First timer, went in late tonight and the hostess was so sweet and the food is a good price for the amount the give, which is A LOT! I will be back and hopefully the same woman will be working there because she had the best attitude!

To start out, the food was delicious and well priced. F combo with a milk tea boba was right around $10.They just opened, so its understandable that they are still trying to get their flow in terms of the self-serve aspect. (They bring you the meat and sides -- you add toppings and sauce.) It was difficult to stack toppings and pour sauce on an already meat-filled bowl. If you request noodles, they are already portioned out for you in small bowl.The 4 star rating is due to the clunky experience. Most are accustomed to a self-serve setting, so many new customers were as equally confused as myself and required a lot of explanation. Silver lining- they did say that eventually everything will be self-serve, so you can add as much or as little items as youd like.The staff were extremely friendly and thoroughly explained how this works. It seems like there is a large base of loyal customers that have a deeper, long-term relationship.Ill definitely come back later on once things have settled and give it another go.

This place is good. The price is good for what you get. The dinner comes with rice, an eggroll, some pita type bread and egg drop soup. If you know how to pack your bowl you definitely get alot of bang for your buck. You can also opt to have noodles. I recommend following the Strong recommendations on the wall for seasoning. My sister in law did not season hers well and said hers tasted a little bland, it was because she hardly added any seasoning. The service was great! I went on a Friday night around 8:30 and we were one of the only ones. I had read some reviews about how it was packed, not when I went though! Check this place out, just like Genghis Khan at the mall but 10 TIMES BETTER.

I have been coming to this restaurant since I was 3 and even cried when I found out they had closed in Fountain Valley. Im so happy to have found them again!! The food is so satisfying, the portions are more than enough and the staff is super friendly.

Our family has been dining at Genghis Khan for over 20 years; it was one of the only restaurants our extremely picky little 4-year-old liked! Now hes a 25-year-old voracious eater and he still loves this place. The waitstaff is friendly and they remember our orders every time! The food is always 100% fresh and tasty. The meats may have been frozen, but theyre ready to hit the grill when its time to move down the buffet line. We love the wide assortment of vegetables and meats as well as the flavorful oils and spices to mix in. I love a place where I can get exactly what I want; Genghis Khan never disappoints.

This place is a wonderful, quaint, Mongolian eatery with delicious ingredients and hospitable servers. Very kind and jovial. I love making new concoctions, every time it feels a little different. With new sauce mixtures and ingredient mixtures. My favorite part is getting that bowl back from the chef, tippin him a couple bucks, and drizzlin that heavenly chili sauce over my steaming Mongolian beef (I do no noodles) and finally a healthy shake of sesame seed to finish it off. Dont forget to stuff your bread pockets!

I used to visit Genghis Khan Mongolian BBQ as a kid when they were in Fountain Valley. Having found it again, and visited a few times, I can easily say its one of my favorite dining experiences. The staff is always incredibly friendly and the food is outstanding. For all you can eat, its a reasonable price and youre sure to eat its worth. Its hard to stop eating once youre there. The all you can eat option is during the dinner service only, but they also have great lunch options. I highly recommend you give this place a try!

Ive been passing by this place for a year now, and decided to try it. Great small place for tasty food. The food is cooked in front of you, and you can control what goes inside your bowl. Four meat options, as well as a number of veggies and sauces that pair really well with them. Most of the time, people pile as much stuff in their bowl as they can, which causes a mess, but the workers clean the station pretty regularly and offer food grade disposable gloves for cleanliness.The food is delicious, and all dinner options include a cup of egg drop soup that tastes really clean and help break up the heavy meat and noodles. The servers are really nice and diligent, which make the dining experience easy and comfortable. The place is located on an awkward intersection though, but its definitely worth it to try it out.

Genghis Khan Mongolian BBQ is seriously the bomb. The staff are super friendly and always make me feel like a regular. Theyre happy to chat and get to know their customers. The all-you-can-eat option is a total steal, and I always pile my plate high with a variety of delicious meats, veggies, and sauces. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Bell peppers cubed, green onions & white onions sliced, mung bean sprouts, zucchini slices, sliced mushrooms, cabbage sliced, grated carrots, and more: all fresh fresh fresh! Im super excited they are back! They were in Fountain Valley before and I practically grew up going here. There were many great times with friends there and now at the new location there have already been many great experiences. Whats even better is they literally moved across the street from my office. I can conveniently walk there for lunch or dinner, and I have! I have started to reintroduce my friends to this location and we all have had wonderful dinner services at this location. The food is very good, but we got off on the wrong foot.Even though I saw no sign showing any particular rules, I knew the food would cook down in the grill, and there wasnt room for enough yet-to-be cooked food in one bowl unless I piled it so high that I might easily spill it.I ordered all-you-can-eat, so I saw no problem with taking a second bowl. However, once I did, I was informed of a one-bowl-at--time rule. I was told that if I wanted after cooking, I may add more vegetables.I was furious and almost left immediately. How dare they do this to people who are paying for all-you-can-eat??? Especially since the rule is apparently not posted!!!? Its more reasonable than some places, but not cheap - $19 not including the drink.BTW, they keep the noodles with the grill, behind a wall, pre-portioned!!One guy got around the rule by piling his bowl up to 2-3 times the height of the bowl ......On top of everything else, the menu says all dinners (yes including all-you-can-eat) include egg drop soup. I was bot offered or given any. When I asked, they offered me an extra egg roll instead, saying they ran out of egg drop soup, that no one was getting it at this time. I like egg drop soup, and their egg rolls were nothing special. I said they should make more soup when this happens. They offered no excuse but merely offered me soup next time I come (theyre assuming Ill come again!).Again, good food, and the workers were nice and polite, but unfair rules and not the best run operation.I may or may not not come back.

Dine-in or takeout, this authentic Mongolian BBQ restaurant, for the current price of $15, gets you: a bowl of meats (Lamb, Chicken, Pork, and/or Beef), two pieces of warm bread, an egg roll, rice, and noodles. There’s also a small section for vegetables, sauces, etc. You put whatever you can fit into your bowl. My all time favorite restaurant.Its the tastes of the food, probably due to how everything is prepared on a huge flat grill, a unique method of cooking ones own variety of food choices to be barbecued.The price is QUITE reasonable, and I always treat my out if town friends and guests to this culinary treat.I love the people that run the restaurant. I have been going to this specific restaurant SINCE 1978 when they opened in Fountain Valley, which is much closer to my home.When I learned they had survived a lease eviction around 2017 or 18, and that they were still in business in Garden Grove, a bit further away, I was totally euphoric.I am certain the heavy handed government edicts of the Covid-19(84) pandemic caused them, as with so many other small family owned restaurants, grave challenges, I AM SO PLEASED to see that Genghis Khans amazing Mongolian Barbeque restaurant has survived this unfortunate challenge.Try it, youll like it !I will be eating my dinner there tonight or soon.Richard B. Been coming to Mongolian BBQ since I was a junior in high school. So yeah, a LOOONG time. By far the best food I have ever eaten. Moved from Huntington Beach to Washington state in 2016 and so bummed I cant run by 1× a week. But when we come down to visit, my husband and I are sure to go here (at least once). Been coming to these guys years before they moved to Westminster, when they were located in Fountain Valley.Everything has carried over nicely. Still the same friendly, attentive staff. Still the same tasty proteins and toppings, now with the addition of optional noodles. The seating area is a bit more open, I was excited to see it wasn’t so enclosed as the old place... much better natural lighting. The bbq area is a bit bigger to accommodate larger crowds/dinner rushes. Zero complaints from this long time customer, and can’t wait to come to this place as regularly as I did in FV.

The dinner was pretty good. My daughter and I shared the No. 3, which had 2 fried shrimps, a little bowl of rice, crab rangoons, cream cheese wontons, 2 bread pockets, and a baby egg roll. The crab rangoons and wontons feel like they could have more filling. The breads have a nice texture to the bite. My friends daughter likes to fill them with rice and dip them in soy sauce. The bbq bowl was good. Im not sure if it matters, but they dont have chicken here. The options were turkey, pork (I dont eat it), beef, and lamb. They have a good variety of veggies. I did wish they had jalapeños and water chestnuts. You can pour your sauces into your bowl. Im not sure what strong means, but theres that option, medium, and mild, along with oil, curry, lemon, etc. I do love it that they give us the option to pour as much chili oil into our food after we cook it. I did wish we can cook it into our food,, but but its ok. Ill take it. We also get the option of adding noodles into our food too upon request. Theyre also the good (I would like to say theyre lo-mein) noodles and not the lame spaghetti type noodles Ive had at other Mongolian Bbqs. I was told you could add rice too from my friend, but I could be wrong as I was in the middle of picking out my food selection while she was telling me all this. First time here and Ive passed by it a few times before, but never have gone until a friend invited us to go here. I liked the idea that its a sit down restaurant after creating your dish and the gentleman cooks it for you. My friend told me it gets pretty busy here even during the weekdays. We came here at 7 on a Wednesday and surprisingly it was just one other family and it so happened to be my friends inlaws! Nice welcoming people that work there. Very attentive to your needs. The inside of the restaurant looks clean and had nice lighting. My daughter said the restroom is a little far and the light flickers, might need to get that checked. If only they were open sooner, I would love to take my boyfriend here. Their fortune cookies are good and they actually make sense compared to some random nonsense Ive seen at other places - for example, You are a flower in the sky.. some mumbo jumbo like that. Our family has eaten at Ghenghis Khan Mongolian BBQ for over 25 years and have always enjoyed the food. The staff is friendly and helpful. Good place to eat, the restaurant is somewhat small, they take your order which dish you want, then you choose yourself from a deep plate, it is very small, the service is great, the waitresses and cashiers are very smiling.
