2023-10-21 23:01:56General chicken was prepared perfectly- it was crispy and not over-sauced. The sauce was a bit sweet for my taste however I asked for extra spicy and that evened it out. It was really good. The beef chow fun was excellent- the noodles were not overcooked and the flavor was tasty.I orders fried pot stickers and they were not very good. They lacked flavor and the consistency was neither chewy or tender.Overall a great spot. Know that it’s in a gas station but don’t let that deter you… the food is very good and the proportions are generous.

2023-09-04 23:40:53Handmade and deliciously crispy pot stickers. Huge lunch portions served all day, and at an affordable price. Super friendly staff with fast service. Ive only been twice but Ill be sure to stop through more often when Im in Davis. Highly recommend the sesame chicken and pot stickers!

2022-01-31 00:21:06Dont be surprised to find that Four Seasons is directly within the gas station store. I read reviews before going but was still taken aback by how there wasnt even a door before the dining area and the store. I ordered the black bean fillet fish (lunch special) for take-out and received it within 20 minutes. Most people called in for pick-up orders, I would recommend doing that. The staff is friendly and efficient despite balancing both people calling in and orders at the front. Indoor dining is available but there isnt any outdoor seating. The fish fillet was seasoned well, but I personally found it a bit salty and the rice a bit dry. It was a good distribution of veggies and fish, definitely filling. This is a cozy local spot for classic Chinese American fare priced reasonably for the portions.

2023-09-11 14:35:18Half convenience store half restaurant. A few homeless out front but they didnt bother us.Kind of a sterile atmosphere but the food was pretty good. I think I would have ordered something different next time cuz I got too much fried stuff.Value was so so with each dish being about 13 bucks plus tax.

2023-02-06 20:26:36Ordered egg rolls an general chicken. The chicken was very basic cooked in old oil very burnt tasting ends. Huge portion an the owner is a very very nice lady . But the food was just the worst. Super super nasty. The bathroom was also disgusting and smells horribly like homeless pee. If the staff wasnt so nice an the portion not so big I would give 1 star . Nasty nasty stuff

2019-08-27 23:11:06I almost don’t want to give it 5 stars because I want it all to myself. Definitely Davis’ best kept secret. When my husband first told me about a Chinese in a gas station I have to admit I was apprehensive. It kinda screams sketchy 😂 it’s a classic case of not judging a book by its cover.I have tried multiple dishes here and never been disappointed. Their beef dishes are a favourite of mine, the cumin, Mongolian and curry being the best I’ve triedI’ve also loved their string bean chicken and general chicken. The biggest problem we’ve found with this place is figuring out what to order, every time we want to try something new but we also want to order one of the gorgeous dishes we’ve had before!!There’s one particular woman who works there a lot, maybe she is an owner ? But she is so kind and makes you feel so welcome! Even thanking us for bringing back a friend with us the most recent time we visited. The pricing is incredibly reasonable, it’s actually one of the best places for me to get low carb eats when I’m doing keto as a lot of the plainer dishes come just meat and veggies - rice or noodles is always an optionThe always lean towards their beef dishes as the beef is incredibly tender. The portion sizes are large we always have lunch the next day sorted. When I feeel like something for a treat / a bit carby the generals chicken is perfect!I genuinely feel it’s the best Chinese in Davis !!

2021-10-10 05:14:44For a Chinese Kitchen connected to a gas station, I have to say the food is pretty good. Most people do take out and they order ahead. We got there and placed our order, very quick, got our food in about 10 minutes. They have a good selection of rice plates.

2023-05-29 21:35:50Every time I know Im stopping through Davis I will order over the phone and stop here for their egg and shrimp with rice dish. Despite the simplicity of the dish, its absolutely incredible. High protein with at least six to eight large shrimp, sprinkled with some scallions and topped with some oyster sauce. The egg is always perfectly cooked with a little bit of runny thats soaked up by the rice.Sometimes I branch out and also order their spicy eggplant garlic dish. Its nice spiced with a lot of eggplant, bamboo shoots, onions, and pure deliciousness. Most recently I added chicken for two extra dollars and found it to be an incredible compliment. Would recommend ordering with rice or pairing it with the egg and shrimp rice dish since it has a lot of rice.Service is always fast, efficient and very polite.

2023-05-02 04:27:40What a great suprise! The resto is literally inside the convenience store at the gas station! Very good food, although the prices on the menu I was shown were different (more expensive) to what I was charged.

2021-01-12 03:19:02Can’t say I’ll ever go here again honestly. I ordered the sweet and sour soup, cheese wonton and seasame chicken. The wontons weren’t bad and the soups ok but honestly the chicken is blah. Overly battered, overly sauced with thick goo and feel like gloppyness when you take a bite. I can’t even get my fork to pierce the chicken it’s so hard. Maybe I had a bad experience my first time but can’t say I’m gonna try again.
