Small, intimate Japanese restaurant. Food was good and favorable. Had Spicy Ramen and eel bowl. Place is very small. You may have to wait for a table. We got there just after they opened. And we were the last table to get in. Located upstairs.

Ramen at its finest. Couldn’t really ask for anything more. They also had amazing karaage and eel dishes. It’s small inside, so you have to time your visit carefully if you don’t want to wait too long to be seated. However, if you were to wait, the ramen and the rest of the food are definitely worth the wait. We will be back soon to experience the rest of the menu!

We were craving ramen, and we love Maru ramen’s bone broth, but Maru isn’t open for Sunday lunch so we decided to try a competitor that is basically across the street. Once there we recognized the place as a place we were rather unimpressed with before, but decided to give it another try.Glad we did! The food was tasty, and good portions and value. I like that there was a g.ood variety of options too. Server was friendly -place was busy but didn’t have to wait too long

A great find hidden on the second floor of a busy strip mall.Have had their curry twice now and loved it each time! The curry itself is really flavorful without being salty and the vegetables are perfectly incorporated. The katsu, chicken in the photo, is incredibly tender yet very crispy on the outside. Not oily or overly breaded and with a great bite all the way through.The side salad is yummy and I love the small plate of pickled veggies you get when you first sit down. Service is incredibly friendly and given the area the pricing is very reasonable. Especially given that the portions are quite size-able and well balanced.Will definitely come back and recommend you make the trip if you are on the fence.

If you’re in and around Northridge, you HAVE to try Futaba. This little nook has some of the most satisfying ramen I’ve ever had. With a menu that’s not too big and definitely not too small, there’s something for everyone. From spicy miso to Tonkatsu. Their Dipped bowl is one of my favorites but there’s some other strong contenders too!! Their service is always amazing too. Their outdoor seating is the perfect spot for a cozy dinner.

Perfect for first dates or small gatherings of friends.Went here with 5 friends and had a small 5 minute waiting period, but compared to other places, the waiting time was better. As for the food, it was amazing. The ramen was of a high quality, and their appetizers were equally amazing.10/10 would recommend if youre looking to support a smaller restaurant.

So I was looking for some Ramen around town while Im here from Texas. Not only is this place super close but Holy Cow is this place good! Atmosphere is like being in a small hole in the wall Ramen joint in Japan. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I have only sampled the Gyoza (pot stickers), Shoyu (Soy sauce) and Spicy Miso Ramen; but it was all delicious. They keep some garlic soy sauce at the table that goes nicely with your ramen. Come check it out.

I first tried Futaba about a year ago and haven’t stopped craving it since. I live out of state, but whenever I visit this is the place I beg to go. Intimate atmosphere with a lovely staff. Everyone is so kind and treats you like family. The food is out of this world they are masters of their craft. You can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. They are also really affordable; about $12 for a generous bowl of ramen. They play Korean popular music and anime theme songs at a comfortable volume which always makes my day. I love eating here alone and with large groups of family/friends.

This is my number one go to ramen place! I go at least once or twice a month-sometimes more! The food is amazing and portions are large but not overwhelming. It is a tiny little place so on the weekends you can expect to wait outside and wait for your name to be called. Always a good experience coming here.

This is my favorite ramen place in the Valley. However, the last time I was there, me and my wife kept getting passed up on the wait for a table.We arrived around 8pm and there were 2 other entries ahead of us on their waiting list. The first entry was a table of 3 and they were seated about 10 minutes after we arrived. Then another table of 2 were also seated shortly after. Other parties started to show up and added their names to the waiting list. As we waited, others with 3+ people (that showed up later than us) started to ask how long the wait would be and the older lady would seat them immediately. At this time, I can see that there were 2 other tables open. I questioned her on why we had to wait and thats when she sat us immediately. By this time it was almost 9pm and I was super annoyed. I may opt to drive to Sherman Oaks instead of eating here from now on.

One of the best Ramen places in the valley. The wait can be long at peak hours, but grab a Boba next door and wait it out. Trust me, its worth it. The pork belly melts in your mouth and the fried rice tastes just like Benihanas. The staff is very friendly. Pro tip, ask for an extra egg. 😉🥚

I prefer them to be blistered rather than cooked all the way through, but they had a good flavor.My friends all had some form of ramen, and Im glad they had veggie options because I dont eat pork. Our first time had a bad experience ..Food was good after my husband got the worste food poisoning ever !! He was throwing up for 5 hours and feeling sick for the whole entire day and coudn’t do anything at all ..I thought I would come back to this place again knowing it’s rated 4 stars and they also messed up on my to go order which I still have a credit for ..I wouldn’t think we would be able to come back anymore...The lady who was helping was very nice and all.. I have always been extremely satisfied here. The layout of the restaurant gives the feeling of being in someones home, and the food gives grandma quality comfort.The futaba ramen is rich and creamy. The butter shio ramen is lighter but still so satisfying.They have an appetizer called crispy shrimp. Unless youre allergic to shellfish, you absolutely have to try it. Its crunchy, creamy, spicy, and wonderful. Each morsel melts in your mouth. I could eat my weight in these little shrimps and still crave more.There are vegetarian options, too, giving a large variety of dishes for the whole family.This will continue to be my go to ramen spot whenever the craving arises.
