First impression is this place has a great style of Korean food, look like some traditional meals of Korean when they want to hang out with friend.Portion is large, nice presentation and well seasoned. I really enjoy the foods since It brought me some new experiences that I havent have from other Korean restaurants.There was one tiny problem I had with the service. I dont know if they dont speak much English or maybe they just tired by the time I visited; the server didnt explain much about the menu when I ask and always forgot my side dish when I asked for extra.Definitely coming back to enjoy the special atmosphere of the restaurant and hope that Ill get a better hospitality from the servers.

Seriously a great place to go if you enjoy gam ja tang ! Their soup never disappoints and always has a really homey and traditional flavor.The service is somewhat slow but if youre kind to the kream waitresses, theyre actually very nice. Someone tried to cut in front of us once and the waitress practically pulled them away from the table and seated us instead - we didnt even say anything nor mention it to her or complain so I was very grateful.The soup itself is wonderful with lots of bones ! I love picking out the meat and getting the marrow. Wouldnt recommend if you dot like getting somewhat dirty. Came with lots of good banchan as well !Remember to get the fried rice at the end of the meal ! They use the thickened leftover soup to make some delicious kimchi fried rice. TBH this is always my favorite part of the meal. Enjoy !

I used to love this restaunter a lot and has been back for a lot of times. However, todays experience made me decide never to be there again. The service was really poor. 1) The waiter was refused my first request to make fried rice as normal. 2) i waited for a couple of mins and requested again. She finanlly coming and cleaned the bowl very rudely and almost spilled soup on my jacket. 3) The waiter didnt complete the process and made a super unsavory rice for us.I never go to there again.

Really excellent, my wife and I have gone a few times now, we basically started at the top of the menu and are working or way down.So far everything has been absolutely delicious.They have a soup with neck bones (or something?) that has a really unique flavor - maybe marinated in wine? I wish I wasnt so bad at remembering the names but its the first item on the lunch menu and its absolutely phenomenal.If you enjoy Korean food and want to go a little deeper than BBQ, Gam Ja Gol is really worth a shot.

The place was not crowded, and the food was delicious. I liked the side dishes. The mixed rice I ordered had lots of veggies. Its a little pricey but, I would recommend the spicy potato soup, which is the main menu.

Very comfortable traditional Korean restaurant. Their Korean appetizer (kimchi, fish cake etc.) is amazing! Their gam is gol is definitely one of the best in the town. We have two people and ordered medium, very tasty.

Best Korean-style pork ribs stew in the LA area. The pork is perfectly cooked. The stew is perfectly seasoned and the broth so satisfying. The best part is the fried rice made at your table at the end of your meal using the left over broth. Its the perfect ending to a perfect meal. Must try!

The spicy pork bone soup is so good. After you finish, they mix in rice to make a really good kimchi fried rice. They also provide a good variety of side dishes. This place can be a little pricey, but they often have Groupon deals. Service can also be a bit slow, but the food is worth it.

We ordered the bone soup, a lettuce wrap pork dish and the bim bim bap. The pork was super fatty, and the bone soup was too salty. Our server was rude and we were often forgotten as we were sat in the back of the restaurant. Not coming back.

What a terrible experience!Came here for lunch one day and the restaurant was empty. Thats already a bad sign. We got the menu and the prices were twice as high as some of the other Korean restaurants in the area. A kalbi dish cost a whopping $24 and there was only 5 small pieces. Wth? And the cut of meat was super fatty and chewy, very low quality.We ordered several dishes to share and everything was very mediocre if not down right terrible. Considering we paid an arm and a leg, that was totally unacceptable!! The service was not attentive and our waitress had an attitude problem, was rude and didnt even smile.Bathrooms are gross. Do NOT come here unless you want bad quality food and pay an arm and a leg for it!

Very good Gamja Tang place. Even though there are no other options in the area, this place sends a solid bowl of Gamjatang. The portions are big, and the prices are fair. Service is friendly, and the menu rounds out your other choices with many items.The small size serves two people very well, the medium is very very sizable and the large is excellent for groups. They dont cheap or on the meat even though you get a lot of bone.

Good place to eat if youre craving some traditional Korean food. Their specialty is a spicy pork bone soup i made with pork spine or ribs, potatoes, vegetables, green onion, hot peppers and ground wild sesame seeds.The vertebrae of the pork is usually separated with bits of meat clinging to them, and is boiled in high temperatures to soften the meat. The meal is usually served with kimchi and other various side dishes. After youre done with the soup, they will then come and cook kimchi fried rice in front of you; using some of your leftover soup broth.

Wife & I came here for gamjatang (pork bone soup) for two and it was we were very impressed, including the fried rice at the end of soup part of the meal (they have aprons on request). Also (on a different occasion) tried their bibimbap and dukmandu (dumpling) soup, both very tasty. I have eaten at both the K-Town location and this site in Rowland Heights, and both were excellent with attentive service even tho I cant speak Korean.Not sure what other rater meant by being empty, b/c on weekends at least, it had good business but not full. Highly recommended.

Ordered a medium with my family of 4 and ended up with leftovers. Definitely happy with the size! The meat was so good, I considered ordering more when I finished. The soup has a lot of peppers inside, so it can be spicy for any children or people who cant tolerate it well.They provide sides that can be refilled. My favorites are the jelly(?) and potatoes. I enjoy the kimchi here the most of the korean restaurants available so far.If the drink selection is small, there us a machine in the lobby that offers small cups of hot drinks. I think they offer coffee, hot chocolate, and I believe the last one is black sesame.At my last visit, they offered a free soda if you texted the number on the little card near the table.

Had 6 adults and 2 babies, so they stick its in the room. The older chubbier lady was our server. I read the reviews before I went and knew she want the best employee, so I expected out service to be mediocre. It was to the point where we rang the bell several times before someone else came into the room. They kind of forget about you in there, so was it just out server. Delicious potato & pork neck bone soup (gamjatang) served family-style. It ranges from $15 to about $45 for the largest pot. Make sure to leave some soup broth for the amazing kimchi fried rice! Pork bossam plate is delicious but they were out when we went but ordered the galbi & it was sweet, tender fall-off-the-bone but a bit to pricy for the serving in my opinion (around $25). The service is hit-or-miss, typical need to flag them down for water or anything else. So four stars for food & service combined but the stars mostly represent the food. Also, if you can - visit the one in K-town just as delicious but served mostly on communal tables similar to the ones in SK.

The taste of the potato ribs pot is basically similar to that of white soup, without any flavor. The ribs should be cooked in a large barrel. There is no meat aroma after turning the fire to a low heat, but the meat is very tender. Fired squid can be priced at 28 yuan, sorry for the expectations. The special small pickles are only given to four (the least of all Korean restaurants I have eaten), and the amount of rice served in the end is extremely small and has no special features. It is better to eat it directly after frying it in the second-use pot. The boss is very fond of Chinese people. There are many special mentions, I dont know what they mean.

If the food is this good, you can almost eat it if you want to eat it or dont eat it.I paid more for the Ugeoji hotpot, but they only added 5 stems of Ugeoji.The meat inside must have been stored in the freezer for a long time before being given away, so there was no seasoning at all, so it felt like seasoning was just applied to boiled meat. Its really insincere food.I guess it can be said that this restaurant has been reduced to a restaurant that only serves food roughly because it caters to people from other countries who dont know much about it.meat? Its too thick and doesnt have any seasoning, so its the worst.If you go, you will probably be very disappointed....

Traditional Korean bone soup. It’s a cold winter to warm yourself up with a pot of rice. The fried rice at the end is definitely worth trying. There are only four kinds of side dishes that come with it. What’s rare is that the price and taste have not shrunk.
