Fortune Cookies Restaurant Los Alamitos in Seal Beach

Ive known Fortune Cookies since it opened in Los Alamitos a couple of decades ago. Its now in Seal Beach, just a few blocks down from the original location. Ive always liked their philosophy of being a healthy Chinese restaurant. Some people say that, because of that, the food is a bit on the bland side. Well, maybe they arent overly aggressive flavors, but I actually do like them. And I think that their Mandarin Chicken with Eggplant is absolutely delicious! Anyhow, in these times of crazy prices, FC still gives you a lunch special for 10 bucks that includes a spring roll with salad, your choice of rice, your choice of soup, and one entree. Hard to beat that!

This use to be my fave place! Recent experiences have been terrible. I say experiences because I forgot about the last time I ordered with them and there was a bunch of eggshells piled in my shrimp fried rice my 7 year old found while choking/barfing from disgust like they used my order for the trash can for all the eggshells disgusting!It’s been about a year much time had past I really forgot until I reordered today how terrible the service was. I never doordash and Uber eats and I get my food it’s an open bag open food egg rolls missing. I call they want to give me a hard time about getting my money back after waiting 2 hours to receive it from who I thought was their direct employee. They’re suppose to be picking it up for a refund I’ll bet my last dollar they repacking this food for some one else. Never again…Ordered at 2 it’s 5:51 they never planned on coming back to drop me my funds I had to go get it. Scum bags.and I seen a food worker in they nose when I when to pick up my money smh what in the heck!Management need to do better establishment is totally disgusting.

Recently moved to the area. Have had this place 3 times. 1x pick up. 2x delivery. Tonight, with delivery, I ordered the shrimp sizzling rice soup and egg rolls. The food was Amazing! The soup has a lot of shrimp in it. And the egg rolls are cooked perfectly! If ordering online, order directly through the their website. They do pick-up/delivery, but without the higher prices/fees you get when ordering through a seperate food delivery comp. A huge thank you to all the staff for making/bringing me such a perfect dinner! Appreciate you!

Went back again and food was delicious ☺️We got a few dishes❤️Chow main.Shrimp fried rice.Chop suey.Orange chicken.All good 😊

FORTUNE COOKIE MOVED TO NEW LOCATION. THE NEW LOCATION IS BEAUTIFUL INSIDE. HAS A NICE SET UP OF TABLES AND CHAIRS NICE AND CLEAN. CLEAN RESTROOMS. SERVERS ARE VERY NICE AND KIND. THEY TAKE YOUR ORDER RIGHT AWAY. THEY HAVE A LUNCH MENU WOTH MANY DISH TO CHOOSE FROM ALONG WITH REGULAR DISHES. HERE NO PORK IS SERVED.

I just love this placeEverything is good on this menu ... the quality is excellent and it is worth the price!!. The staff are very friendly and they even take last minute orders and wait for pick up orders to show even after closing time!!! .. if needed ...! ! Just FYI. !

Got the steam filet dover sole fish meal that was steamed and brothed in light soy sauce and ginger amd scallions. It came with a bowl of white rice. It was very delicious! As for the egg drop it was very rich and light at the same time. Definitely, very good food that if you want to eat something delightful and healthy. High recommended.

Came in with my parents and my brother. The food was good but moreover, the server we had was spectacular. Friendly and wonderful with sharing stories. Would definitely go back just to sit in his section.

This restaurant was packed so i had high hopes. Unfortunately we did not like our food. Very “gringo-ish” if ya know what i mean. They were nice though! And you cant beat the value of the lunch special.

Had a little bit of everything it felt like. Lol. Their dining hours are broken up so you know exactly when lunch ends, which is nice.Staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. Food is good and so fresh.Great experience.
