Best Korean Barbecue. The staff is really nice and robots bring your food! They have many meat options and yummy sides. They have a lunch special m-f for $22.99 and dinner and weekends for $30.99. Highly recommend!

I went for lunch on a Sunday day so its $30 all you can eat. The service was very good and I enjoyed all the options. My favorite was the spicy beef bulgogi and Cajun shrimp. I also like the veggies to grill. It was a really fun experience and we were so full after!

First time trying this KBBQ. The place is nice and spacious. It was pretty busy when we got there, but we only had to wait around 10 minutes to get a table. Their order system is very easy to understand. Theres a tablet on every table for you to order the sides and meats, then the robot will go deliver it at your table. There is still staff going around with refills for drinks and keeping everything clean. They dont really have a huge variety of things to pick from on the menu, but their meats are fresh and good quality. Everything tasted delicious. Plus, its such a fun experience to have a cat robot deliver your meal while it plays a song.

AYCE (All you can eat) and they got robots!! Well, its more gimmicky than actually useful but hey its a pretty fun novelty.Get on that Yelp waitlist because this place gets BUSY. On a Friday evening before 5pm the wait said 20-30 minutes. We werent exactly ready to eat yet so we waited until 530pm... in which the wait turned into 2 hours.Service for this Friday late dinner service was quite slow and took awhile to get most of our starter dishes which got a little annoying but the 4 of us still had a good time hanging out. They were still really friendly when they did come around though!For $40 per person, its only decent quality meats. Nothing too special but they have a few cuts that were pretty tasty.Food: 6/10Service: 6/10Atmosphere: 7/10Value: 5/10

THE BEST KBBQ place I have ever been to. The staff was so kind and respectful. The waitress explained all the rules and pricing before serving us. I LOVE the iPads for easy access and the robot that brings the food. The food was so FLAVORFUL AND MELTED IN YOUR MOUTH. The ribeye literally was so tender and juicy and the marinated bulgogi and pork belly was perfect! I left feeling so full and satisfied for only 30 including my wine!! My only negative thing to say is that I’m scared I’ll never find a kbbq as good as this one!

The good was so delicious and there was so many food options. You don’t have to wait for a server to order or bring your food. You place the order on the iPad and a robot brings your food out in a short amount of time. I am still dreaming of eating here again because it was so good.

It is one of the hidden (or not-so-hidden, in that case) gems that you will find in Oceanside, and for good reason. Theyve got an excellent selection of food. However, the robot servers are truly the stars of the show. Whenever they serve the food, the crowd goes wild. I highly recommend Gaja Korean BBQ for a unique dining experience!

AYCE for under $25 per person. Lets start with that! Quality of service today was outstanding, Alicia was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable when asked questions. Portions are small but thats not a bad thing, i was able to order almost the entire menu and didnt waste food. The ordering system is simple and fast, the robots steal the show and bring the food out pretty quickly. Now the food, has so much flavor and its tasty.When i tell you Im a KBBQ connoisseur, Im not joking.This place has currently out thrown my favorite spot in DTLA...by many ways, make a reservation tho, because there is always a wait time. Great for date night, business meetings and friends gatherings.Enjoy.

This was an amazing experience!! Our party of four had the BEST time here. We loved the entire experience, the meat was delicious and marinated perfectly, the service was fantastic and they had these CAT ROBOTS!!! We were THRILLED. They played music and were super cute and fun to interact with. I was looking for a good AYCE korean BBQ place and Gaja is definitely in the top tier of places I tried in San Diego. The meat quality is good for AYCE and the service is SUPER fast (the robots come within 10 minutes or less of placing your order). Other Korean BBQ places in San Diego with AYCE usually take much longer to bring meat/side dishes/drinks/etc., but Gajas service is so fast that I couldnt cook the meat fast enough! You do have to flag down a human server to change the grill (wish they would just add it to the tablet as an option), but thats pretty typical of KBBQ places in San Diego. The meat is also pretty good quality for AYCE (some cuts are definitely better than others). The place is pretty loud so conversations are difficult, but we went during peak business hours.If youre looking for a good AYCE korean bbq place in San Diego, I would definitely stop by Gaja.

I traveled 40 mins to get my Korean BBQ in Oceanside. Highly recommend this place. I challenge you to try everything on the menu. It’s $30 all you can eat dinner and $22 all you can eat for lunch. Delicious food. Great meat quality and seasoning. So far I havent been disappointedWill come back again for sure

Korean BBQ pro here!!Pros:For the price this place is amazing!! $29.99 per person (dinner price on Sunday night), all you can eat, watching the robots was cool too, meat was good quality!! They had seafood, beef, pork and chicken options. As well as multiple veggie items. Also,Got sat right away with our Yelp reservation! And!!! Wait there’s more! Hagen Daas ice cream is included with dinner at no additional charge. Vanilla, Strawberry, Chocolate and Coffee flavor offered on menu.Cons:Robots bring multiple tables food at same time.Robots still need server assistance to put the food plate to the table, if the server isn’t there when the robot shows up, people take what they want off the robot, so sometimes it gets scrambled up and take what isn’t theirs. I saw a server coming and someone had taken a wrong item off, so the server took it off their table and gave them the correct one. So possible people touching your food? I’m sure this bug will get worked out, as this was grand opening. Servers ended up bringing most of our food manually. Also, only Vanilla or Chocolate ice creams were available. Strawberry and Coffee were sold out.Overall a great time and good food! Would come again!! 😁😁😁

10 STARS!!! I love to cook, so cooking my own food was so fun, but what was amazing was seeing my two young boys faces as they cooked their own food. We had a blast!!! We had the robotic waiter, which was super cute, and my kids got a kick out of, but we also had the sweetest and most attentive human waitress, didnt get her name, and she was excellent! We can not wait to go back! Next time we will bring the whole extended family!

My pregnant fiance and I came and had the best experience weve ever had at a Korean BBQ restaurant the staff is very friendly and the food is off the hook🔥 my personal favorite was the spicy beef bulgogi that was 10 out of 10! The staff is super friendly and attentive and and Bella the robot is one of the coolest things weve ever seen its a robot that brings your food to your table and sings songs as its moving and will even sing happy birthday to you on that special day! Ms Vianey was so kind and helpful my fiance was so happy and Ms Vianey and the rest of the staff made this a 10 out of 10 experience and we cant wait to come back and enjoy it again and again and again!

Tried making a reservation ahead of time, you are not allowed u less your party is over 6. Got to the restaurant just to be greeted by a yelp tablet to sign up for the wait list (this should have been mentioned in the website somewhere) wait time was not bad since its Tuesday; it was estimated 5 min, ended up being 10 no complain here. Food was good, service was great. The vacuum/range system could get some tuning, I smell like Korean bbq now.

Great place for all you can eat for adults but with kids if they are more than 50” tall it’s full price as adult not really worth the money because most 8 years old are more than 50” tall and they can not eat that much. Over all my family still had a great time.

This was such a fun restaurant to eat at! Entertainment wise they have robots that bring you food while singing, and food wise it was really delicious! You cook everything yourself on a little grill in the middle of your table, but I think seeing the robots pass by your table makes this a unique and fun experience.

Just came here for the first time with my husband and probably won’t come back1. No one gives you instructions on how to do anything. The waitress came around every 15+ minutes.2. The food was soooo bland. I got a whole ribeye and all I had for “seasoning” was the provided sauce and oil they give you. No salt, pepper, ANYTHING. I also tried to eat the steak and they don’t have any knives. Just a scissor on the table.3. The table was pretty dirty when we sat down and I had to clean it and the iPad you use to order was covered in fingerprints and grease.4. They give you plates to eat with but they are appetizer plates. Don’t have anything bigger..5. Lastly, they forgot some of our items so we never got to eat them.I was expecting for $31 a person, we’d have more direction and wayyyy better food

First time coming to Gaja, and it was packed and had a 30-60 min wait at about 730PM on a Wednesday night.We were able to join the queue around 30 mins before heading to the restaurant and this shortened our wait to around 10mins.Now, the experience:Overall, the options and quality for the price is excellent. We kept ordering and their robot delivery fleet kept coming. Each order is done via a tablet at your table, and they do have a limit of 6 meats items per order. But no hard limits on items like ribeye from what we could tell.As for service, it was great. Again the robots are pretty fast, capable of carrying multiple table orders and taking about 3-5 mins from when you order to arrive at your table.The waiters are also very attentive, even when they are very busy, and they checked up on us to refill sauces, drinks, etc.Unfortunately, they were out of ice cream, but I wont deduct a point for that. We were too full by that time anyways.Would definitely recommend and go again.

Go here, you wont regret it!!! We recently dined here for my stepdaughters 18th birthday and a robot brought her cheesecake and sang happy birthday to her. You have a waiter but you order from an iPad and its all you can eat. The food is delivered by robots. I believe if you order more than you can eat they charge by the pound for your unfinished food but we were careful (but stuffed). You cook your own meat on a grill in the center if your table and for dinner I think it was $32 a person. Our son is almost 3 and he ate for free which is determined by height, not age. He about 2 away from not being free. The waiter will come quickly to change your grill out since it gets smokey if you put anything with sauces on it. We loved the garlic shrimp, spicy beef, ribeye, marinated chicken and pork belly (almost looks like chicken when you grill it, its very tender). I highly recommend this restaurant because its a unique experience, the food was delicious, the atmosphere is modern and fun and its family and celebration friendly. We spent quite a bit because we have a family of 5 but I would definitely say it was worth every penny.

Highly not recommended! Called 30 mins before coming to the store, whomever on the phone told us just come in, party of 4 doesn’t make reservations, we specifically asked how long we would have to wait if coming 30 mins later, just asked us to come in again, mentioned nothing else. When we arrived 30 mins later, the reception was saying we had to wait for 2 hours, didn’t admit they just let us come in, and she was repeating the same words over and over agin, never explained any helpful information at all. Spoke to the manager, and he was like whatever as well. Apparently I guess that’s how they train their employees, and I don’t expect quality foods or service either.

Food is good, meat is tasty and tender. Took off a star because it would be nice to have a ramen soup on the menu and steamed egg. Service was OK, no attention to drink refills but everyone was nice. I was surprised that I had to pay full price for both my kids, 6 and 10 because we are a tall family. I can understand the 10 yr old but my 6 year old is still little and barely eats but because hes tall for his age, more like a 9 yr old and my 10 yr old is the height of a 12 yr they were both full price. For the price Ill go to sonu at least they have ramen and steamed egg on the menu as well with more variety also. They used to give you a small ice cream at the end they also dont do that anymore. Paid $125 with 20% tip for 1 adult and 2 kids (6&10) 1 soda.

Now we don’t have to make that drive down to SM to Manna (esp with the price of gas ha ha ha) For $29.99 their portions are sizable and the quality of meat and seafood was excellent!Bianey was super helpful and friendly! Great place for the price point. The gimmick of robots bringing your food is quite entertaining. But for what *little* the servers have to do, I would think that the drinks would be refilled and the overall service from staff would have been better. Our party of 6 had empty cups most of our time at the table. Had to ask for additional napkins, and remind our server about requests several times. Definitely check the menu online before you to make sure that you like the cuts of meat. Otherwise the veggie plates are a little sparse (though they are unlimited). The table sauces added a lot of flavor! Dont forget to use them!

Went to this nice place but the customer service the server server is horrible we get the supervisor name Mia and she comes to the table because apparently we are being watched while we eat tells us that we would have to pay for an eaten food $12 per pound and it the server tells the other server is picking up plates to not remove any plates from our table and the camera is recording our table to record the waisted food to add to a pound

I saw commercials about the robot bringing food to the table on Instagram and thought it was cool. The service was so so slow and the robot was followed around by a person that placed the food on the table. They even missed a few of our orders. Dont go if you are really hungry, they take forever in bringing your meat out.Today, September 4, 2022, we decided to give it Gaja a 2nd chance. We went to eat and evan ran into some friends but our 11 yr old already ate and we were bringing the girls to the mall afterwards. We asked the wairess if our young daughter can sit with us and she said we need to talk to the manager. The manager came out and said our daughter can sit with us but would have to charge us full price. NO EXCEPTIONS. It was a very hot day and we were not going to make her wait so we left. The restaurant wasnt even full and they lost business. With the economy so bad and so many restaurant going out of business, they should learn to be more accommodating and better customer service skills.Anyways, we went across the street to one of our go to favorite AYCE Korean BQ places called KM Bbq (2216 S El Camino Real #108 #109, Oceanside, CA 92054) and they had no problem with our little one sitting at the table with us. In fact they gave her a beverage and cotton candy.

Burner was not working at our table. Waitress said she knew it hadn’t been working at full heat and sat us at the table anyway. Burner did not cook food because it was barely on. When the situation was pointed out to the waitress she again said “it hasn’t been working right all day”. No offer to move us to another table. It is unsafe to cook foods at that low temp. I get that things break but they did nothing to make the situation right. I had real concerns for the safety of my family cooking chicken on the broken grill. Disappointed by the poor customer service and lack of concern for the public safety hazard that their broken equipment poses to this community.

When I looked around the area we were sitting in the back, it was smoky and the ventilation system wasnt doing its job well. The calamari cake was okay, the popcorn chicken was nothing special and the cheesy corn 🌽 came out cold. The problem with the cheesy corn having to be warmed on the grill is that it takes up room on the grill leave less room to cook the delicious meats. So I would hope that they could warm those in the back to not slow the grilling.Needless to say, I would still visit this restaurant again, just with a better expectation and the fact that everywhere I go after will leave people wanting Korean BBQ.

I did not enjoy my experience here. While it is nicely decorated the atmosphere is loud and its impossible to hold a conversation, unless you want to speak loudly. The ordering system is confusing because its all automated, but there is no instructions - so it takes a little guess work. The service is surprisingly cold, the server came near the table and tossed our rice bowls on to the table, it didnt spill, but it was surprising to experience that. The bathrooms were extremely dirty and soiled. The robot thing is a gimmick that doesnt add value to the overall experience, its just a marketing ploy for people that want to see it in action. There are no other dishes on the menu, just K-BBQ and it wasnt all that good. All that said, we ate with 6 people all the kids were priced as an adult and the total came out to approx: $250 - not super expensive for Korean BBQ, but I just didnt enjoy my experience here and would not go back.

Beautiful restaurant. We had all you can eat for my sons birthday. You order the meat and sides on an iPad type screen and a robot delivers most of it and on occasion a server drops something off. You cook it yourself at a grill in the center of your table. It was delicious and staff was friendly. People do come and check on you periodically and change your grill plate as needed, as well as clear your table and refill your drinks. On the outside it looks like any other place in this strip mall, but once you step in youre greeted by a dazzling water feature. When walking in you can smell a sewer drain which was gross but we decided to try anyways. 30 min wait wasnt bad, table was still dirty when we were sat, there was caked on food on my plate. The quality of the meat is below par, the ingredients of the dressing does not compliment well and the texture is watery. Their spicy Bugolgi is by far the best seasoned in the area. They serve sushi grade seafood and they all melt in your mouth and is well seasoned. You dont even need thr sauce cause the meat is already perfect right off the grill. They have a low hood that catches all the smoke so you dont smell like KBBQ all day. The short ribs are bone in as well which is exceptional. The cat delivery robots are very cool as well.
