The good: the flat bread pizzas, fish & chips, location, ambienceThe bad: hostess ( family of 6 with 2 kids, placed an online order via toast to ensure pizzas ready before the location closed based on rave reviews from friends)The restaurant on a Friday evening at 720 pm was about 30% empty and we requested for a spot to sit and have a quick bite (4 seater was enough for 2 kids + 2 seniors)Hostess was having none of it repeating the same 40 minute waitWe finally reached out to the manager (Clari) and she was extremely polite + sensitive to the kids + seniors and helped us get a table for 6 in less than 10 mins - thank you Clari !We will be back ( pizza and fish & chips were great) but the hostess could do with some improvements

Delicious flatbread - my husband said it rivaled a New York pie. The wine is fantastic, as well. They are only open Thursday-Sunday, so I recommend arriving early if you have other people youre dining with or havent made reservations (Im not sure if they take reservations). The place is usually pretty packed, and its popular for a reason!

Warm inviting place to stop in for lunch or dinner. They bake your flatbreads to order in the wood burning oven inside the restaurant. This oven also makes the place a warm and inviting place on a winter’s day. In addition to flatbread they have salads, sandwiches and usually a main dish, presently a meatloaf that was generous enough for two people for lunch.

This place was incredible. You can tell the ingredients are super fresh and the flavors were unforgettable me. The value of the food was great too. Great drink selection. Lots of local beer and wine. We sat outside and enjoyed dinner al fresco with heaters. The staff was friendly. Pictures include mushroom risotto and the smoked cauliflower soup. We also got the arugula persimmon salad which was delicious, as was the Coachella Valley Date and Bacon flatbread. YUM!

I love going to this place over and over again. The way they make their Pizza 🍕 is awesome. They actually have a big 😳 Pizza Oven that uses wood to cook and it makes the Pizza taste 😋 really good. The staff is very friendly and polite and the location is big and great for families 👪. They have other dishes but I always go for the Pizza. The location is in the middle of nowhere a small town off the freeway but worth going there. They have indoor and outdoor dining. If you are around the area you have to try it 😉 you will love it. Sorry 😞 I only have this picture but I was hungry 😋 😅 we were wine 🍷 tasting around the area. Next time I will take more pictures.

We stumbled upon this gem thanks to a recommendation from our server at a wine tasting room in Solvang. We were soooo happy we did. It was a great vibe and the food was awesome. Top 5 pizza in the U.S. for me. So happy we stopped here spontaneously

This is my all-time Favorite Restaurant! I love the food, the staff, the vibe, the farm-to-table focus. Such a great place for ‘foodies’! And a great place to go during covid😩! You sit outside. I wish we could have stayed longer and ordered everything on the menu!Many of the flatbreads can be made vegan by substituting the vegan cheese, and their ready-made vegan flatbread was delightful!We each got a pint from the tap and then shared an interesting sake-based drink. I also ordered the apricot shrub, which was delightful!The staff were very conscientious and I didnt feel interrupted or bothered, but still well attended to. We got a bottle of shrub to take home and at least three staff were ready to help us when we asked.I really hope we get to go again soon! What a treasure to have in Central California!!!

Cool place, great atmosphere. Wait for a table in the back by the brick oven to see all the delicious food cooked in it. Oh and buy the person working the oven a beer! The night we went they had a Ukrainian menu to honor them. Good food, beautiful local artwork throughout, local wine and beer.

As the name of the restaurant would suggest, their flatbreads are their thing. Cooked in a wood-fired oven, they do not disappoint. There are some very creative ingredient combinations for the flatbreads and I would say there is something to satisfy everyone. The brownie with the big lump of marshmallow, which is toasted up inside the wood fire oven, is also pretty amazing! The selection of appetizers is hit or miss, depending on what is available in the local markets. The appetizers do seem to be also quite expensive. On the cooler days, one can be seated inside where the big oven keeps everything nice and comfortable. On the days of nicer weather, sitting outside in the garden is available and quite nice. The one thing that REALLY needs to be addressed though is the parking to the left side of the building. There is a very deep rut as one comes off the road and my car bottomed out quite badly. I can see on some very low riding vehicles there is a potential for some serious damage due to the condition of the parking lot.

Nothing was good or right with our experience here. Ordered to go, wait was 20 minutes haha waited almost 1hour. Got home and got wrong order. Pizza ordered was a vegan, surprise to find it was a sausage pizza when we got home. Finally ask about our order and ohh here it comes later, COLD easy to heat yuck but wasnt what we ordered. Should have left it there cause had to trash it anyway. Vegans DO NOT eat meat. Wont ever go back.

We used to love this place and havent been in a while. The food was mediocre this visit, customer service near non-existent and the food safety atrocious.Usually Id talk to a manager, but every individual had such a blatant disregard for food safety and cleanliness that there was no point. All staff including anyone who would be the manager, were a part of this disregard to food safety. I cant even imagine whats happening in BOH where you cant see since all this was out in the open customer viewable zones.They literally let a dog sniff around the kitchen and put its face and paws on the paper that they then served the customers pizza on. It was an employee, owner or managers dog by the look of interactions with their staff. It didnt faze the staff in the slightest to have it wandering in and out of the kitchen, then outside and back in. Was very obvious it was not a service dog.Watched 2 employees pick their noses and then handle plates and food. Of the 7+ people in and out of food preparation zones, only one had a hair net and only one other a hat.Watched multiple times while staff picked up dirty customer plates and then not washing hands before handling prep or other peoples food.Disgusting and an embarrassment to food establishments. Im at an absolute loss to what has happened at this place. Everyone needs some major training.

We arrived on a Saturday around 5ish. It was busy but not crazy. We waited 10 minutes for a table. We ordered a half Coachella and half pepperoni and peppers. Both were so yummy. It looks like a pizza but is flat bread cooked in a wood-fired oven. Its cut in strips instead of typical pizza slices. For dessert we split the apple cake with creme fraiche raisin ice cream. Im not a fan of raisins but this was amazing. The apple cake was perfect and the ice cream on top was even more perfect. I live in Washington state and was thinking it would be worth the 2-hr flight to Santa Barbara and the drive from there to this restaurant to have this dessert again. Oh, and the service was excellent, too!

We went on a Thursday right as they opened. The pizza oven is center stage and you can watch them shift the pizzas around as they bake. The room is very low key with several small tables and a couple of large ones.We had the Japanese-Inspired Kimchi Pancake starter. It was really wonderful and we kind of wish we had just gotten two of them. We also had the Central Coast Sausage Flatbread which was pretty tasty, but I wish it had more sausage on it.We shared the Fresh Juiced Ginger, Turmeric and Citrus Spritz. The flavor is very intense. I dont know what this drink would be complementary to. It didnt pair well with the food items we ordered.We do recommend and will go back sometime.

My family and I decided to take a little detour on our family trip and chose to stop at Full of Life Flatbread. This place had been hyped up by a lot of our friends giving us high hopes. We sit down after waiting 15 minutes (they had 2 staff members down), and get straight to ordering. We get a salad, margerita, and sausage pizza. While we wait for our food the employees are rushed and unorganized as they curse right infront of us and our kids. Non of them look happy and seem like they are just trying to get through the shift. While we were waiting my first beer arrived warm and not full. Seemed like it had been set out on the bar and sipped out of. Wasnt good. Finally, after waiting 40 minutes for two pizzas. 40. Minutes. We get our food, and in contrast to the service, our sausage pizza was pretty good. The margerita not so much, but not terrible either. It had barely any cheese and the basil was replaced by lumps of pesto. Ew. The salad was good and was thoroughly enjoyed, a nice suprise. Overall, this place has mediocer food (nothing special) and poor service. I wouldnt go again. Save your money.

This place serves delicious pizza. They have a regular menu and then a weekend menu that changes every weekend. They use quality ingredients and you can taste it. From the dining area you can see how they are preparing the pizzas and also the brick oven where they are cooking the food. Do not forget to try the beast... a delicious dessert consisting of a warm brownie, topped with a melted marshmallow and a side of vanilla ice cream.

We were on our way north for the weekend and had heard about this place for several friends so we decided to stop by and give it a try. It exceeded our expectations. We started with an absolutely delicious chanterelle mushroom soup. The soup alone would have earned an excellent rating. My visit to this restaurant was well below my expectations. Two stars is generous. First; the place is filthy dirty. The Mens bathroom was worse than some gas stations I have used. Made me question the kitchen status. Food is ok.....but we ordered 2 salads that arrived 15 minutes apart and our pizza took 45 minutes to arrive. Not once did our waitress come by our table and alert us of any delay or ask if we needed more to drink. She was very unattractive. Pizza crust is very flavorful and unlike what you will find at a traditional Italian joint that uses 00 flour. Is that flax seed flour in it? However, I’ve found that as good as the flatbreads are, the real stars are the weekly specials. Had an amazing chanterelle mushroom mac and cheese (my 10 year old said it’s the best mac and cheese ever, better than Beecher’s in Seattle). Cold chanterelle salad and warm cabbage stuffed with chanterelles were also amazing. Can you tell it was a chanterelle focused special menu. They change the special menu each week and usually post it a few days ahead of time. No reservations so get there early or prepare for a wait.

We went on a Friday - the place was very busy. The wait time was supposed to be about 40 mins, but we got seated after 20, outside, which was perfect during summer.For gluten-free people: they make gluten-free pizza/flatbread for $3.00 more.In the meantime, we got a glass of wine from the bar and checked out the vegetable garden.Once seated, we started with the carrot salad (quite unusual, with strips of seaweed, soy sauce and vinegar, but very delicious) and the regular house garden salad, moved on to the sausage flatbread (sausage, mushrooms and caramelized onions, very very delicious) and finished with the smores, yum!Service was good, a little slow, which was perfect for us, coz we wanted to enjoy ourselves and we werent in a rush anyways.The place is kid and dog friendly and the atmosphere relaxed.Once it got darker, the bistro lights came on...And they have an extensive wine list of local wineries.And even clean bathrooms!!Overall I can recommend 😊

Great food is one thing. Great service is quite another. We basically arranged a road trip around having dinner here, and it was worth it! The food was above expectation with great flavors (bacon, dates, and arugula a complete winner, and a brownie for dessert that could give a soufflé a run for its money), and crust that didnt disappoint. What made our evening though was the service that went so far above and beyond the call of duty (they went to the store to get a hard cider for us after forgetting to tell us they were out, and then comped us one for our inconvenience!). Who does that?! Staff combined friendly with absolutely no pretense, and the whole experience made our dinner just taste that much better. I really really wanted to have a great dining room experience. We were set outside under heated propane heaters. We ordered the quail appetizer and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend this plate. Small portion of quail leaves you begging for more. We ordered the pizza house large. I was also looking forward to this pizza however it was lacking flavor and taste. The pizza was very blah. Unsatisfying and a little pricey. I would not recommend the pizza here. Order to glasses of Chardonnay house. I could do better most any place and the wine was on the high side as far as expensive. I was not happy with the wine. However I have to give this place a 9 for ambiance. The evening lights let my dates eyes with little sparkles from the bulbs that lit our table. Nice place to come and have a beer and enjoy the heated lamps above your table. I would recommend a beer here not wine and some chicken wings rather quail with beer would be a nice compliment but not the pizza.

I’ve eaten here numerous times. The food is always inventive and usually very good! The last 2 times I’ve been there I have been disappointed though…the first time was when they had their annual dinner for the anniversary weekend of Anthony Bourdain’s passing. They offered a special dinner for the weekend. We drove 1 hour to get there and showed up at 5pm on Saturday, well before dinner rush and all of Sunday, and they had already sold out of the dinner. That was highly disappointing since we traveled there specifically for that. This last time we came for Sunday dinner. We ordered a salad and their turkey mole supper. The salad was served without tomatoes, even though they were listed on the menu. We inquired about it and they said they were out and offered a 25% discount on the salad to make up for it…Then we left and I realized they didn’t include the fermented dates that were listed on the menu for the turkey dish. I kept thinking something wasn’t right when eating it and didn’t realize it until we left. They replaced it with radicchio. It’s one thing to run out of ingredients, but it’s another to serve dishes trying to pass them off like there’s nothing different about them. I feel like that’s dishonest and rubs me the wrong way. You should really let your customers know if there is a dish that has been modified. I would have ordered differently had I known.

The food is fantastic and they have a great selection of wine and beer.I went for lunch by myself on the weekend and enjoyed a beautiful sunny day out front. The personal-sized pizza was plenty.I also went there for a dinner date to try some other options including dessert and it was all lovely. We enjoyed sitting by the pizza oven and watching the pizzas being baked.They do not take reservations, but we did not have to wait long for a table of two on a busy night.

Gave 4* because their pizza is served Sm or Lg but the GF pizza is only served in the Sm size with a steep $5 upcharge (the server didnt explain it but told us after we received our micro-pizza). An extra $5 on a $12 micro-pizza feels hefty and knowing that in advance wouldve been our only request today. We will be back for sure but have a better understanding now.

The last time I was here I left feeling disappointed.. and this time was no different. The service felt scattered and frantic. The girl next to us was EXTREMELY over served and when I let the server know she openedOne of the room temperature display drink and mentioned she was very over served (I haven’t seen someone drunk at a bar like that since I was 22) I was informed she was a local and a regular……….. soooo that makes it ok??? Then that server mentioned she might have been high cause she owns a weed farm???? I know the difference between stoners and drunks and this chick was very intoxicated meaning she was over served at that bar. That part I guess is a side note. The food was fine? Almost no dressing on the salad and the pizza was just ok. Our bartender was nice but not very warm. I guess I just miss feeling welcomed into a place. It almost felt as if because we aren’t local regulars we were second to the other patrons. A very off vibe and this isn’t the only time I have had this experience. Honestly I just think we won’t be going back.

What a great drive to Los Alamos unfortunately that was the best part. My 4 cheese & herb cheese was unremarkable & with 4 cheeses there was no distinction between them. My friends mushroom, cheese & herb pizza was as tasteless as mine. No flavor with the cheeses & the mushrooms over took the entire flavor notes. Neither one of us would order again.Service was great & there is plenty of outdoor seating. There are many steps to get to the front & dont know if there is handicapped access.Cost for a small was a little high but wont have minded if it was special but it wasnt.

If I could give zero stars on this visit I would. I want to say before I rant this was one of my family’s favorite spots to come pre Covid. Their flatbread, desserts, beverages and staff were amazing. Not really sure what has happened over the months. We were very excited to come back here knowing they had outdoor dining. We checked in at 430. Staff was very cold. I ordered drinks for myself, son and wife. My wife’s mask wasn’t quite over her nose when we ordered drinks. Staff member told my wife to fully cover her nose because people close to him have died from Covid, which immediately made me and my family feel uncomfortable and wonder has he been exposed and are we going to get Covid now???? After waiting an 1 1/2 hrs I decided to ask the waitress if our table is getting close to being ready. Her eyes got big as they made a mistake and said it would be another 30 minutes. Geez that brought our wait to 2 hours which is ridiculous, at this point my family is starving and the only option was to wait an additional 30 minutes to be seated. Finally after waiting two long hours we got a table!!!! Staff came out pretty quickly to take out order. Once again not very friendly which is unusual. Staff notified us there are no large pizzas available only small. Whatever not a big deal. We ordered smalls. When our pizzas were served the amount of toppings were way weaker than the normal. Maybe an ounce of protein on our pizzas. They didn’t give us any flatware or napkins with our food until we asked and then they brought us 1 napkins. So kind. We are extremely disappointed in the overall service experience. Being a local we love supporting locally owned businesses. I guess at this point they only care about the tourist. I will make sure that my family and friends will not be visiting this establishment in the near future unless there is significant changes...... Extremely bummed about this experience.

Lovely gem off the beaten path. Amazing ambiance at the bar, or in seating around the custom oven, and outside among the garden and picnic benches. Try something new to you, their dishes are creative and take advantage of in season produce, etc. Excellent selection of local wines and if you dont imbibe, try their flavored lemonade. Great service, and yes, get the dessert.

Very unprofessional. Upon arrival one of my guest with me had a tray of water spilled on him. No offering of any sort for clean up for them. My party said they were cold and asked for a heater. The server Christan was trying to accommodate he said the rules were that he couldnt so my party moved on from it. It was later that another table across from us had 2 heaters moved toward there table so we asked again. The GM came out very unprofessional and said he didnt realize what was going on and he should have moved them. Honestly I understand during this time it can be very hard but communication in this establishment is nonexistent. I also talked to the owner at the bar and he was very condescending toward me. After being told I am unprofessional, I left and went to pay my bill. I heard the GM say to the server you arent getting a tip from them! I payed my bill and gave the server a decent tip also told him personally he should find a new job because his establishment was very unprofessional. Hands down worst dining experience Ive ever had.

The food is great but the wait staff were not able to manage our large group. My appetizer never arrived. When asked about it, the waitress didnt realize it had never been delivered. It had been taken to another table. The kitchen seemed overwhelmed by the party as well.We did have a very large party so I will be willing to try Full of Life again for a night out for just two.

Really enjoy the food here. Good wine and beer selection. Yes they have a stone pizza oven but its out in the main seating area. Often bake other things in it. Quite the art to it, interesting to watch. Many of the tables are banquet style and right near it. Do not take the 2 top next the bus station if you have an aversion to being splashed occasionaly. Parking is supposed to be in the lot behind it. Then its a long maybe dark walk back and forth. Many park in the dirt/mud lot next door. Dont be offended when some locals get shuffled ahead of you. Still worth it.

Service was terrible.I was in a large group and the pizza I ordered was given to a different person at our table because the waiter didn’t call it the same thing that was on the menu. She started eating it and pizza she was supposed to have came out and the waiter just switched them. She had already started eating it so I got a partially eaten pizza was no apology. This place used to be amazing, always great service. Ever since COVID things are going downhill. I went here about 4 months ago and when I got the bill I saw charges for sparkling water, oil and vinegar (we like to dip the pizza in that) and a COVID surcharge??? The sparkling water used to be free and so were the extras. I can understand that it was tough on businesses this past year but come on… the server didn’t even mention it would be an additional cost. The same thing happened over this weekend, I wanted to give it another chance but nothing changed, furthermore the hostess didn’t even greet us, she just grabbed the menus and said follow me, didn’t even ask how many people we had in our party as we were meeting with friends and the table we first sat down at was not big enough, we had to get seated again. And once again, the COVID surcharge. I eat out numerous times during the week and no other restaurant has imposed a “COVID surcharge” fee. It’s a bad look, not to mention that post about the owner putting your food on the ground to take a photo of it and then serving it to you that surfaced a couple months ago.

I make a beeline for this place whenever Im near Los Alamos. Great stopping spot very near highway 101 if youre on a road trip. Their flatbread ( read: gourmet pizza ) is cooked in their wood-fired pizza oven out in the dining room. Nice selection of micro-brews on tap and California wines. Reasonably priced. But Full of Life really is in this tiny California town with its handful of antique stores, horse floats and the occasional Harley Davidson.Food comes from only a few hours drive and the beers are all hyper local too. I drive by all the time after work for at least a year or so now, and its always packed. My sweet girl and I were checking out antiques in Los Alamos, built up a little bit of an appetite and, lo and behold, on the way back to good old Lompoc, west on the 135, the second-to-last business as you leaving Los Alamos is flatbreads. You cant miss it all the cars are parked in and around with a little bit of organized chaos put the matter is to eat, so parking isnt the priority here. They have a nice pub soon as you walk in with great atmosphere good people. The hostess will take you back to the dining room where youll see huge fire brick oven for the flatbread . As you sip on your favorite IPA, Ale or lager you can be entertained by the cook and staff.they have more than just let red they got a great menu to choose excellent food. They do more than flat bread, a great menu with good fun food. So grab your date, grab your appetite and your pocket book, Flatbread and the staff are waiting. Open till 8 on Sundays. Thank you! Food is top notch and deserves 4.5 stars but the service is very spotty and at times, a one star is gracious. I have dined here 4 times and 2 of the times have been some of the worst service Ive experienced, so its a 50/50. I normally give places the benefit of the doubt the first time as mistakes can be made and people can have a bad day but multiple problems prompts a need to communicate. Recently, I was seated with my wife on the patio and we were asked to move to a table with one chair, out from under the heater so that another set of patrons could move under the heater. Flatbread is why Los Alamos exists as the foodie Mecca it is today. Even with all the new dining options in town, Flatbread holds its own. Worth the 45 minute drive north from Santa Barbara just for the food - a large portion of the menu rotates weekly based on whats in season and there are always some off-the-menu items too, so dont hesitate to ask! Also super kid friendly if you come early and get an outside table - theres a large garden filled with happy youngins playing between the tomatoes and the artichokes between bites of pizza and everybody is super chill about it, so let your kids run free and have an amazing meal.
