLY PEOPLE WORK HERE !!! I work for a mobile dog grooming company and decided to stop by and have lunch here(wings were amazing), and I was treated with kindness and respect and made me feel like I was a close friend of theirs. Will definitely come back to lunch again !!

We had this pizza delivered 3 minutes ago and it’s almost gone. This is the best I’ve had in a long time. The man I spoke to on the phone was very nice. The delivery man was great as well. Would 100% recommend this place to anyone that asked. Thanks for the great pizza!

Our favorite pizza place! So glad they opened up. We order a few pizzas pretty much every Friday night. Pizza comes out quickly and always tasty. They put ample toppings on and we really enjoy their Stromboli too. Steve and his family are always super friendly - we love it!

Formaggio Pizza is take-away only as you might expect. Their Formaggio combo ingredients are placed right to the edge of the crust and plenty of it. The ingredients were baked just right such that there was no grease. The dough was baked perfectly from the crust to the center and not doughy. A must-try is their cheese bread with homemade ranch dressing, their liquid gold. Im from out-of-town and wanted a good pizza other than Round Table and Pizza Hut. Formaggio is that place!

We ordered a vegetarian with vegan cheese and it was delicious. Steve was very accommodating and gave me a sample of the cheese to try. I was pleased that he uses the same brand we use at home. Crust was nice and thin as we requested and had just the right amount of crunch to the bite. My husband who is Italian and usually favors our family sauce recipe even liked their sauce. We will definitely be back.

Excellent! I was next door getting nails done and heard the nail salon owner comment the pizza was good. This was on their first day of opening too. Guys at the desk were super friendly. I ordered the Formaggio Combo and Bq wings. The pizza is really good and the wings are the Best I ever had!! It’s about time somebody opened a pizza shop worth going to in this area!

Great pizza especially their cauliflower crust pizza and by far AMAZING chicken wings. When all 5 of my children ask to please order their chicken wings again for the second week in a row that tells me that Formaggio Pizza Express is doing something great. They are family owned and new to El Dorado Hills Town Center.
