I liked this place. The beryani and garlic bread were great. He asked about how spicy we wants our coconut curry stew but it wasn’t spicy at all! I will go back for sure. All the food price was around 40 bucks.

I originally gave this place 5 stars because they use to have a buffet and their food was delicious. This place is still one of my favorite, but not a fan of them removing the buffet. Plus it seems theyre serving less on their entree and adding more onions to their vegetables dishes that I usually order-- to make it look more for less. Thats the main reason I dropped my rating to 4 stars is due to the changes.

Pretty much any meal that you get from this restaurant is going to be a banger. The butter chicken is so smooth it almost melts in your mouth, if your teeth and taste buds don’t get to it first and you swallow lol mango lemonade is busing I don’t travel often, but going here makes me feel like I’m in India.

Excellent Indian food. Taste is very good and portion sizes are quite large for a good price. Hot chicken korma was very good and very spicy. It was much spicier than expected (a good thing) so if you can’t handle heat I would get a milder version. The garlic naan was also very good. A little thin for my liking but perfect for scooping up the korma. Highly recommend and will be going back myself to try their other dishes

These guys even dont know abcd of cooking. Ordered malai kofta and plain naan but kofta is as hard as rock and naan width is like 100 pages notebook. Poor service and prices are too high.Quality what a joke. I paid for food not for trash. I wish if you can put this attitude in your food.P.s:- i already garbage this thing which you called food and i wish i could have teach you but with this attitude you can struggle only but can not cook.

Order through Doordash, May b South Indian or Gujrati people like it but not a Punjabi restaurant. It says tandoori Naan but u guys should change its name to Half cooked Tawa Naan. U can look in picture, It it looks Naan ? Its frozen Naan and u guys just warmed up.Waste my money. First time dining after driving by the location several times and WOW!!! it was outstanding!!!! Clean, uncluttered dining area and superb service. High quality furniture, dishes, utensils and cloth napkins make the dining experience extra special. Everything we ordered was exceptional, complex flavors and they take ordering “extra spicy” seriously. Best of all, huge amount of vegan options. We’re an instant fan of this place and look forward to many return trips!

Perhaps the best Indian food Ive had in a while.A very good layout of traditional dishes. The tandoori chicken was nicely grilled but not over done; tikka masala was very fresh and all the dishes werent mushy (which Ive encountered frequently at other restaurants).The interior decor is contemporary with Indian art accents; spacious, without being overly decorated or crowded with tables.The service was attentive, I ate during the lunch buffet. They were on top of the iced tea and kept the buffet stocked -- especially the fresh naan bread.Its a dollar or two more expensive than other Indian buffets but the quality of food is better too. I wish they served lamb -- but that is also a more costly meat.Gandhi is certainly worth the visit.

My wife and I love eating here every Sunday. We come in for their lunch specials (11am-3pm) and the waitress is always so kind and sweet. It may be a bit pricey for those who arent willing to spend $30+ for a meal for 2 but its well worth it in my opinion, quality food and they have vegan options (my wife is vegan) 😊🍲

Loved it. Ive had Indian Food at some of the best restaurants in Hollywood, and Gandhis stands right with them. Food was served hot and cooked to perfection. The service was beyond good. The atmosphere was quiet and clean with a fine restaurant feeling, but Im a track store. All good. When in Moreno Valley west of the 215 on Alessandro, stop by and try some really good Indian Food.

Our favorite Indian place, the chicken coconut curry is fantastic.They also recently updated their menus to show what items are gluten free which is amazing for someone with celiac’s disease. I have eaten here multiple times without a gluten attack.

Really enjoyed this place! Its quiet and clean and the food was fantastic. Our waiter was very kind and helpful. We had someone who was vegan and another with a tree nut allergy and both were able to not only find something to eat but they had a variety of options to choose from. I am excited to say we will definitely be back.

DONOT go to this restaurant. Everything is way over priced and they loot the customers whenever they get a chance. Samosa is at 1 or 1.50 dollar a piece at all the other Indian restaurants but he charges $ 2.50 per piece plus charged 6.50 for packing. The new customer service guy with earrings is the most dishonest. When i called him back about charging the extra $ 6.50 WHICH IS UNHEARD OF, he rudely told me to come and get those back. The samosas are much smaller in size and poor quality cooking, Total rip off. Would recommend going to much more reasonable and honest places for Indian food in this area.Also, he pockets the tip given to the severs. I knew couple of hem personally and they told me of this. How low and unfair could one get?

I really love this place. I live pretty close to the place and always love to get it to go. I never ate inside but it looks like it’s a relaxing atmosphere. One negative thing I would say is that they make my chicken Marsala differently from time to time. I love the creamy consistency but sometimes it comes out a little chunky and not as creamy. I still love it when it is different. The food here is priced fairly and made with care. Staff is always nice!

Wish you could rate it NO STARS. I recently called and ordered the goat curry which the guy said it came with 8 pieces of meat I then requested for extra paid extra money. The amount of meat pieces should have been 16. I tell you once I got it home and opened the two containers it should have been called goat soup the amount of juice instead was ridiculous. I poured it in a bigger bowl to indeed see if there were 16 pieces. The size of the meat was like the size of those mento gum. I paid almost 40.00 for this and when I called to let the gentleman know he had a attitude.I should have been the one with the attitude when he insured me that they were nice decent pieces and on top of that it wasnt even 16 pieces. For this they have lost a loyal customer. You expect a hardy meal with the price you pay.

I came back here to finish my review specifically because I want people to know that not only is their food amazing, incredibly well proportioned and always really fresh but they also (with the help of a church) donate food to essential workers.Ive never gone in to this restaurant and only ordered it through delivery services. Theyre always timely, still very hot, and adapt the spice level to whoever needs more/less. My brothers are both very big very adult picky eaters and they both enjoyed it, despite getting it made mild.I get it hot, and its nose-running sinus-clearing but still delicious-tasting hot. Give it a shot if youre curious.

If you want great Indian food with great service, this is the place. Although the prices are not very low, the food is definitely high end. You will not be disappointed. The only reason I give it a 4 is because I would loke the prices to be more reasonable for the area the restaurant is in; however, the taste, the amount of food, the flavors, and the staff make it worth it.

We were lured in by the bold sign out front that advertised a $9.99 lunch buffet. Of course once we got in, we found out that they hadnt offered this special for months. (We werent the only ones) Since we were already there, we went ahead and had lunch. To make a long story short, when the food came we were disappointing. The two dishes were ordered were mostly sauce, with very little chicken or lamb. Flavors were not nearly as good as other Indian restaurants weve eaten at, and they were expensive for what we got. My wife requested more rice (usually free at most restaurants) and they charged us 4 dollars for a tiny portion. Cant believe all the positive reviews for this place. Ive eaten at a lot of Indian restaurants in my time, and this was hands down the worse place weve tried. Never going back.

We ordered through uber eats and we got our food packed very nicely(little spilling but we ordered a messy meal so it wasn’t bad at all) the food was surprisingly delicious, we got tofu curry and lamb curry both super good, my only criticism is that I ordered hot spice and it was barely mild to my taste but still very tasty and cooked well and tasted very fresh. I’m going to become a regulars for sure.. also I should mention this was my first time ordering from here!

The food here is delicious as always and the staff courteous. They have a wide selection to choose from. But be warned, no more all you can eat lunch buffet. That is a deal breaker for me as I loved the variety of tasty choices and the ability to take a little bit of everything. They did add lunch specials that include a main dish, rice and nan bread. They offer vegan and meat based dishes including lamb and you do get plenty to eat.

I came out from Los Angeles to try this place with my parents because they had told me how delicious this place is. So I had high expectations when I arrived.Boy were they met! We were greeted in the most friendly manner and seated right away on a Saturday night!The food was amazing. I have tried many Indian restuarants- in Los Angeles and San Francisco- and none of them compare to this place. The food was superb. Im impressed! The lunch buffet is awesome with a very nice selection of Indian food dishes. The dinner menu is inviting and reasonably priced. The naan is fresh, hot, and light. I would give Gandhis more stars if it were possible. Their dishes are delicious and use high quality ingredients. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken, Vegetable Curry, and Saag Paneer. All 4 were amazing! The chicken was clean with no gristle, the Saag Paneer had a good amount of cheese, and the vegetable curry was a great mix of veggies (unlike some places that have curries overrun with potatoes). They offer 3spice levels: mild, medium, or hot. We ordered all 4 as hot. My wife and I love spicy food (she carries a serrano pepper in her purse) and this did not disappoint. The dishes were able to elevate the heat without overwhelming the flavor of the dishes. It is delicious, but not for the faint of heart. Although the prices may seem higher than youre basic takeout, their prices are excellent for the high quality ingredients that are evident in their dishes. They clearly do not cut corners. The flavor of their dishes make it clear that they use real cream and butter in their sauces. This is the best Indian restaurant Ive visited in the I.E. I highly recommend calling in takeout orders since deliciousness like this takes time.

Never, ever, in my whole life have I left a restaurant review, and never would I have imagined I would be so imoressed that I would write one while still sitting at the table. The service for this place is absolutely wonderful, and the food is truly amazing, we loved every dish! This little place is quiet, relaxing and just over all very enjoyable atmosphere. I watched the gentleman, whom I assume is the owner or manager, rearrange most of a wall to try to find a power outlet for his guest, and did so with the most pleasant attitude. They really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The staff here has the most gracious and warm energy of any restaurant staff I have ever been to. Love...love...LOVE. You are now my very favorite restaurant of all time. ♡♡♡

Fridays lunch took us to India! Well at least India in Riverside, CA. I have a very limited experience and knowledge of Indian food and was pleasantly surprised by the flavors and textures. The restaurant was clean, the service (we had the buffet) was nurturing and helpful, without being intrusive. I really enjoyed the butter chicken in the sauce and the tandoori chicken. With white and/or basmati rice and the naan, it was all quite good and filling. The pastry stuffed with potatoes was really flavorful and when dipped in a variety of sauces, became my favorite dish! The vegetarian/ vegan dishes were all prepared with love!

This place is amazing I love the decor the food and the staff. I think the lunch crowd is keeping it alive. They offer a buffet service for lunch which is very inexpensive. The dinner service is really good theres never a line or wait and it is so worth going to. This place is kind of sad that its in Riverside. Just down the street is a Chilis in every time I go past the Chilis on my way to Gandhi the Chilis is always packed. It says something about people in Riverside when they have a great Indian restaurant and they dont visit it

One of the best places to get Indian food whenever you’re in town. The Garlic Naan, Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken and Vegetable Samosa are super delicious but my favorite is the Matar Paneer. Be sure to try all the desserts because they’re all great. I have a hard time picking just one. The serving sizes are decent, and should leave you with leftovers to enjoy later. :)

I was disappointed that they didnt have the lunch time buffet anymore, but my husband and I stayed and tried their lunch specials. The food was very good. My husband ordered the lamb vindaloo and I had the chicken tika marsala, we also tried both the garlic naan bread and regular naan bread. Every single time I have been to Gandhi’s I have been treated exceptionally well. The food was excellent, especially the chicken Tikka, vegetable curry, garlic naan and the rice pudding. I go here at least twice a month and they basically know my husband and Is order as soon as we walk in the door. Their naan is amazing, the Masala fries are the BEST, and we always split an order of coconut curry paneer which is so tasty and spiced perfectly. Do not be discouraged by the fact that there arent too many people who sit down at this restaurant as they get many take out orders. The staff is courteous and make sure you have everything you need. You will definitely not regret eating here...its to die for!

Our experience getting takeout from Gandhi today was quite disappointing. We eat at a variety of indian restaurants often in and around Riverside. We had been here once before when they had a lunch buffet and it was decent, but we didnt complain because the price was reasonable. They have since gotten rid if the buffet. For variety we decided to try Gandhi again today as opposed to our go-to Indian restaurant in Riverside. We ordered the navratan korma and butter chicken. The sauces were overwhelmingly tomato flavored with little to no traditional indian seasonings. Both dishes tasted almost identical even though they would traditionally be quite different. Whats worse, the portion size was horribly inadequate. Each dish had less than half of the portion as our typical indian go-to spot and both cost $2-$4 more. This was a very disappointing experience.

There arent too many places to get Indian food in Riverside, and there were none before in the Woodcrest area until now. I especially liked the korma (a favorite of mine) and the garlic naan. The atmosphere is comfortable and the service was prompt, attentive, and friendly. The food was wonderful. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys Indian cuisine (and if youre not sure if you do, you should try it, its really quite fantastic). Ive never had Indian cuisine prior to this experience. So I chose the Chicken Tikka with a side of Garlic Naan. Not knowing what to expect, I took a bite and my mouth exploded with goodness. The chicken is perfectly cooked, seasoned to perfection. The grilled onions and bell peppers make for a crunchy bite. The garlic naan is delicious and comforting in a way that you could very well just eat it by itself for a meal. The white rice is a compliment to the dish, with its simplicity balancing out the other flavors and spices. Good price for portion size. Great lunch specials. Let me first clarify that I do know my share of food and how to cook etc before reviewing their food items here. So, I had gone there for dinner last night with a friend and we ordered veggie Manchurian as appetizer. Ideally the veggie Manchurian balls are made up of grated veggies and the very same was written in their description on menu.
