Venue - Upscale, clean, pretty large, for a Chinese restaurant.Food - Good portions on servings and all the different dishes had very good taste to them.Service - Servers and staff here are very nice and on point.Parking - Lots of parking here in the complex.Pricing - Not overpriced but fair prices on the menu.Overall good experience and place can accommodate large parties also.
Friendly service right from the door. The Restaurant is elegantly decorated. Staff members and my waiter were very courteous. All the above deserve a Five Star. The Food prices are on point. I ordered the shrimp Lo mein, it was decent. It could use a touch of something. Not sure what it was really missing. It was a bit plain for my palate. Other than that, great place. Stop by and sophisticate the way you eat Chinese food.

Went here with my love dove Brittany and had some sushi. good food. plenty of seating, they were very professional and courteous to us. quick with the seating, they serve small appetizers while waiting. restrooms are clean, and parking lot is huge for it shares it with other stores. plenty of selection for food to choose from and serving size is to feed 2 or more people.
This should be a 4.5. Its not bad of a place, pretty authentic Chinese food. You walk in and see a wall of wine on the wall. There is a wall paper of a Buddha, which is fine with the culture. It looks really nicely decorated. Seats are very comfortable, with high seat backings in the large booths that can fit five people.They give a plate of Chow Mein noodles that they refilled for us. My brother and I being an ABC we wanted to try this restaurant. I was drawn towards the West Lake Beef Soup, (a little disappointed, because they used ground beef and not minced meat) and it was a little bland. The tables didnt have salt or pepper, so we had to ask for white pepper, which helped a little, still not bad though. Then we had the Hand-Ripped Stir-Fried Cabbage, which had a good flavor with the chili peppers, which werent hot and the black vinegar. My friend who was not Chinese, chose the Beef with Garlic Sauce. That was great. My first piece I ate was a little large, but it tasted very good.Drinking a lot of water, they were very attentive about coming by a few times to fill up water. No tea was offered, so I dont know if we had to ask for it or it was extra.Moreover, the bathroom was pretty nice and was much better than a normal Chinese restaurant, pretty clean and quite big.Id come back to this restaurant to try other dishes later.

What a great experience! The food quality its excellent, the atmosphere beautiful like your at a super high end restaurant with the fair prices. The porches are large and you get what you pay for here. The staff and Tim my server are super friendly and on top of drinks food and all your needs. Beyond Excellent service! Delicious, high quality food! You can not beat their happy hour! I love the jalapeno bomb and firecracker roll on happy hour. On the regular menu, my favorites are the orange chicken and potstickers! Havent had anything I dont like so far...
Discovered this place because my go to Chinese place closed. Too bad I hadnt discovered it sooner. The Egg Flower soup was the best I have ever had. The vegetables were crisp and fresh. The crispy orange chicken was my favorite along with the eggplant with garlic sauce.
Ive been to the Fortune Cookies Restaurant several times with my family. The food is consistently good. The service is outstanding. If there is a wait, its usually under 5 minutes and worth it. Prices are reasonable for the portions of food served.
Worst customer service Ive ever had. After ordering take out and having 2 bites of food at home. Everyone in our family was repulsed by the quality of the entrees plus we were missing our rice... when we boxed everything up and took it back to the store. The manager yelled at us telling us no one does this! You are the only ones!! He continued to be little us and haggled us for a refund but yanked the bag of food from our hands. As someone that also works at customer service I am disgusted with how the manager acted. I understand this are stressful times but we were calm and respectful and did not deserve to be treated as such. Will never return. I suggest you avoid this place and try anywhere else. That manager needs an attitude adjustment and a lesson in customer service. Just wow...(5-20-20 at 7pm)
This restaurant is very clean, beautifully decorated inside, and the food is so delicious. I recommend this place for a great dining experience. I plan on celebrating Mothers Day there for lunch with my family. I will keep coming back and hope to try a different dish each time (I am a creature of habit)
Great, must try...They have all the American favorites if you want, but they also have many different authentic dishes that will get you excited about Chinese food again. The owner was there and greeting everyone. Great service too.
I ordered food to be delivered because I hurt my foot and cant really get out or cook for a few days. This was the first and last time I will get anything from Fortune Cookies.I specifically asked if rice was included (so I would know if I should order a side) and was told that it was.The order came, I hobbled into the kitchen, opened the bag and there was no rice. I called immediately. They offered me some sort of discount on a future order and I said thanks, but I what I want is my dinner, which includes rice. Can you just have someone bring some on their next trip out?The manager simply refused to do this, although I wasnt asking for anything right away.I then finished unpacking the bag and all three sauce containers were broken, they had leaked all over the contents of the bag.Any and all of this would have been fine with me if they were simply willing to give me all the food I paid for.This isnt how you run a business.A huge portion of my dinner is missing, my kitchen counter is a mess from the broken sauce containers, and I have to clean all this nonsense up, which is exactly the kind of activity Im not supposed to be doing at the moment and the whole reason I ordered food to be delivered.To say that Im not happy is an understatement.
We have been coming here for years and today we came to the new location.We were asked if we wanted hot and spicy or egg flower soup. We both chose hot and spicy. We recieved no soup, eggroll or salad with our meal. A waiter asked to refill our glasses and never came back.At least our entree showed up!! Not sure why we recieved this type of service. Perhaps they were busy. We did have to wait 20 minutes outside for a table.I dont know what to say. It was really disappointing. I used to love this place and really loved the food. :(
Hmm... I have only been here twice and all i can say is my family and i have gotten sick both times we went. Dont get me wrong the food is good up until it just aint nomo. Place is really beautifully set inside. Love the wine artsy wall. Waiters were very polite. It definitely isnt my to go place but it could be for you.
Their food is awesome. Amazing flavor without all the greasing greasiness and heaviness of regular Chinese food. Everyone who works there is very nice and helpful. Get the crispy orange chicken for sure.
Portions are huge. Atmosphere is nice. I am not a fan of Chinese food but the fod is delicious. I had the Mongolian beef. I would order it again. They have some low carb options as well.
When i was sitted down, they had left on the table from the prior people sitting there a bowl with food in it and they sat me down there. They never came to take it away! The waiter never brought me water or asked if i wanted something to drink. 15mins went by i had to tell him i wanted something to drink. He brought out for me a half filled glass. The food that i got was so dry i literally didnt even eat it. I paid and didnt eat any of it and left. Im very sadden because the restaurant looks nice and the good food menu looked good however the waiter ruined it for me completely!
My girlfriends and I meet up for dinner once a month and trying to find a restaurant we all like can sometimes be challenging. One of my girlfriends suggested Fortune Cookies in Orange, which was a great dining experience. Not only was the food delicious and great portions for sharing, but also their customer service was on point. We have found our spot for our monthly mommies night out. Thanks!!!
The ambiance is as perfect as the food at Fortune Cookie. The orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and chicken lettuce wraps have become our favorite dishes. I doubt you could order anything bad here though. Highly recommend this establishment!
We come for the good food and great music unfortunately the last couple times weve come theyve changed the music to a jazzy jazz. PLEASE go back to the other smooth R&B. Also, no Sushi tonight. We may start calling to check on music selection and to be sure the sushi Chef is cookin.
Service is good, prices reasonable, quality poor. i dont know what has happened! used to love the food, however, the last two times we visited the flavors have changed and way too much salt for my taste.
Very good its flavor and style almost similar to The Dragon in moreno valley.but they dont listen to our suggestions to improve....like replace the old style crumy dry noodles with the flat cripy ones...ten times better...Also my order was the big bowl warwonton soup,hers was mogoogaipan. Well we ate all the soupthat was supposed to be mine...20min later the brought out th mogogaipan we figured thst they forgot about our order.... so we ended sharing that anyway. I think they just need to bring what u order and let the customer decidehow their gonna eat the meal....oh well well tell them next time...the food is better than most!.
The food was poor, engridients and preparation. The chicken plate consisted of little slivers that were heavily breaded and deep fried beyond recognition, very dry with lots of chopped pepper. The waiter was passive at best.
One of my favorite places. The food is excellent and plentiful. The staff are most courteous and helpful. My only complaint is the beer menu is limit to four choices and not one good strong dark one.
Excellent experience and service. The food was very delicious. Went during happy hour and highly recommend this restaurant! I will return often. I tried the miso soup, spicy tuna roll, and HH firecracker. Topped it off with sapporo beer! Wow, so good. The menu looked great too and will try other items on it in the future.
My wife and I come here [at least] once a month - - the food is that good! All chicken dishes are white, breast-meat chicken, and its seasoned perfectly.The spring rolls are the best in SoCal - - a VERY light wrapper that has a light, flaky texture - - no oil taste. In fact, on those occasions when we order takeout, we often eat the spring rolls on the way home!You wont go wrong with:-Chicken chop suey-Szechwan Beef-Garlic chickenand their fried rice (we order ours with no egg, but either way is great)Enjoy!
Just went for lunch, the Crispy Orange Chicken was very good. Tried some of the Mongolian Beef which was tasty as well. Definitely plan on going back and trying other dishes.
We often visit the Los Alamitos Fortune Cookies and wanted to see what the Orange location is all about. We both had soup and an entree and were not disappointed. The egg flower soup was delicous and my husband enjoyed the hot and sour soup. We had the garlic chicken and shrimp with lobster sauce. The spice of the garlic chicken was perfect. My husband is picky about his shrimp with lobster sauce and never has any problems with the flavor of this dish at Fortune Cookies. Regarding the service, it turns out that Gary our server also works at the Los Alamitos location. He took very good care of us and was attentive.

We have been eating at Fortune Cookies since they first opened, we mainly come for the lunch specials but occasionally come for dinner. Food and service are consistently good and we have recommended them to many friends.
First impression: clean, new, modern, friendly server. Menu boasts no msg, better ingredients, and lower calorie count. Some guidance is given on the menu for those watching cholesterol or other conditions. Shrimp Lo Mein tasted fresh and perfectly cooked. Beef Lo Mein was good as well. Trung was one of the best servers we had in a while, from his talk to the way he handed the check, hes a professional all the way.
We (including our 7-year old boys) love Fortune Cookies,! Great service (always), excellent quality food and calm ambiance. Weve never had a bad experience there, and the whole staff is nothing but gracious and helpful.
You can taste the freshness !! And staff is super friendly ... I enjoy bringing family and friends here . They accommodate for large parties. The Ahi tuna mango salad is amazing.

We enjoy their food. However my last experience was a little off. I placed an order on line my confirmation said it would be ready at 5:45 when I arrived my order was not ready and was told the on line order said 8:45. I got to work the confirmation on my desk said 5:45.
Raw wootons and cold soup,,,son went to pick up Wooton soup wich we Love! We have been there many times and thats our favorite..we specifically ask for extra container of broth when is a to go order, buy when my son got home with the soup they give him the container EMPTY. The wootons were not cook they were disgusting raw and also the chicken was not cook enough. And cold . It was a disappointment 😡

Consistently good Chinese food. The sweet and sour chicken is really good, the sauce doesnt overwhelm the chicken and veggies, and the chicken is always moist, never dry.

Some advice, I wish the peices of meat were cut smaller and the chicken was a better quality. I got a very chewy, chunky part of chicken that was inedible and had to be spit out.

The chicken meat was very lean but it was not spicy enough for me.The spicy tofu w/ veggie in the middle had just the right spicy...tasted great & good healthy food.My main dish-Tea Smoked Duck-was also tasted great. The duck meat was lean & the skin was crispy. I put a piece of meat in the center of bread & dipped in the sweet brown sauce...it tasted heavenly!!

She said she never knew of this place, she would always pass this place as she went to work out but never thought about coming in here but now she will. Ahe ordered the chicken with strong beans and wet enjoyed it. I ordered the shrimp with lobster sauce and it was good to. Not holding back on the shrimp. Very enjoyable atmosphere. People are welcoming and out was nice celebrating a Chinese New Year lunch with my daughter. Wish my other daughter was here though to share this with us.

2019-05-13 22:48:36Its a really nice restaurant in a nice location. We went there for Mothers day. However the service was not up to par. We ordered a large soup but it was delivered to the table in several small bowls. While some of our party received the soup, others did not. So we not sure how large the soup serving was. We were expecting to be served a large bowl of soup, with several smaller cups, so that we could serve ourselves. Moreover, please check and re-check your bill. One of our party ordered a to go order, and the to go order was included in the dine-in check. This meant that the gratuity, which was automatically charged at 18% included the to-go order as well. While its not a lot of money, the principle of the issue is that the waitress or whoever rang up the check was pretty sneaky about it. Also, the restaurant wasnt that crowded, but whenever we asked for the waitress, she seemed to take a bit of time to get to our table. The food was good, but on principle, I didnt like the way we were served.

We ordered several items having never been here and we were not disappointed! It is hard to believe something made healthier can be so fantastic! Highly recommend. Nice decor, atmosphere. Feels expensive but prices are appropriate, serving sizes were very generous. One entree can easily feed two people.

The place is simply cozy, quiet, nice music, for appetizing meal. Six months ago, this place was three stars for me- great improvement ! Highly recommended for all occasion- prices are average but great food, for a fine dining place.
