I love the sandwiches here! It’s not rocket science but they take the simplest of ingredients and get a flavor that you get no where else. An their focaccia bread is always fresh!!! It’s the same people working everyday and you’re always greeted with a hello and a smile.

Friendly and fast.. sandwiches are made to order exactly as you like.. we ordered straight off the menu. My only complaint was the price point.. the sandwiches were pretty small and basic for the price paid which ended up being $20 for 2 sandwiches and a small cup of pasta

In Stockton I suppose a 4.8 rating among 3 delis is great but the low price matches expectations with stale bread, name brand meats, small portion, basic choices, and cash only, so they make up their margins in ATM fees. the place was slammed on a Saturday though, so maybe Im off track.

Very authentic Italian food. Excellent sandwiches, cold cuts, although very simple, as authentic as what you might find in Italy. Homemade pastas, such as Ravioli, Italian sausage, Focaccia. I have been eating at Gianss for 40 years. A taste of Italy right here in Stockton.

I went to Gians to buy Ravioli because my neighbor loves their ravioli so I decided to try them. They were delicious!! Very flavorful! The gentleman behind the counter was so very nice. He told me to go straight home so that the ravioli wouldnt thaw out. He even checked to make sure I new how to prepare them! I thought that was so very nice! They have lots of Italian goodies! I saw my favorite Pellegrino Italian soda there! They also make wonderful sandwiches!! They have hot salami and it is the best!! A definite MUST TRY

This is a must have when youre in Stockton. The sandwiches are delicious and incredibly tasty. The selection is perfect. The sides and drinks are perfect. Its a smaller restaurant but the flavors are big. I wouldnt doubt that these might be the best authentic Italian sandwiches in the valley. The flavor is unbeatable. The bread is also incredibly fresh. The service is top notch and the environment is very comfortable. With all your needs covered in one place. Do not hesitate to stop in for a quick, well priced meal or snack. Definitely one of my favorites.

This is basically a Stockton institution and it has maintained the quality of its food since its inception. The raviolis are amazing and the handmade sausage cant be beat. They feature daily specials, great sandwiches, and fresh soup. There is fresh made for kosher bread and focaccia bread pizza. Lot of Italian groceries and pantry items. It adds to the quaintness of the Miracle Mile.

Honestly deserves the 5 star for friendly and great service. There was someone who was taking forever to decide what they want to order and everyone in line was impatient including myself. But the employees had the nicest attitude and patience. I ordered the Italian combo sandwich and it is delicious! The food is authentic and the service is great. My wife turned me on to Gians and Im so thankful she did! Her family has come here for a long time for the Raviolis, but I come for the sandwiches. Meats and cheeses are sliced fresh for each sandwich, and their marinated red peppers are insanely good. The owners are all super nice, and it feels like the old Italian delis my grandparents talk about from their youth. They also have a decent selection of Italian imports. Just remember to bring cash, they have an ATM machine inside, but the fee is steep.

BRING CASH! They only accept cash, though they have an ATM you can use (with a large fee). (I didnt see a sign warning if this on the door, which would have been appreciated.) The sandwiches are more expensive than a big chain, but they slice the meat and cheese right in front of you. You can taste the fresh ingredient difference.

These raviolis, are amazing. The fresh pasta is definitely my weakness. Service was fast and courteous with great recommendations from the staff since it was my first time. Sandwiches seem to be popular and with fresh bread I can see why. Mochas are an option too, dont forget that AND...Its a cash or check only spot so dont forget to bring the cash-ola.

I heard about this place on the food networks Diners, Drive ins, and Dives. The ravioli and sauce was my main focus when I stopped in. They have frozen containers of both to grab to go. When I got home to make this supposed authentic Italian meal, I was sadly disappointed at both the sauce and the ravioli. Both were flavorless, bland, and severely overpriced. I really wanted to like this place. I dunno if I just got a bad batch or what....if youre going to frequent this establishment, my advice would be to stick to the deli sandwhiches

Looked up the closest Deli while on my walk and found this place. The people were very friendly and cheerful and I got a roast beef sandwich with everything on it and omg it was amazing. Nice selection of sodas that you can add Torani Syrups too, even those include refills-impressive. Loooove the raviolis and potato salad. There sandwiches are nothing special. Genova Bakery is much better for sandwiches. Also noticed lately that some people are rude and dont make eye contact. It makes me feel uncomfortable and not want to frequent the establishmenta longer. I was just there today and again, not such friendly service. I almost feel like an inconvenience to them if you come in at a time other thanlunch. Anyway, nothing really special about this place other than potato salad and raviolis. On several occasions, i have been to this establishment and felt disrespected. during my most recent visit, i went to the store an hour and a half before closing, & was completely ignored by the man working. he acted as if he didn’t even see my brother and i standing there & continued to ignore us as we stood at the door knocking. let me say again, this was an hour and a half before closing. i’m not sure what kind of establishment is being ran or the type of people you guys prefer to serve, but you should learn to be a bit more respectful to ALL. thank you, have the day you deserve.

Phenomenal- if you like deli sandwiches - this is the place - this is a place I wish I could take my grandpa to sit down and eat. I have been going here more and more often since I work nearby and it’s always delicious. You have got to try their Foccacia break - it’s a must have.
