Ate here once while I was getting my bike worked on next door, and the spicy pork bowl was delicious. However, between being closed on weekends and open 10-6 on weekdays, I never seem to have a chance to eat here anymore. Id love to eat here more often, but theyve been closed the last 3 times Ive been in the area, and even if I wanted to drive all the way down here just for their food, theyre closed after most people would be getting off of work.
The lovely couple that works here were very friendly. The food was amazing and I highly recommend swinging by if you are looking for some very reasonably priced and delicious food 😁
Great rice and mean bowl. My favorite is half chicken half beef with green onions! Hmmm So good... I keep coming back almost every week for lunch.

This hole in the wall Korean teriyaki grill place is amazing! The portions and nice and big and the meat is so well cut and cooked. It is fresh and all three sauces (two spicy sauces and one teriyaki sauce) are absolutely delicious. The people were very kind and the food was delicious.I had the Genki Bowl, which includes 2 meats, rice, and veggies, for only $7.80! Where else in Orange County can you get a good, healthy, filling meal for that price?!I chose the spicy pork and the beef, which are cooked Korean BBQ-style and it was delicious.Also, there was no upcharge for brown rice.My total came out to $10.33 with a large drink, including tax.
This place is delicious! Simple, healthy, quick, and inexpensive.You have a choice of 4 proteins, then white/brown rice with/without veggies or just all veggies. Can mix and match up to two meats. And theres 3 different portion sizes.I got the genki bowl with brown rice veggies spicy pork and chicken. Chicken was juicy and the spicy pork had a lot of flavor.Little mom and pop shop run by a family. Very nice and a pleasant place to lunch. Will def be going back!
Food is great! prices are good. Way better than flame broiler. Chicken/ beef are really good. pork is not bad as well.
Have only been here a couple of times, but it just may be our new go-to chicken bowl place. The addition of kimchi is always nice to have instead of just the usual ginger and green onion. And I also love that its not too far from the office!
Delicious teriyaki bowl. Friendly service. Large, filling portions. Don’t forget to get extra teriyaki sauce. I got veggie/chicken bowl with a side of kimchi and it was a perfect lunch. Didn’t have to wait long either, looks like a place many people come to during their lunch breaks
Simple meals. Choice of meats, comes with veggies and white or brown rice, and some awesome sauce to put on top. Delicious, filling, and easily one of my favorite restaurants.They also have a hidden menu that not many people know about. So far the only item Ive found is the Genki Grill. Its exactly the same as the Genki Bowl in every way, except the cashier gives you a weird look. 10/10, would recommend the Genki Grill to anyone.
Most excellent place to eat. Beats Waba Grill, and Flamebroiler in taste, quality, and price. Genki at least piles meat and rice in the bowl. Hands down the best place to eat. Too bad its not open weekends. Thats how good it is.
Definitely a must try if you like the rice bowl options. the spicy pork is delicious. im usually not a fan of the beef because it tends to be thick strips and chewy but genki grills beef is thin sliced and chopped it is sooooo good. all in all it is a great option for lunch.
I have been looking for korean food in orange and I am glad I found this place. Good portion and good flavor. I will be back to try different meats.
Similar to Flame Broiler but a bit better. Their kitchen was actually wide open and you can see how they make your food right in front of your eyes. Quick service and nice staff.
Very consistent, tasty food that is healthier than anything else in the area. Staff is exceptionally nice. Their kimchi is made in house & a fantastic must-have.
I got the genki bowl with spicy pork and beef and all vegetables and no rice, really good. Added some Louisiana sauce to the spicy pork and the teriyaki sauce to the beef

2019-07-02 19:25:05We tried the spicy pork and beef mini bowls and the short rib plate. The spicy pork is definitely 5 stars. The short rib plate, while good, is not a good value. You basically to get extra rice. The beef is pretty good. Go for the spicy pork. Its the best value.
