2023-08-19 02:28:19New to the area and read some great reviews about this place. They were right! The Egg Flower Soup was exceptional. I had the King Pau Chick and she had the Lemon Chicken... both were great. We have found our go-to Chinese restaurant on the first try!

2023-10-22 02:19:06Whoa this is good take out Chinese. Fast delivery and well above average take out. So tasty, not greasy or cheaply made. Just good stuff. Order now cause you can’t have any of my leftovers. Had the bbq pork fried rice & lettuce wraps both excellent. My gf & I are very impressed & glad we found our go to take out place. Will have to dine in soon

2023-05-30 19:40:53I was sad when Chengdu closed down but finally decided to give this a try. I think the new management pretty much just bought over the old space because things like the phone number stayed the same. Their menu is a little different though. Its more of just a typical Chinese menu without any regional specialties. I found it a little less authentic than Chengdu but still overall a solid Chinese option and I would order again. Plus the staff was very nice and efficient. It is not super authentic if youre going by SGV/Monterey Park/Alhambra standards, but it still is good enough.I ordered 4 items for takeout: Dim sum Delight, chicken with black bean sauce, beef chow fun, and the spicy eggplant. Portions were very large and a great value for the money.1. The chicken was good, and featured a good amount of breast meat (no weird pieces). Those of you seeking to hit your protein goals for the day will be happy.2. The spicy eggplant was solid, but couldve had a bit more depth of flavor. Still, I would order it again. Not too spicy, kind of a lighter sauce.3. The BBQ bao and shumai in the dim sum Delight were good. The shrimp dumplings were not that great, kind of rubbery, and the vegetable and chicken dumplings were a little better. (In all fairness, these probably would have been a lot better if we had dined in, especially b/c I had a 15 minute drive home).4. The beef chow fun was good, not as much deep flavor as I would have wanted but I just added a little bit of soy sauce (which came with the food) and it was perfect. Not too greasy. Our order also came with a large rice for free. The food was packaged perfectly so nothing spilled and it was ready within 15 minutes at 6 p.m. on Sunday night of Memorial weekend, right on time.Overall, I miss the restaurant that used to be in this space (Chengdu House was more authentic -- but the chef died :(( RIP) but I am happy that a good replacement moved in so quickly. Im happy enough with the quality of the food to try other things on the menu, like their tofu and seafood dishes. Good luck to them and I hope they succeed! Help support a small minority-owned business!

2023-09-25 17:24:45Serviceable Chinese food is youre in the Valley. Miss the former Chengdu House menu. This one is more typical run of the mill Chinese fare.
