Unexpectedly, unbelievably good. We had chicken ramen, vegan ramen, chicken/leek gyoza, and mushroom bao. The ramen is outstanding.Seriously, cannot wait to eat here again.

So I went there and it was really expensive...I was given a plate that could only satisfy an ant, or a similarly sized, small creature and then was promptly charged 24$ for it....The ambiance is basically a Bernie Sanders Rally Pre Game with out of place fedora hats and young UCSC students, whom certainly cant afford the food, that dress like transients.Full steam DUMP-lings really is a steamy pile of DUMP-lings in this fine city. I would honestly recommend Panda Expresses Orange Chicken, which tastes better and you get more than 5 noodles all together for $27.You have to love full steam DUMP-lings, recently responded to a similar 1/5 star review by saying they work really hard in the kitchen and thus should be respected however, thats not factual since they are only open WEDNESDAY TO SUNDAY. HAHA. Kind of lazy. Then they have the nerve to charge you 27 dollars for a few small noodles inside some flavored water.Thankfully there is a steady flow of UCSC students all hopped up on cannabis and their parents hard earned money to keep them going. Please save your money, and spend some more time studying and try to make your parents proud.

We have been eagerly waiting for an eatery like Full Steam Dumpling to enter the food scene in Santa Cruz. Andy’s delicious panAsian dishes are made with flavorful organic, farm fresh ingredients, and hit the spot every time! Fingers crossed there are enough patrons in this town who value their quality to support the continued growth of their business. We’d love to see them open a restaurant. We would be there all the time

I thought I was supporting a small local business, but little did I know how rude and unprofessional the workers there are. They think they are above everyone and can treat people as they see fits. After commenting on their latest instagram that was posted on October 11th 2023, and sharing my opinion as a loyal customer about how their food is over priced. They told me to go to Trader joes & pick some frozen dumplings instead, and then followed by another recently deleted comment telling me to go to panda express (I posted screen shots of these comments on yelp and still plan to share them on google). Ive never felt so disrespected, especially since I spend a good amount of money on their food, and always tip 20% and above for a self serve restaurant.Flavor is decent, but portions are small. And for an unappreciative business it might cost you less to go over SF or SJ for better ramen with more appreciative host who dont talk down to their customers.

Here in Santa Cruz there are not many great options when it comes to Asian style cuisine. I had heard from word of mouth that this place opened relatively recently and was really good and not just by Santa Cruz standards. My partner and I both got Full Steam Bao and two Ramen bowls. It totaled almost $70 without tax or tip which hurt but I figured if it tasted great it would be worth it - everything tasted terrible. The ramen was flavorless and the meat was hard as was the order of bao. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement after reading the reviews and hearing what people had mentioned about this place. Only upside was how kind the hostess was in taking our orders. Bettys Noodles remains the sole decent ramen/pho restaurant Id be willing to go to in this area 2/5.

Expensive but very very good! Great flavor on the ramen and the gyoza. Great ambiance both inside and outside (live band was also there). For sure will be back!

I’m no ramen expert but I know good food when I taste it and this was excellent. My husband and 1 year old son loved it too. In addition to the ramen, we got the incredible gyoza. The atmosphere is also so friendly, inviting and totally family friendly.

One of the best Manhattans happens here. Excellent atmosphere, wonderful bar. If you like spicy, salty food this is perfect for you.

Ramen was $20 and not very hot. Nothing very special. Eggs were good. Broth was Watery, and under seasoned. Bowl of ramen was no where near full. for that price?. Dumplings had too much carrot. Over hyped or they need to work on doing quantity.
