2022-10-21 14:16:31Came with a group of friends. We ordered the okonomiyaki, two of us got the combo sets, and others entrees. The food was large portion and very delicious. The 6pc nigiris were huge. The okonomiyaki has a lot of meat on it and an egg. We would come here again.

2018-12-07 05:13:47Loved everything we had especially the nice cold beer and the ikura onigiri. Im very impressed with the authentic taste of the okonomiyaki. Super friendly service, fresh ingredients, delicious food! This is definitely the best place for okonomiyaki in the Bay Area.

2019-07-28 04:12:00Overall its a good experience and the good is unique its own category. The business specializes in Japanese pancakes, Okonomiyaki, and a few other specific side dishes. Wait list can be long as the business is small and gets busy really fast. I would recommend coming in early right when it opens as the business is not your usual 9 to 5 hours of operation; it opens around 5 30 pm.Portion and quality of the dish is good, a bit saucey and hidden meat portions with a large portion of vegetables. If you like to eat, I would say its just enough for you to be content a for the duration of your stay. However, if you wanted to eat another dish, you can easily order another without getting too full. Service was lacking as the waiters and waitress had to perform multiple roles to ensure customer service. However, being that the place is busy, they overlook the basic service of asking the customer the quality of the meal, refilling water, and having ready to-go containers of any left overs. I felt the establishment lacked service, thus 1 star taken away.I would come again but given the circumstances of their limited hours, long wait times, and somewhat small portions - in my perspective, Im not too inclined to make this my priority. Was a good experience.

2019-05-09 21:42:49I went to this place for a pre birthday celebration with my parents! It was pretty empty when we went in on a 6:30 pm on Tuesday but filled up so quickly after that that we had to have a reservation to get a seat!Food: I loved the pancake items they had - I got the house special and the seafood special! I definitely preferred the house special since it had a good balance of sweet and savory. We also got the taiyaki dessert which had the perfect cool finish to the meal!Service: The staff here are good at their job and super super kind. They were patient and you see your food made in front of you!Ambiance: A more upscale casual place!A truly unique and fun experience to be had!Make sure to ask about the yelp special!

2021-09-05 18:07:20It’s actually shown as Rokko from the outside. The okonomiyaki tasted really good and authentic (approved by my gf lived in Japan for 4 years)— the amount of cabbage and it’s sweetness were just impressive. Their chicken karaage was one of the best in South Bay. The were a variety of okonomiyaki, and we would come back to try different flavors!

2021-12-19 17:21:55Ive been on my quest to try all the okonomiyaki spots in the area and this one did not disappoint. Me and my friends got different pancakes and they all looked great and sometimes heaping. The taste was great and different from other spots Ive tried but i did wish you could add way more toppings than what they offer because it seemed like all the bases were the same you just had meat or no meat and various toppers. My other favorite spots let you add tofu, mochi, and other veggies. I could also tell they really shred all the cabbage super small which was fine with me but there was less texture. Always go for the noodles with these orders since its much better than just the pancake. Service was also great and they were very patient with our party. Will be back if Im in the area.

2019-11-09 14:14:45Came here for lunch & to try their okonomiyaki (~Japanese pancakes). The service was awesome w/ friendly & very helpful wait staff. Parking wasn’t too bad, but like most of Santa Clara now... it’s a risk to getting ur windows smashed (warning on the door). But of course the highlight was their okonomiyaki, which my friend and I both tried different things. They had a Stewed Beef & Egg combo w/ the Beef Bowl add-on. I had the Negi Tsukimi-Tama w/Modan (adding noodles on top) because I love a ton of green onion. Though seemingly unassuming of a portion (looks generous but just right), you will find yourself stuffed by the deceptive amount they give you. The food is very good esp. as u add the sauce offered on the table.

2017-07-25 16:41:10Check in on Yelp for a FREE appetizer. We chose buttered corn (yummy!).Service was great. The waiter was attentive and helpful in explaining what each type of food if you are unfamiliar.First some education!Okonomiyaki is a grilled Japanese pancake with flour, egg, shredded cabbage and meat topped with a bunch of sauce (Japanese mayo, etc.) Technically you can put anything you like in it.Yakisoba is grilled soba noodle.Modanyaki is okonomiyaki with soba noodle. Now lets talk about food:Mentai Potato Salad ($7.5, 3 stars) - I was expecting this potato salad to be chunky. To be fair, it did say mashed potato on the menu. Small fish roes were mixed in the mashed potato, which added an interesting crunch.Spicy shrimp & scallop ($11, 3 stars) - generous portions of shrimp and scallops, but it was WAY TOO SALTY. I ended up finishing it with the okonomiyaki.Yaki onigiri with sea urchin ($7.5, 3 stars) - the uni was not the freshest Ive had but the rice ball was grilled nicely. I would try the chazuke one (the grilled rice ball is soaked in tea).Pork & Kimchi Okonomiyaki ($13.95, 3 stars) - there was too much batter in this okonomiyaki, also a lot of sauce. I like the pancake to be crispier so I think it should be cooked longer.Garlic Mayo Seafood Yakisoba - ($17.95, 3 stars) - yakisoba is just soba noodle first cooked then grilled, and this one was nothing special. The garlic mayo had a good kick to it.Tip: Be careful with the HOT metal plate in the middle of the table. Its there to keep the food warm rather than cooking the food. Nonetheless, it may be extremely hot and simply touching it can burn your finger.

2021-09-25 13:01:16Why you should visit this place at least once:- Excellent customer service across servers- Appetizers- Japanese Okonomiyaki experience, though they added a lot of cheese to the otherwise traditional dish- Ramune soda, a Japanese soft drink which my 11 year old really enjoyed; so much so that we ended up visiting several Japanese grocery stores to purchase Ramune after this dining experience
