2023-09-10 18:44:28Great beef quality, taste delicious. We keep on coming back everytime we visit LA. Our all time favorites were jumuluk and kalbi BBQ. We also love their sikhye and makgeoli. A lot of banchan choices too. You can park on the parking lot behind the restaurant

2022-12-26 06:16:46We came here for Christmas!Various side dishes for free!Three of us ordered a A courses which usually for 2. However, we were still really full!High quality of meats! We also ordered a steamed egg, highly recommended! We had two cocktails, both of them were low % alcohol! I am guessing less than 3%….But this is only thing I can complain of.Services was fine. A little bit rush in the beginning. (They put half of our meat in once.) Maybe that’s Korean style? Since we are not Korean, not sure this is normal or not.For parking, they only have valet parking. You may find spots on the street. We found the one is free after 11 am.Still, like other comments, pricey but meats and small dishes might be worth for celebrating any special day!

2023-01-28 17:14:57A more upscale KBBQ experience! Theres a lot of construction on Wilshire near here so its a pain driving. They do have a parking garage next to it as well since street parking is not really feasible at the moment.Perfect for a date night! Recommend doing the A Course for 2 instead of doing all-a-carte. Youll get a good amount of food! The banchan was really good and they had so many options!! They cook for you also so you wont need to worry about doing it yourself. We went with the bulgolgi and galbi and were really happy with the quality. Overall great service too and would come back for a special occasion or another date night!

2023-07-06 06:32:40I recently had the pleasure of dining at Genwa Korean BBQ, and I must say, it was an extraordinary culinary experience that left me craving for more. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was captivated by the inviting ambiance, impeccable service, and, of course, the mouthwatering aromas wafting through the air.One of the standout features of Genwa Korean BBQ is the interactive and engaging dining concept. Each table is equipped with a built-in grill, allowing guests to cook their own meats and vegetables to perfection. This aspect not only adds an element of fun but also ensures that every bite is fresh and tailored to individual preferences. The menu at Genwa is extensive, offering a wide variety of high-quality meats, seafood, and vegetarian options. As a meat lover, I was in heaven with the selection of marbled cuts of beef, succulent pork belly, and tender chicken. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and provided excellent recommendations, ensuring that I got the most out of my dining experience.

2021-09-18 13:47:07First time in California and first time trying Korean BBQ and I made the best restaurant choice! The servers made it so easy to understand the menu and they cook the food right in front of you! The pork belly is perfect. I was very impressed. Will definitely make a stop here my next visit!

2022-09-04 07:12:16Sub par experience from a place that’s usually very good. My server tonight chastised me for turning over some pork belly that was burning up on one side. I assumed that like my other genwa experiences, the server would let me know when the meat was done and tend to it. However the server walks off after telling me my pork belly would be done in a minute. I wait a minute and take the pork belly off and the entire thing was burnt to a crisp. I quickly peel off the rest of what’s on the plate. Then the server puts the galbi onto the grill. Shortly after he flips it and leaves, the grill loses flame and I’m left with a slow cooked galbi. I’ve just never experienced this type of incompetence at a kbbq place before. The server then tells me it’s “medium rare” and ready to serve. Everything else was correct but if I’m going to pay 150~$ for two people I expect somewhat better service. I will never return to this location. Do yourself a favor and go to the Olympic location as their servers are attentive and what made me a customer in the first place.

2019-12-27 05:19:07We have been here many times and it is always a fun experience. It is amazing to be here, enjoy their food and their creations. The meat quality is outstanding the service is super polite and helpful and every single time we try something new and we are always impressed. This is not this usual all you can eat garbage. This is high quality food with high quality ingredients. You have to plan to wait to be seated if you don’t have a reservation. Very highly recommended.

2022-01-20 06:59:48One of the best Korean BBQ spots in LA.The ingredients here are top-notch and the seasoning is on point. Course A was more than enough food for two people, but we still ordered an extra order of galbijjim. Without a doubt, the best galbijjim weve had. Extremely tender and seasoned well. Even the person with orthodontics could chew it without issue.About the only downside is that you really gotta plan your banchan properly. Theyve got a great variety of veggies, but since theyre all fermented with salt, it feels like youre giving yourself hypertension halfway through a meal if youre not eating them in the right order. Definitely drink water or maybe order a sweet cocktail to offset the salt.
