Whether you are a vegan or not this small family owned business is a Hacienda Heights gem. The food is fantastic, especially the soups and kimchi pancakes 🤤.They have a lunch special that runs from 11 to 1. Be forewarned that anything past 12 all the good stuff is gone. Lunch special is first come first serve and it cant be phoned in.Now they have bottled their delicious chill oil . I drizzle that stuff all over my food 🤤🤤🤤Give them a try!!! I suggest phoning your order in as they do get busy (excluding the lunch special)

Nestled in the heart of the city, a culinary haven has been delighting discerning diners for over three decades – a vegetarian restaurant that has consistently set the bar for plant-based cuisine. My husband, a staunch carnivore, was initially skeptical, but his doubts vanished with the first bite. He declared it the finest dining experience he had ever had, vegan or otherwise, and even suggested that the restaurant deserved Michelin recognition. The menu, a symphony of flavors and textures, showcases the chefs masterful ability to transform humble plant-based ingredients into culinary masterpieces. Each dish is a testament to the chefs passion, creativity, and unwavering commitment to showcasing the versatility and vibrancy of vegetarian cuisine. Our top recommendations:Spicy Thin Bean-Noodles: A tantalizing blend of thin noodles, spicy broth, and crisp vegetables, this dish is a symphony of flavors and textures.Crispy Soy Chicken w/Basil: Succulent soy chicken, crispy to perfection, is stir-fried with fragrant basil, creating a harmonious balance of flavors and textures.Stinky ToFu w/Spicy Kimchi: The pungent aroma of stinky tofu may initially surprise, but the combination of spicy kimchi and savory tofu is a revelation.Sesane Siy Chicken Soup: A comforting bowl of broth, infused with sesame and soy flavors, is filled with tender pieces of soy chicken and a medley of vegetables.Three Color Fried Rice: A vibrant blend of red, yellow, and green rice, tossed with vegetables and a savory sauce, this classic dish is a must-try.This vegetarian restaurant is a hidden gem, a culinary treasure that deserves to be celebrated. It is a place where preconceived notions about vegetarian cuisine are shattered, replaced by a newfound appreciation for the boundless possibilities of plant-based cooking.Whether you are a seasoned vegetarian or a curious carnivore, I wholeheartedly recommend embarking on a culinary journey to this remarkable restaurant. Prepare to have your taste buds tantalized, your expectations exceeded, and your perception of vegetarian cuisine forever transformed.

4 Star. Overall. Nothing looks good. But everything tastes fairly decent. Unattractive and non-addicting in every way, but its a place Ill return to from time to time. Organic, vegan, healthy alternative. But no desire to overeat. That must mean no added MSG. Been here several times. The feel is consistent.3.75 Star. Combo Food Selection* Less than $10 for 4 items combo that comes with soup plus a $0.50 brown rice upgrade (standard comes with white rice). Note to self: order just half-bowl of brown rice upgrade for $0.25 next time. Plenty of rice.* 10 items selection available in total. Options vary daily. May not see the same items next time. Toward the late afternoon, once an item runs out, they do not restock. What you see is what you get.* Some dishes are not salty at all, while some are over salted. Gotta pick the right combo items though, otherwise, the meal doesnt feel complete.* Had a homy taste to it, not something Ill crave for, but at least its healthy and on some days I just need more of it to detox.* My kids dont care for it though. So its hard to feed them here.5 Star. Drinks & Dessert. Organic, healthy, vegan.* Lavender Lemonade was good. Had the lavender look, but only the lemonade taste, sweetened with brown sugar. Plus a few pieces of whole blueberries in the cup. I need to ask for 1/2 the sugar next time.* Vegan Ice Cream was good. But since its soy-based, having too much of this left a funny after-effect on my tongue. Id still buy it next time. Just dont overdose on it.3 Star. Service. Typical nonchalant Taiwanese matter-of-fact style. Come in with this level of expectation and you wont be disappointed. Traffic is surprisingly steady at noon. All the tables filled up by 1 pm. No trash can available in sight. There are a few brown containers toward the back to place your trays & trash (unlabeled). Not used to this, but I respect it.3 Star. Decor. Average unattractive mom-and-pop hole-in-the-wall style. But clean, neat and organized. Menu display can use a makeover though. It seems to be all over the place (wall, counter, paper, regular menu...) and I had to figure my way around whats there to order the first time I came. By the 4th or 5th time, Im still looking around all over the place to figure out what I want to order.2 Star. Parking. Located in a very run-down little plaza with super tight and narrow parking spaces. I always hated parking here with the feeling of possibly scratching parallel cars or bumping into cars behind me while backing out. The tiny plaza needs a renovation.

I wish their lunch special time can extend longer, its only from 11am to 1. And they usually sell out before 1. The cook always have a shinny smile on him.

I gave it 4 stars for tastiness but was disappointed with price for what I got. I ordered the veggie fried rice (about $10) there was barely any veggies and I requested tofu to be added and that cost an extra $5. I paid it to try their food and to help keep a mom and pop in business but it was pricey for the amount of food. It did taste good though. Currently (5/19/2022) they are only open for take out.
