Gen Korean BBQ House in Rancho Cucamonga

I can say this was a great experience. The staff was awesome. We did have an issue with the grill at the beginning, but they fixed it. The meat was high quality and so delicious. We had so many choices. The atmosphere was pleasant and chic. Very relaxing. Oh, the spicy miso soup was so good. Everything was delicious. We will definitely go back. A must try place.

Long story short, 2 years ago, this place was phenomenal. Today and the past 3 times, it took them 40 minutes to acknowledge us, and they were serving people next to my family before us, even though my family and I arrived way before. Not to mention, it is my wifes birthday. Culeros!!!!!! If you know, you know 🤬😡🤬

Long wait, decent food, great servers. The servers kind of saved the whole meal and night. Things were pretty messy, as in tables that needed to be cleaned up and they were out of a lot of beers on tap. One pitcher of beer we did try was flat. After 4-5 tries of the waitress checking with the bar and coming back to tell us they were out, we finally ended with with Michelob Ultra. Not my favorite, but the table didn’t care at that point. Maybe short staffed? Definitely a place you would come back in a pinch, especially for the price but an hour wait for a table on a Monday night was a bit much. Once we were finally seated the food came and came and came, so all good there. For under $30 a person, it’s definitely worth a try. They also have take out options!

Fire was so little, sides are so small. Compared to RedCastle Korean BBQ for $20, this restaurant’s value of $30 is not worth it at all. Sauces are not on the table. Service was okay, I don’t blame it on the workers. They give the sides (kimchi, radish, etc) for a portion of one person to a table of four people. If this was $10-$15 it is understandable, customers pay for $30 for this experience. Not worth it.

Great food, great service, excellent place to have a meal with friends or family.

Ordered a pick up order, we were ten minutes late to pick it up and it was still not ready which was fine, but we ended up waiting over 40 minutes past pick up time (over an hour after ordering), they told us they had to remake it because they made it incorrectly. we finally get the food and get home, only for it to be completely not what we ordered. it had shrimp and my bf is allergic so we couldn’t even eat any of it. i call to ask to speak to a manager, tell her whats going on and how id bring the food back, i just want a refund and they were so unapologetic, told us to call back later. thankfully their site uses doordash so i was able to contact them for a refund. never coming back. seems completely disorganized. if you cannot handle take out orders, do not offer it.

This was my first time here at Gen Korean BBQ House, an I must say it was a great experience. The staff was friendly. The food was great and the atmosphere was nice. I would definitely come again. The only recommendation I have is to provide takeout boxes for those who don’t finish their food. The prices are good as well. It’s like an all you can eat situation. But if you have any food left you can’t take it home.

Service was poor. Once seated, first serving came. After that, the refills were extremely slow. Had to ask 3, 4 times for meat and drink refills. They must have literally forgotten about us, even after telling us theyre take care of us. Food itself was good, however the calamari was over cooked. Service was simply poor and receives ZERO stars.

The food was okay, not bad considering you are grilling it yourself but the major flaw was their service.They need to reevaluate the people who work there and make better decisions when hiring. Not once did our waiter stop by to refill our water, give us napkins or even change our plate to a clean one. For each one of those things I had to literally get up and ask them to do it.The waiter would just walk by and not even say anything, which was very rude even when they were two inches away from me and could not hear excuse me multiple times. Felt like we were being ignored on purpose.

We waited about an hour and a half, we get our table and they take a whole hour for the server to take our order. We order popcorn chicken and noticed it felt weird, that’s when I noticed it was raw. I told the manager and she just didn’t care she just said I could leave. I am very sensitive to chicken hopefully I don’t get food poisoning but if I do I will definitely take action on that. DON’T GO THERE!!!! Service sucks!!!
