This place has the best sushi!🍣 Its been here for awhile but my first time going,!! Service is fast and efficient. Not as welcoming as Id like . The building is a bit old and we went on a very hot day, they dont have AC! There was a big fan in the corner. If not for the heat this place deserves 5 stars. I will definitely go back once the weather is not so hot. The food is worth it;Crunchy roll and chicken yakisoba were the best!! You can watch your sushi being made! Great authentic flavors!! Its found in a small strip mall with decent parking lot. Overall good experience!

I love that it closes at 9:30pm because our class always ends at 9pm and we usually cant find a sushi place. Food is good though I would like the rice to be a bit softer.. Overall I still very much enjoyed the meal, the lady is super kind and even ran looking for me after I forgot my leftover box inside! I definitely recommend for grabbing a quick bite of sushi.

I decided to try this place, when we got there it didnt look like it was very popular as only there was only one table besides us for it. I got the softshell crabs, miso soup, crab Rangoon, and Dragon Roll. I never had softshell crab before so I was a little worried but it turned out rather good. The dragon roll was a impressive display of art.

I ordered the beef and chicken teriyaki combo. The beef came with veggies as you can see in the picture. A real teriyaki side doesnt have extra stuff.The eating area was sort of warm. The door was left open.The dragon roll was very good.The fortune cookie was a bit stale.

Ive been going here for over 15 years now and I am never disappointed. The portions are always great for the price and the staff is very quick to the point and nice. The sushi chefs are also always nice. I recommend ordering combos because they come with a lot of food you can mix and match and it comes with really good miso soup.

Needless to say, it takes 1 bad experience for me to not return .I came around 330 pm ( place was dead ) and my sushi looks old and sad .. nothing like the pictures or what I have received before . Tuna looks almost gray, it looks like they just smeared OLD avocado on top . Service was pretty good but def Won’t be coming here again .

This place broke my tipping streak. I walk in and it looks decent, I sit in the corner in front of the kitchen and god… I see the cooks with dirty aprons, dishes on the floor, no gloves!!! The woman with short hair was the worst, I saw her sprinkling something in someone’s rice, she blew her nose and carried on to grab someone’s plate, she obviously does not care. The food wasn’t the best, I am not a picky eater at all, BUT I got the Bento Box and the chicken was definitely old it was stale and tasted like it was reheated, the salad was watery, and the miso soup was tasteless. I was only able to eat some of the rice and tempura, the sushi was decent though but it was california roll sooooo. To top it off she got mad when I declined to tip, I hate not tipping because I understand how helpful they can be but I didn’t even finish my food :(

Nice little hidden spot in National City, been there for years. We always get Miso Soup, Chronic Roll, Red Dragon plus whatever else were craving. The Sushi Boat is pretty cool too, definitely picture worthy.

Ever since the first time my wife and I came here they have been very courteous and attentive. We have tried a lot of items from their menu and have not been disappointed. Food is yummy and not expensive at all. Our favorite rolls are the lemon roll and the dragon roll. Its a small gem nothing fancy but enough to have a good dinner on any day. If you havent tried it give it a chance. We come here at least once a week and every visit is very welcoming.

I got sick and decided to get a small sized Miso soup with a side of lemons. And when I said what I wanted to the lady at the register, she was very snarky and rude and while she was processing my card she told me that I could only get one lemon slice and I told her I would like more than one because I like a lot of it. And she said “no you’re not getting more, just one ☝️”. That’s when I told her, ”then i would like my money back since you wanna give me one”. She refused to give me a refund at first but after a back and fourth she did the refund process and it’s been a few days now and I still haven’t gotten my money back

This place had very good food!!! I went with my boyfriend today and it was 1hr away from closing so there werent a lot of people. The waitress there served us quickly and the food came out quickly too!!! I forgot what my bf ordered but it was some beef & broccoli noodles? That are pretty crispy on the edges!!! Omg it was so yummiiii!!!! And then I got the shrimp tempura udon for about $10!!!!! :DDD I got the noodles themselves in some stone bowl then a plate of fried vegetables and 4 shrimp tempura!!!!! The fried vegetables were carrot, zucchini, and potato!!! It was a lot of food for a very good price!!!!!! :DDDDD you should go here if youd like to eat some cheap Japanese food!!! 😋🍜🍱

I used to like this place for their food having good flavor & being priced a bit lower than at other sushi places, but yesterday was disappointing. They’ve never been the friendliest, which is fine by me, but they have gotten straight up careless about showing basic courtesy or attention to customers; Don’t expect to be greeted- just barge in and sit down. Also, be ready to order within minutes or they’ll punish you by taking forever to come back to ask again. If you need anything else after your food has been brought, holler and wave because the ladies will always pretend not to hear you unless you are obnoxiously loud or get up and go get them yourself. Yesterday something nasty happened: there were two chunks of something thin on the walls of my cup of sprite- like lettuce or ginger idk- I didn’t make a big fuzz I was discrete. When my friend and I managed to get the lady’s attention by both saying “excusemeeee” in synchronization, I showed the lady and she took it to the back to “bring another… Sorry about that” Unfortunately, for me and congratulations to her I guess, she got me because it wasn’t til I was almost leaving that I noticed the same exact two chunks of food in my drink! Lol! Kinda funny, how they were slick about it. I don’t think it’ll kill me, but also I am disgusted by it and their behavior. I didn’t bother to mention it on my way out. I just paid and even added a farewell tip because Pffft! what was I gonna do? Ask to speak to a manager? Ask them to deduct a soda off my check? Hahah! Just know that I am disgusted enough to never return and certainly won’t be recommending them. I feel bad for the chefs & wish I could rate them separately, 5star: the sushi presentation is beautiful.

I am a Vegetarian and came here for a nice vegi roll, salad, and fried rice. They let me special order the veggie roll to my liking. Not a fan of the salads thats personal preference. Fried rice is nice and not expensive. U do get a lot of it. I could have easily shared one plate with someone else. Overall I recommend.

I will not recommend this restaurant. As soon as you come in there is a cheese feet smell. You get for what you pay, the sushi is low quality and has no taste. The prices are low as well as the food. Great customer service from the host but they need to clean the place a little more and put more effort on the food quality. Not a sushi place its more like a Chinese restaurant.

For the price, literally one of the best sushi places in San Diego. The Asian woman was quick and to the point yet very kind. Unlike Uzimaki Sushi, the sushi here does not crumble to a million pieces when picked up with chopsticks. For the Americans saying this sushi is bland, I’ve lived in Japan and real sushi isn’t packed with seasoning and sugar like you are used to.

Awful awful customer service. Waitress yelled at me for paying coworkers food with their cards, screaming I was comitting a felony and that I will be going to prison. Told her several times that she was told by phone we were going to pay separately. Her attitude was beyond crazy. Should have left but I payed for the food. Good food though.

Horrible customer service was not even the worst of our experience. We were seated and sat for about 10 minutes before anyone approached us. When the waitress did get to the table she unpleasantly asked us if we were ready to order, followed by whatt we wanted to drink. Then the food arrived. Soggy, overcooked edamame was brought out after we recevied 2 of our rolls. Ive never had edamame where the entire skin broke apart and ended up almost dissolving in my mouth. The 3 rolls were ordered were pretty good but the sashimi was bad. And by bad, it was old. The taste and texture were off. I felt sick a few minutes later, as did my friend. Not once did anyone check on us, refill our waters or show any type of concern. Then we had to ask for our bill. Even as a last resort Sushi spot, I would not recommend this place.
