Found this place while strolling Pasadena on a Saturday. It is family owned and the owners are very nice, service is fast too. Decided to dine in and ordered pho, fried rice, shrimp spring rolls, and the mango boba tea. The pho was delicious, it has a good authentic flavor and could feed 2 people. The spring rolls were okay, not bad not extra food. But they were nice and fresh. The peanut sauce that came with it is amazingly good. It has a tiny spicy kick to it.The mango boba tea was good as well.The chicken fried rice is a good huge portion.Definitely will be coming back.

This is one of the last places on Colorado Blvd in Pasadena that wont charge you $25+ for lunch. So I appreciate they dont price gouge their customers. AND the food is really fantastic. It tastes fresh, authentic and well made. I plan to be a frequent customer.

Good service, not operated by all Vietnamese even though a Vietnam restaurant. Food is good, however the Pho noodle and the meat is kinda too thin. Good taste but no where near the original taste. Cozy and warming setting.If youre not Vietnamese, worth trying since pretty good price; otherwise, should find a place with more original taste.

Wonderful family owned eatery. Love their banh mi! Kinda pricey, but worth it considering that its a decent size & it comes with a bag of chips! They dont skimp on the meat or veggies, which is a plus. Friendly & efficient staff. There is indoor/outdoor seating, however limited. Will definitely be back to try their pho & spring rolls.

Cozy hole in the wall family business :0)Lots of things to choose from on the menu!Cute kid drawings on the wall (there was one of minecraft characters and someone getting stabbed lol).The football game was also playing on the tv above. So I could see sports fans appreciating it!The food was delicious! But I feel the meat portion was stingy. Barely any meat to match the rice. I understand we get two options to go with the rice but it was not proportionate. Therefore they get 4 stars from me.

Love this place!!!! My favorite pho place in the entire Pasadena area. The meat is always super tender. Their boba and spring rolls are great too and you can’t beat their prices! They have parking right in front of the store so take out is really easy to do. Highly recommend!!

I got the veggie vermicelli bowl and it was perfect. One of the bests vermicelli bowls I’ve had in LA. The patty was so flavorful. The vegetarian fish sauce was also good! Definitely one of my favorite Vietnamese spot in LA. Will be coming back for more.

We are visiting from Louisiana, and decided to stop in and try the bun bo hu. I am so glad we did. Great food and service.Update: Went back today for lunch. The vermicelli bowl is so delicious. I had the beef and shrimp. The service was very fast and friendly. Such a nice place with great food and service. I will be going back again.

This place is delicious and definitely worth any wait you might encounter. We got in just before the lunch rush and found a place to sit easily. We all had variations of the create your own rice or vermicelli plates- I got the grilled chicken and beef. Everything was so flavorful, and for a second I forgot whether Id ever eaten fish sauce before because this was just so much better than any Id had before! Will definitely return here to try more of the menu!

Was visiting Pasadena yesterday. Got really cold and hungry when I arrived, and needed some hot soupy food fast. When I first saw this restaurant, I thought it looked too small and shabby; not the type of place I would normally eat at. But, hunger got the best of me, so I walked in.The second I walked in, I was bombarded by a bunch of different food: sandwiches, salad, pasta, vermicelli, kalbi.... What? It has at least one of every cultures dishes in here! I couldnt decide what would be authentic here, I couldnt choose. So I went asking Yelp for help. According to Yelp, the Bun Bo Hue was there #1 dish, so I went for it.Im not sure what the difference is between Bun Bo Hue and pho, but Im very happy with what I got. Not only was it filling, but it was so hot (temp wise) that I was sweating and sniffling through the whole meal.Next time Im craving for pho, I know where to go 🙆

I knew it would be good from the first step into the building and could smell the pho broth. *cue happy dance*Everything about the meal was made with quality ingredients. From the espresso in the iced coffee, to the broth and fresh veggies.I branched out from my usual Vietnamese order and got the bun bo hue (spicy lemongrass broth with beef.) It was perfect. A little bit of tang, moderate amount of heat, and hearty flavor. Good meat portion, wish they had meatballs too.The goi cuon (summer rolls) are larger and cheaper than I am used to at home and the pork was tender and flavorful. Peanut sauce perfection.Overall, I will come back next time in town.Ps. An employee realized they forgot the veggies for the soup and literally ran down the sidewalk after me!Quality service and quality food.

Great little Vietnamese place! I went here around 3pm on a Saturday, and there werent any people eating in the restaurant. I guess everyone must be delivering nowadays, because my food was stellar. I ordered a summer roll, and this is the first place Ive been where you could pick your protein for the roll. When my order arrived, the chicken inside was marinated perfectly and the peanut sauce side was awesome. I also ordered an iced coffee, which was very tasty but a little sweet for my taste. (Some people would probably think this is perfect sweetness.) Good experience overall!

I love pho. Absolutely one of my favorite things to eat. I ordered the pho Tai, which is supposed to have thinly sliced filet minon. They gave me shredded beef. And the broth was seasoned with too much herb. I will never come back here agian.

Im very picky about my pho. This was the first time Ive had a vegetable pho and I can say it was lovely. Not only was it a good price but the veggies were really fresh and the broth was so tasty. Definitely recommend!

A small inconspicuous joint in the busy Colorado Ave next to Mixx. The menu has all the standard Vietnamese items of Pho, Rice Bowls and Banh mi. The Vegan Pho was good, the vegetables were fresh and tofu nicely done without over frying it. The place is slightly unkept and there is no restrooms available in a sitting restaurant, hence three stars.

My first time trying out their summer rolls which look so amazing in their pictures. I ordered tot take home, well they overcharged me and when I got home and opened the package I got something that did not look anything like what they have in their pictures, I dont know what they were, 2 rolls of disgusting pieces of tofu rolled in lettuce and 2 rolls of lettuce with thin noodles. No flavor, just bland noodles in lettuce, I will never go back.

3.5 Real Score -- I guess the spots in San Gabriel had me spoiled. You got the spicy noodle and it was only okay, and the chili seemed float on top and wasnt thoroughly flavored throughout the noodle. I got the spring rolls and they were decent. I will come back here in a pinch especially since the service was good, but if Im not feeling lazy, I would go ahead and go down to Alhambra or San Gabriel for other spots that are better.

Copious amounts of food for a decent price. I had the rice plate with bbq pork and egg rolls. It came with a house salad on the side: the tomatoes onions and lettuce were extremely fresh. The main was very filling and tasty.It seemed like the chef was also the owner, an d she came out to encourage us to move to a larger table and to inquire as to how the food was. Food definite prepared with a heart :)

I have eaten Vietnamese food and the food is sub-par. The Pho was small and sub-standard but the both was good. The chicken sandwich (Banh Mi) was over a foot long but the chicken meat was just okay and the ingredients such as cilantro, sliced vinegar carrots amount were small compare to other Vietnamese cafe.

So glad I found this place, I usually go to San Gabriel for pho but then I found this spot. I got a pho with filet mignon, brisket, and beef balls and it was great. You can really tell that they use quality meat if you try their pho with the filet mignon. I’ll definitely be coming back here for some more pho 💯

This place is pretty busy around lunchtime (at least when I went), but food still came out rather quickly.I ordered the spicy beef noodle soup, which was pretty yummy. I wouldve wanted another wedge of lime but I didnt bother asking, so no complaints there. Veggies were clean and fresh. Beef was thinly sliced, tender, not too fatty. Soup was perfect, not too salty but still flavorfulThe only reason I took off a star is because the iced caramel macchiato had grainy caramel syrup sedimented at the bottom of the cup, but enough had mixed in with the coffee to still have good flavor. Cant really fault them for this though, as theyre not a coffee shop or cafe. I just needed some caffeine haha.Overall, good place to lunch for an affordable price, considering the area/location :)

While visiting my cousins in Pasadena, I had the best summer rolls that any girl could have asked for. I highly recommend the chicken summer rolls and rice plate (with chicken) from the Ginger and Spice Noodle & Grill. It was so delicious and everything just melted in my mouth! My cousin Liz had been raving about this very cost-friendly Vietnamese place for some time but naturally, I was a little skeptical. Im happy to admit that I was wrong. If you love rice and noodles like we do, youll adore this place!

Awesome place to get a quick pho and its decently priced for Pasadena! So nice we dont have to drive all the way to SG to get pho. The broth is very flavorful and not too oily like some other places in Pasadena. Parking was easy to find on the street. You can choose between many meats to add to your pho without extra charge. I really enjoyed the spring rolls also! If Im ever craving pho this will my go-to in Pasadena!

When here about 3 times, only order pho should have really something else. This place easily best value in the area. Parking can be annoying. But if you live and work nearby this is definite worth to try. Pho here is quite good, the broth. Price is only $5.50. Portion size is not bad for what you get, the beef quality is better than typical pho. What is strange this is mostly serve western food but happen to server pho and spring roll as well. So is basically similar to apricott but is about 30% cheaper, not the same quality but that is some saving to be consider, if you want best pho in town i would recommed apriccot is $8 a bowl but is worth it too.
