Giving it 5 stars because I got more than expected. Its almost packed every weekend. Dont like waiting so I finally made time and went earlier during a Friday, it seems rush hourS were barely starting as there were a lot of open and clean tables and we had to wait for almost 20mins. Once seated our servers were amazing. Menu was extense and prices are great. Theres even free ice cream for dessert. It is smaller than other bbq places but it was a great experience, would definitely recommend it and most likely will go back, but beware of weekend nights, it gets really packed.Second visit, still good. Menu A and B do change only on price depending if lunch or dinner, but items remain the same

I wish i could give 4.5 stars but i’ll opt for four. super busy and fast pace placed, but after we were seated we didn’t have a server for about 15 minutes. The food came out quickly and the servers were on it after we took our initial order. ice cream at the end was a nice touch, not the best quality but hey it’s free so no complaints there

The meats are very delicious, attentive waiters, and great location with plenty of parking. I visited within the hour that it opened so we were seated right away. A great place to have kbbq for dinner.

This place beats Gen in my opinion. Not that big of a place, but I enjoy less crowds and way shorter wait time compared to other places. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Mario was so attentive, always smiling, and rapid with bringing our plates. The sides were also amazing. Spicy cucumbers, kimchi, potatoes, and macaroni salad were my top faves. Last, the vanilla ice cream cups to go was the perfect treat. Definitely returning to this place.

I may be jaded in this review (for the record) because I thought that not allowing any form of reservation on a Saturday Night is inconvenient and #dumb. They basically force you to wait 45 min with no real waiting area. Everyone just stands around in close quarters waiting for their name (great plan guys). I actually didnt follow the herd and went 3 doors down and had a drink and some delicious dumplings as I waited.Once you get past that silliness you get to the meal and restaurant. Overall the price was pretty fair for an all - you - can - eat Korean BBQ and the meat was okay. They limit you to one serving per person of the better meats, but that seemed fair for the 19.99. The service was good and they were attentive. Nothing will knock your socks off here but if youre craving Korean BBQ you will feel like you got what you came for.One thing I didnt pay enough attention to but once I noticed I couldnt stop seeing it everywhere was how unclean everything was. Under the table was full of trash, the bathroom was unkempt, I forgot that I cleaned the shot glasses and dishes I was given because they had a bunch of dishwater still on them. Overall that stuff doesnt bother me much, but I did notice.Overall the food is decent and they are fair with what they give you. They dont deal with being busy well and cleanliness and good policy feel the brunt of that.

Everything about this place is great! I had such a lovely time catching up with my souls sistah!The quality of the meats was great, and everything tasted delicious.The service was just as amazing! Every server, and the manager were simply so professional and personable at the same time.The atmosphere was perfect as the music wasn’t too much, and the vibes from everyone, including other customers, were good.I can’t wait to go back as I’m already salivating thinking about how much I enjoyed the food.

Been going here since 2008. Ownership has changed a few times and prices keep going up. Food is always good and you get ice crean at the end. They just started giving the option of plain vanilla or vanilla with Oreo crumble. They stopped serving cucumbers here and thats a big let down. Over still a place I will frequent.

My family and me love this place! It’s always such a good vibe when we come here. I am shocked at seeing some of the bad reviews about this place, because I have been coming here for years and never once have I had bad service, the food has always been delicious and I always find parking every time I come and I have been here on some of the busiest days. Had my daughter being so fussy one day and the waiter came and offered to bring her ice cream early so she can calm down and let me eat lol

Tonight my party of 18 and I came here after Knotts Berry Farm and we all enjoyed it. They accommodated us in a timely matter. They were very helpful when we needed things. Even people around us were nice to give us a plate of meat. The music was AMAZING if someone can send me their playlist. We are all full for our ride back to Oxnard. Thanks to our servers!

Was looking forward to this since I dont really eat Korean BBQ. We were a party of 3. I dont think Ive ever felt so ignored at a restaurant like I did tonight. Once we were seated, our server was completely ignoring us. The people next to us were seated after us and their server was already serving them while we were still waiting to see our server. We sat there for almost 10 minutes. Finally our server, Allija (or something like that) came and took our order and it took a long time to receive it. He hadnt even turned on the stove. He also completely forgot our rice and drinks that we had ordered. He was nowhere to be found but upon looking for him, he was seated with another party, talking and laughing. I waved over another employee (Marc, who is excellent, by the way.) why our server was sitting down and not serving us. He said that he was probably off, alluding to that maybe his shift was over. Why didnt anyone else step in? We didnt even get to order more food since our server was completely ignoring us. He even helped the people next to us. He came over a bit after and asked if anyone had helped us. We yold him no one had been serving us. He apologized but again, he disappeared. We didnt even get our ice cream. Instead another server came and asked but at that point, we were disappointed with the mediocre service and decided to leave. Horrible service. This young man needs training or something. I left a tip to reflect his service.

Been here several times this year but never left a review. I would rate this kbbq establishment between 3 to 4 stars. Most of the time I do recieve really good customer service such as being attentive and servers having the look that they want to be working there. On occasion I have received mediocre service not because of taking to long of a time to refill sides or to ask if I wanted to order meat but when staff just has no interest with customers. Yet fully happy to talk amongst each other working. All in all the place is worth what you are paying for and cant gripe over trying to receive high quality of customer service.

New update. This place is now dirty and smells. They clearly don’t clean the bottles that are on the tables. Sometimes the plates are dirty after they “wash them”. Walls are dirty and ground is slippery. Rice is mushy and taste off. I can only imagine how their walk in locker for food is.Service is horrible, constantly waiting for someone to come over for service. You try to get a waiters attention and they just ignore you!

Food is really good! I love coming here with my fiance and his family when we are in town. Would recommend the pork and beef bulgogi and the beef brisket. Parking can sometimes be a little hard to find but people come in and out at a decent speed. The max I ever waited was 20-30 minutes to get a table.

Keep in mind there will be a wait time if you’re coming during busy hours, but it’s worth the wait. They have really good meats and they bring you whatever you need. The food was good. And the music was great. Played a lot of early 2000s hip hop. So I think this spot is for a younger crowd (late 20-mid 30s). The service was slow, it was a busy night. But it took anywhere from 20-30 minutes for the waiter to come by our table to renew our order. And that was because I called someone over. Our waiter helped us initially and once after that. Didnt see him again the rest of the night. And we had to call another waiter to help us that wasnt in our section. Other then that it was a good experience. Id go back hoping for better service

The banchan was not good. Really low quality and poor flavour. They should at least have quality kimchee but they dont.This is a cheaper place for korean bbq so I understand youre getting what you pay for, and sure, that applies to the range of meats you can order, but theres no reason for the banchan to be that bad.Meat selection is smaller but that is okay, the meat you get is good. If you want a larger selection to choose from, go somewhere in koreatown for more $$. Plus, the banchan will be on point

Visited on Saturday night and were pleased to find that we only had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated for a group of 3. Our server, Chris was fantastic and made sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed the tofu soup, kimchi, and japchae sides. We ended up choosing Menu B because we wanted to order the short ribs and that came out to about $24 per person which was only $3 more than the Menu A. The restaurant ambience was relaxed and we appreciated the prompt service and cleanliness. We were concerned about the floor being a little slippery, just be careful when walking. Other than that, we enjoyed our experience and will definitely be back again!

Worst experience ever due to Audrey. The food is good, atmosphere is upbeat. Mario our usual waiter is the best! Unfortunately, this time we had to ask Audrey for service but if you can avoid being served by her, do so. She is so rude and disrespectful, a very unwelcoming person. While changing the grill, she let the grease fall into our drinks and food. She has no customer service skills and walks away as you are speaking. When she finally would bring the food or pour sauces, she had no consideration for spilling anything. She never came around to see if we needed anything else. The rest of the staff is so attentive and kind but not her. She acts so innocent when the owner is present. Walk out, if she is the one attending you. She is horrible and will ruin your experience.

We went last night for dinner because we didn’t want to drive to our normal spot in garden grove. The wait was about 5-10 minutes. They took our drink order as soon as we sat down and our meat order once the drinks were brought out. There was a little bit of a wait from the time the initial meat was brought out to the time someone came by for us to order more but it was only two of us so it wasn’t an issue; it gave us time to finish the food. For larger parties, this might have been annoying. For the rest of the meal, we had about 4 servers come by at varying times to make sure we were good and see if we needed anything else. We went for my birthday and they did sing. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal and would be back again. The service and food were great but I’d go back just for the music. Talk about throwback!

Great service. They raised the prices, however, it is still affordable in comparison to other restaurants. The quality is great for the price. They give free ice cream after a meal and I appreciate that as well. I do wish there were extra servers because I am often left waiting for utensils and food. Servers are overworked and often dont have time to help everyone. I feel sorry for them. There is often a 30 min wait during rush hour however its worth it. I always return.

[UPDATE]:After visiting the restaurant following this initial review, and I believe from the top of my head, after new management, I can give Gangnam KBBQ a big thumbs up for their changes since.Gangnam was and still is the place to go for my family and friends and Im very pleased that the visits since have been way, way better.Huge thanks to all the staff who work hard, are very attentive, and those that are happy to help!! They were treating other tables surrounding us except ours while we waited. Once is understandable, but to ignore us 5 times is just straight up rude. Not only that, we were given some glares at my family members which is ridiculous and it seems that the employees need be reevaluated. What really set our family off after the experience, was that, a particular staff member who constantly ignored us for the whole hour and a half, came to pick up our bill right as we were about to leave… the audacity to pull that off is mind blowing. If we could give our own tips, not a single penny for this type of service. Would not recommend at all.

All you can eat meat. Plan A for 19.99 and Plan B for 21.99. You might as well get B! Fine print: all you can eat for only 1.5 hours 😆 Start with bulgogi beef, I think its the best. I read many reviews about the staff being rude and not helpful, so I was looking for this. However, I never saw this, besides our server, we had like 3 other people that stopped by off and on to ask if we needed anything. We had a good experience. We had to wait for 30 minutes for a table but cant complain when its a popular eatery.

Food was decent, I surprisingly enjoyed the kimchee rice and the cheese corn was pretty good too. Quality of the meats were overall good and lots of variety. The service started off slow but picked up during the mid portion of dinner. One thing I did not like, the grill would not go to high heat. Not sure if on purpose to make you cook slower but it definitely slowed eating down.

Place is closed. Stopped by this past weekend (September 18th, 2022) to find the place in disorder. The front door was open, but all the chairs were up on the tables. A thick smell of cigarettes lingered in the stale air. I have marked the restaurant as closed on google maps - if you have a similar experience, please do the same...

Seems to be understaffed a lot of times. Needs better management and employees. They tend to forget what you order most of them dont write it down. But I would definitely recommend their food.

As we see the servers pass by us and helping the others around our table completely ignore us. Then they finally serve us and said they then tell us the oven is messed up and Magivore it and it takes forever to cook and then they have the nerve to say last call after waiting for so long to be served and the employee has the nerve to say in his response was we should have made a reservation the same guys that saw us not being serve. The front door service is very poor. No body greets you as you come in. Instead you have to sign your name on a clip board and wait to be called by someone who has never called out a name before. As Im waiting to be called I noticed that it took 15 min for them to for them to get started on flipping a table for the next customer and another 10 to sit them in it. The decor of the place resembled that of a bar and they even disposed of their used ice in the bathroom urinal like one. The floor was layered in carpet which is a terrible idea seeing as to how all the food is cooked in the dinning area which means that the carpet is absorbing all of the grease and smell. The only reason Im giving it a three star is because the food and the price were fantastic.

I just wanna say that these people were on top of it! It takes a while to get seated but we were seperate from other diners, so that was great. The food and sides just kept coming out so quickly. Multiple staff members walking by asking if we needed anything and quickly got it out to us. There was excellent team work going on here.Ive always loved their brisket sauce with rice paper and pieces of brisket. I only order the brisket so I cant speak for anything else. 🤤My kids were a lil bummed they dont give the icecream after meals anymore.No photos cuz I forgot to take some. 😬

This place was a huge bust. My partner and I went craving Korean bbq and left as soon as we got seated. Apparently they have a list by the door they dont follow. After a 45 min wait another party got seated even though they had arrived 10 min prior to us waiting. When we asked why if we were next and same number of party they never came back with an answer. Finally we get seated and our grill did not work after 3 attempts to start it. Waiter would start it and walk away. 3 times! We asked to move and all they could say ... oh they all do that our table smelled massively of gas..... yeah that place may explode some day.Stat away if possible just drive a litter further to a GEN please! Pretty good service, waitresses were attentive, and courteous.Ample parking spaces, i love my cars so ild hate going to places worrying about the hoods or people dinging/scratching my car if the parking or area is shaddy... The food was very pleasing. We had to flag down servers a couple of time last. We asked for the brisket dipping sauce which is fantastic. The disappointment came from the man at the register who first came to ask us which beer we ordered, and asks us if we are sure. We brushed it off only to get our bill with two sodas we didnt order. Again he picked up my water and asked if I was sure my drink wasnt a Sprite. He leaves and takes another 15 minutes to fix our bill. It was completely unacceptable behavior for such small items which they could easily notice from our clear cups. Will be awhile before we go back.

Weve been here a few times before, but yesterday (2/10/18) was not a good experience. When we came, no staff was there to seat us, but we can hear them talking. After being seated, we asked for water with lemon, but the lemon never came. Our server was not very attentive to her customers. What started off as a great experience showing up not having to wait in a line went south very quickly here. My friends and I were placed in the center where two tables were pushed together and the table next to us was completely filthy and covered with plates and uneaten food and our table needed to be wiped down there were other tables that were clean I do not know why we were placed at this one. We had to ask for the essential items such as chopsticks and napkins which werent provided upon sitting. Overall unsatisfied with the customer service and the food because the food we received was nothing but low end fatty pieces of meat that were inedible. Literally more than half the food they brought us we could not eat, I cannot believe I decided to upgrade to the 19.99 menu it is a complete waste of money and not worth what we paid. Id rather go to a better quality place like gens and spend $20 knowing Ill be receiving better service and better quality food that I can actually eat. Ive been a long time customer. Meat is good and the side dishes are excellent. What makes this review bad is the manager. The floors are really greasy and i fell and felt embarrased. When i alerted staff they said i could eat the meal free. No problem. But as i was leaving the manager said i could never come back and pointed to the refusal of service sign. So because of a potential lawsuit they banned me from the restaraunt. I been told to call an attorney but id rather just move on with my life. Last night... was a movie! My boyfriend and I went in last night for our 2nd time. Gangnam KBBQ is without a doubt my 2nd home. The food is always fresh and ready for you to sizzle up and the variety of meats is astounding. Even though the service might be slow at times because of heavy business, its without a doubt a place to check out!

I walk out or here smelling like urine and smoke when eating there for any longer than one hour.Employees often handle food theyre serving with bare hands. Nor are employees required to wear hair nets.

Says they close at 11pm, but close down early at 930pm. Even though I arrived at 9:15pm? Ok..Update: Im only giving them a 1star because this is the 3rd time they had me wait for 30mins and than hit me with a new No one person rule.

A pair of shorts and a tarp is best because youre gonna walk in hungry and out full + smokey...Who can argue with a Cave Mans Feast Kirin on draft? Unexpected ice cream to finish the meal? Sold.

Great KBBQ for the price. The premium AYCE is worth it for the ribs/spare ribs. Service is a little spotty but as expected for how busy it is. The ribs pay for the meal though considering.

It was amazing experience we went for my birthday for lunch Bianca was our wait staff but everyone was so sweet and kind
