This restaurant serves some of the best BBQ pork and roast duck around, but it doesn’t quite live up to Sam Woo. The food is pricey, and the portions are small, especially when it comes to the amount of meat you get. The service is okay, but the dining area isn’t great, especially considering what you’re paying. The ceiling fans are so strong they can make your napkins fly away. While there are some good points, like certain dishes, the overall experience could be better.

This spot got some tasty Chinese food. Not only do they have classics Chinese take-out, but also Cantonese BBQ!Along with a meal plate, I also got the 3 item combo set of the roasted duck, honey BBQ pork, and soy sauce chicken. Everything was fresh, juicy, and so flavorful! I am personally a fan of roasted duck, so this place made me really happy with each bite! Definitely want to come here again.

First time ordering here. The food was delicious however the service was slow, only 2 people working there, ( I waited 30 minutes for my togo order), and they ran out of things I was going to order. I ordered roasted duck and soy sauce chicken, but was told the soy sauce chicken was gone before getting to my order. So we ended up with :Two item combo set- Roasted duck and bbq pork rib - Prefer the duck for sure! Good flavor, portions are smaller than I expected for the price.It could be a one off, so I’ll come back to try a second time for the soy sauce chicken next time.

I always believe taste of food is a personal preference matter. Nonetheless, lunch I had here this afternoon is unfortunately on the sweet side, both shrimps and beef. Rice is not cooked thoroughly.

What the duck!? This is one of the best duck I’ve had! Came here with my sister and noticed there were tables and chairs there to dine in since most bbq places are Togo only. Pretty spacious and very clean! It was so nice to dine in eating Chinese bbq because it would always be takeoutBack to the duck! The skin was very crispy and meat was so soft ! I usually only eat 1-2 pieces when I eat duck but couldn’t stop eating this. You can even hear the crunch of the crispy skin too when you bite into it! Juicy and moist ! The soy sauce chicken was very flavorful!The express meal boxes were great! Came with a few items with chow mein and fried rice! Very filling!!! Love the variety they have!We had to buy some duck and chicken Togo for my parents and they loved it too! I’m definitely coming back again!

The portion of the food is just too small for its price. We bought one set of roasted pork for 9.99. It has less than 9 pieces. The taste is also basic. Would not recommend.

Ive visited this place a few times during their soft opening and unfortunately, maybe because it was a soft opening, the wait was a bit long. However, their service was great but not too efficient. That being said, their BBQ rice bowl and roast duck were absolutely delicious! I also really enjoyed their chow mein, Mongolian beef, and stir-fried green beans. However, I wasnt a fan of the walnut shrimps because the crust was a bit too hard for my taste. Overall, despite the wait, it was a great experience and I cant wait to go back for more!

So good. I know of no other place near here with Cantonese BBQ, especially duck. I primarily only get the duck but I have had the honey walnut shrimp and the green beans and have never been disappointed.I use to have to drive to Irvine to get some duck but now that Sam Woo has closed this I the only place. I would argue it is better than Sam Woo was when they were still in business.So happy this place opened so close to me.

Best roast duck in orange county! Thin crispy skin, good flavor and the meat is not too fatty which is perfect. Im from Hong Kong and this reminded me of home. Cant wait to try the other roast meats. Ive only done take out but the staff were very friendly and the place was clean .

Terriable service. The male server and female server both have the ignorant attitude. They use microwave to heat the pre-cooked food in front of us. We ordered different combo with five different dishes, however, they served two dishes in total and missed the other three dishes event didnt notice us. The food is normal but not delicious.

My father wanted to try their roasted duck so we gave the place a try. Their roasted duck was decent and I did enjoy their hot and sour soup. Pork ribs were okay, but the noodles we didnt care for. Since I live in Singapore, this felt a bit pricy, but we enjoyed 3 out of 4 which is pretty good. The atmosphere is average. Id come back and try more.

Avoid this place. Ordered a half duck and regular sized honey bbq pork. The woman working behind the counter microwaved the container of pork before putting it in the bag (she did the same with the chow mein I ordered). Duck was very soft and fatty (not crispy at all). Pork was cold(even after microwaving) and extremely fatty. Payed almost $50.

We ordered half a chicken and half a roasted duck plus green beans, Expensive fast food experience, total over $60 for two people. Chicken and duck were all small portions and a lot of bones. Taste no special, if you any other Cantonese restaurants, taste better and a larger portion, service better and price is way cheaper. So I dont know why other people rate so high

The bbq pork belly, chicken, pork ribs, and duck are very delicious! Highly recommend, I have been here three times to get different dishes. They are still in soft opening so not everything will be available all time, but it’s worth it if you are lucky! Lunch combo dish is also cheap and tastes good!

Finally a good authentic Cantonese style bbq place in South OC! I used to drive to Westminster or Irvine but now Franks will be my go to.Ive visited three times and each time has been great and consistent. I primarily came to try the roast duck but there are so many great options all around! If youre not into duck I would highly recommend the soy sauce chicken-so juicy and pretty light flavor so you wont feel to full or heavy after eating it. They have a pretty big menu with options for meal boxes (great for quick lunch), signature bbq: roasted duck and chicken, rice bowls, combo sets, and other chefs specials: honey walnut shrimp, sweet & sour pork, etc.You can enjoy a sit down meal here or take to go which I have done both. Service is quick and staff is friendly. I wasnt sure exactly what to order and they took the time to explain how the combos worked and what items they recommended. Ill definitely be back!

*Beware* they will nickle-and-dime you -- we ordered the duck, and they literally served us *ONLY* neck parts (the thinnest, leanest portion of the duck). Five measly pieces of neck bones for over $15 :( :(And upon mentioning this to them, they laughed and us off, saying itll be better next time you come, Im sure youll have a better experience. Indeed!Dont come here unless you want to get ripped off. Way better quality and price going to any local grocery store that serves BBQ pork and duck

Noodles tasted like the nissan chowmein in bowls similar to nongshim shin noodles.Orange chicken is not the best. I prefer to drive all the way to mr work.Asked for egg rolls but chef said he does not make those but when i got to the cashier to pay they were being made. Maybe he didnt understand me? Its a nice restaurant but you will probably be the only one eating there if you decide to eat there.

Well I will say this as a local from Lake Forest on my life born and raised Franks BBQ Chinese cuisine is much better than the previous owners much fresher food a lot cleaner environment the original owners a little bit older people but they were nice and respectful but the new ownership seems to have it together these little young orientals that are running the place seemed to know what theyre doing I hope they keep up the good work and keep the fresh food and accommodate what the customer request is every time and one more thing yes they need to pay more attention to accommodating the customer and fulfilling the customers request regardless what the situation is thats whats going to bring you back more customers and thats whats going to keep your business going

The roast duck is very crispy. This is the first time I have eaten such delicious roast duck. It is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It is even more delicious than the skin of roast duck. It tastes very good. The side dishes are also quite delicious.

Do the ducks stay in your store to escape the heat? You really want us to have a meal of microwaved pure fatty pork barbecued pork for 20 yuan, right? If you spend all the money on materials on Xiaohongshu, you should stop doing it.The meat is edible, mainly because the environment is so pleasant. It’s filling and cool in the store in the summer.Google asked me what I recommend, I recommend you do not eat there.
